I like these cookies. They are very flavorful and just the right amount of 'chewy'. The local Whole Foods has selected items, and I looked forward to trying some of the others. I went online and noticed the cookie line has a number of intriguing names and flavors. They even have seasonal cookies, but it is not worth an 8-hour drive. The website is full of useful information with a colorful layout and more choices than in the store, but.... It has taken a few days of trying to use it. Each time I attempt an order from the cart and checkout, it fails. I hit roadblocks and error messages, failed entries, and cleared out fields. Be aware that the order page items field defaults to '1000' packages of cookies so credit card data is out of the question. If you want to make an online order, be careful. It turned out we've been buying stale cookies from this popular pizza joint all these time!!!!! Bc we just tried four different kinds of FRESH Isabella's Cookies, what a world of difference!!! Lucy Y. made me cheat. Sure, like most flings it started out innocent enough before she tempted me and I succumbed last week. I had been loyal for years to Scottie with no intention of every straying. I made this clear but Lucy was relentless in her praise of Muffy and how good she was. These are some dangerous cookies. They're so delicious that you can never eat just one, and before you know it, the entire bag of cookies disappear in just one night and you're covered in cookie crumbs! I first stumbled upon these sweet treats at Abbot's Pizza Company. Tempted but too cheap to pay the $3 for a singular giant cookie, I looked into the company to see what other stores sold them. On my search I discovered that Whole Foods stores sold bags of mini cookies for almost $7. An even better deal I discovered was the Famima store on Overland/Venice sold the same bag for $6! So I bought a bag of Maui Wowies (pineapple, coconut, white chocolate, macadamia nuts) and The Muffy cookies (blueberries, chocolate covered blueberries, white chocolate). The Maui Wowies are not for those who don't enjoy coconut, because there's a lot of coconut flakes in these cookies. Good thing I like coconut! Several weeks ago my friend and I ordered a batch of freshly cooked Milk & Bookies Chocolate Chip cookies from Isabella's and they were AMAZING. On Wednesday (07-25-2012) my friend and I picked up a new order this time we tried the 'Matinee' cookie and go figure we going to the Matinee showing of the Dark Knight Rises in IMAX the same day. We smuggled in 2 burritos from LAX Taco and Isabella's cookies into the movies. We were good movie goers and finished our burritos prior to taking the first bite of the 'Matinee.' I only wish I would of saved more room for more cookies. The cookies were simply AMAZING. The 'Matinee' cookie is Cinnamon Oatmeal cookie with raisins and chocolate covered raisins in every bite. (The cookies only last a day or so after the movies, I think we counted eating the rest of the them the next day as a meal). I consider myself a pretty honest woman. I try to only tell the whitest of lies when absolutely necessary. But I have to admit I had a moment of temptation recently thanks to Isabella's Cookies. I bought a bag of the twister flavor cookies from Whole Foods to provide as snacks for some friends who were coming over. They're the kinds with toffee, caramel and milk chocolate... need I say more? When I presented them on a plate I realized they looked and tasted so good and fresh that they were going to think I made them. And I have to admit, I came really really really close to saying I did. I thought Isabella's Cookie Company was a store, but as it turns out, you can find their cookies in various retail stores or you could order from the company directly. I've been so fortunate to try several of their numerous cookie varieties, and I haven't been disappointed with anything that I've tried. To me, the perfect cookie sports a soft and chewy consistency, and it includes a strong enough flavor of its specific ingredient (chocolate, peanut butter, mint, etc.). I love Isabella's Cookies because they are definitely moist and chewy (vs. hard and crispy), and they're generously filled/studded with different featured mix-ins. They also contain a good variety of cookies for different holidays and special occasions, so be sure to check the website to see what seasonal offerings are available. Here's what I would recommend if you're ordering from Isabella's: "Peanut Butter Bomb": These really were thebomb.com! I love peanut butter cookies with a chewy, moist, tender consistency, so the Isabella's version was an all-around win for me. These cookies come chockfull of peanut butter chips and peanut butter candies (in the peanut butter cookie). Peanut butter lovers -- you'll truly go nuts for these soft-and-chewy treats. I love strong peanut butter flavors in my cookies, so this would probably be one of my favorites from the wide assortment at Isabella's. "Red Velvet": I absolutely love red velvet cupcakes and pancakes, but more often than not, I've found that red velvet cookies can be a hit-or-miss deal. Thankfully, though, Isabella's "Red Velvet" cookies were a winner! I would definitely order a bag of these scrumptious delights again. Isabella's teamed up with the famous Buttermilk Truck--known for their red velvet pancakes--to create their red velvet cookie, which comes topped with a vanilla drizzle. I loved the moist texture of these cookies, which did remind me of the Buttermilk Truck's famous silver dollar-sized red velvet pancakes, which I was so fortunate to have enjoyed. They were soft, chewy and crumbly all at the same time, and the sweet vanilla drizzle was truly the icing on the cake. These cookies were seriously so good that I almost finished an entire bag of eight (or so) by myself ... in one sitting. "Isabella's Original Cookie (without Nuts)": Though the "original" chocolate-and-peanut butter chip, walnut-studded cookie at Isabella's is a yummy treat, I still prefer my cookies without nuts, so this sweet treat was right up my alley. (The "Original" is definitely a must-try, though, since it does contain peanut butter chips).This "no-nut" version still contained the features of the "Original"--soft, chewy texture and a generous amount of chocolate chip and peanut butter chip mix-ins--but sans the walnuts. Great for traditionalists who are perfectly satisfied with more "traditional" chocolate chip cookies. I'm glad the Isabella team made a version of the "Original" cookie without nuts for cookie fanatics like myself who just prefer straight-up chocolate and peanut butter cookies with no extra fuss or frills! "V-Chip (Vegan Chocolate Chip)": It can be hard to find a decent Vegan-friendly treat that's not super dry and lacking in flavor, but Isabella's nails it when it comes to Vegan treats. If I didn't know these cookies were Vegan-friendly, I wouldn't have been able to tell at all! The cookies are pretty simple in taste and texture--sporting plenty of chocolate chips--but the result is phenomenal. These soft and chewy treats basically taste the same as the other non-Vegan cookies, and I would order them again in a heartbeat. Who knew that Vegan cookies could be so delicious? "V-Coco": This Vegan cookie is like a moist, double chocolate cookie and it's absolutely amazing. It features lots and lots of chocolate chips, making each bite a perfect balance of moist cookie with great texture. "Chocolate Haze": I haven't had a chance to taste this delightful chocolate cookie yet, but it's on my "to-taste" list for sure. It features chunks of dark chocolate and hazelnuts, providing the best of both worlds in one cookie. Because I'm a fan of Nutella, I'm sure I'll like this cookie. I really like dark chocolate because of its bittersweet taste (though nothing's wrong with rich and creamy milk chocolate), but I'm excited to experience the hazelnut chunks in this cookie as well. "V-Breakfast": Though I haven't gotten to try this Vegan delight just yet, it really does sound like the perfect breakfast treat. It features a soft maple cookie filled with crunchy waffle bits, mouth-watering chocolate chips and vegan bacon. Now, I don't think I've ever had vegan bacon in my life, so that would be a first-time experience. But this cookie sounds like a great sweet-savory treat (like a maple-bacon waffle, but in cookie form) that I'm more than willing to try. read more

Isabella's Cookie Company: Yes, the cookies are delicious. I tried various cookies. The one that stood out was a cookie that contained: macadamia nuts, pineapple, coconut, and white chocolate. Doesn't sound good at all it was delicious. The reason why I decided to write this review is because of the chocolate chocolate, chocolate, chocolate chip vegan cookies. I am no vegan but the family is, so I eat vegan on the regular. I must say that these cookies are by far the greatest tasting ones I have yet to try. They taste as if they were made from the chocolate tears of real chocolate angels. I am a huge fan. I even saved the wrapper, snapped a pic, and forwarded to my folks in hopes that they see the light. Isabella's now makes vegan cookies!! I was looking for sweets at Whole Foods one day and pleasantly chanced upon the V-Coco and V-Nutter cookies. The V-Coco cookies are awesome!! Even my bf, who isn't a big fan of desserts, enjoyed them and said they were the best vegan cookies he's ever tasted! They are very chocolate-y without it being too intense and has tons of chocolate chips in them. The V-Nutter ones are also good, but a little dry and doesn't have enough peanut butter flavor, IMHO. After reading my friend Michelle T's review of these cookies, my wife and I had to hunt them down. We found them at the Whole Foods in RB on PCH. Large display rack just as you enter the market like the pic Michelle posted. We ended up buying the Original. Got a cup of coffee from McDonald's and we were all set to try them out... Great cookies! Nice and soft, the right amount of bite, not too sweet. I'd love to try these right out of the oven. Ok, so after reading my review, Jennifer (aka Isabella) wrote me and insisted that I try one of her other flavors. I ended up taking her up on her offer and she mailed me a really nice, sweet package of not only one bag of cookies, but four!! The cookies came in this cute tote and I actually got excited to try them! She sent The Muffy, The Matinee, Maui Wowie and Isabella's Original. I have to say, they were all really good! I especially liked The Matinee cookies, but all were delicious! My boyfriend agreed, as did a couple other friends who tried them who had never had this brand before. They said they would totally go out and buy some! You've got some new customers added to your list! =P Thank you for caring about your customers and sending such a generous gift!
