My friends and I DoorDashed this matcha to our work because it looked super official and we thought it'd be yummy. I obviously wasn't inside to see what the vibes were but I think it's located in a grocery store. I'm not sure what happened but my friend and I both ordered matcha au laits sweetened, but one of them came unsweetened. Also, there was barely any ice by the time it got to us. We've ordered drinks from other even further places and the ice wasn't melted, so either the quality of ice was bad or they just didn't put enough possibly? For the matcha itself, I honestly expected better. It was definitely more grassy and earthy tasting which was not my personal favorite notes (but I don't mind it and the quality was definitely present), but there were also visible matcha chunks at the bottom of my drink so they also didn't whisk it very well. I've been to Mitsuwa countless times and always walked by Yamari, but this time I finally decided to give them a try. I decided to order the mixed parfait, which comes with half matcha and half vanilla soft serve, shiramata dango, bean paste, and has a base of matcha jelly along with the chocolate piece for decor. The dessert was honestly very refreshing, and the matcha flavor is really pleasant, definitely reminiscent of that you can get in Kyoto. I've tried this place several times and given it way too many chances. Every drink I've had here has been disgusting - the matcha doesn't even taste properly bitter and when getting a sweet drink, there's little to no flavor and tastes watered down.
