Isabella's in Ventnor has always been one of our favorite spots, so we were excited to try their newly opened sister property, Isabella's AC Café. Our lunch was fantastic and showed the same quality and care we love from the original location. The décor is beautiful and the staff is outstanding. You can feel the attention to detail in everything they do. The food is fresh, simply seasoned and consistently delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Avocado Salad and it was excellent. The grape tomatoes were sweet, the spring mix was abundant, and the grilled shrimp were seasoned perfectly. Some of the best shrimp flavor I have had so far. I chose the chipotle dressing and it was delicious. My husband had the Steak Sandwich on focaccia with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. Outstanding. The fries were fresh, flavorful and not greasy. He also loved their Mexican hot chocolate made from scratch. A must every time. Parking is street and metered so you do have to pay, but it is easy and convenient. It is always nice to see Dolfino and his wife Lupay. They greet everyone warmly and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. This was our first visit to the new AC Café location and it was a great experience from start to finish. A wonderful birthday dinner! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Freshly prepared food and decent sized portions made the perfect combo! The steak burrito was full of steak, onions and pico de gallo.with a side of refried beans, rice and guacamole it was big enough for two . The sopa was a big bowl of flavorful broth, mussels, octopus and shrimp. The shrimp dish was a pepper sauce in a bed of spinach. Although the food was good, it left a little to be desired. Beans are extremely watery and served on the same plate with the rice which they leaked into and some people don't like that. Absolutely no cheese included in the meal. Hhave celiac disease and that is to be taken very very seriously. When I asked if they had gluten-free, they did bring me gluten-free fajitas, gluten-free soft taco shell to put my food in. While we were all eating and there were six of us, the servers kept coming over and asked us if we done? Are we done? Can we clean up the dishes? And we kept saying no we are not done yet. While I was still eating and talking with a friend at the table, they took away my rice, my beans and my gluten- free taco shells. I went back to eating and noticed they were all gone. I asked our waitress what happened and could you get me more soft taco shells which she did but did not get me a gluten-free taco shell which was wrapped in foil and to boot, she only gave me one. (I had three left! ) That is extremely extremely dangerous! To give someone with celiac disease, regular taco tacos with gluten She was our waitress and she knew that I requested gluten-free because I have celiac disease. Between that incident and the service that wouldn't even allow us to sit and relax and eat in a timely manner I will never unfortunately go back to Isabella's. We we're not there an unusual amount of time, but we're being rushed out. Never again and never again for my own health and safety. read more

Yet another AMAZING sandwich at Isabella's cafe in Ventnor. This was a special that the chef whipped up today and Wow was it fantastic. Melted mozzarella with tomatoes, bacon, basil pesto mayo spread, wonderfully seasoned on perfectly done buttery Texas toast. One of the best sammy's I ever had. Just 2 tostadas (especially after tortilla chips and salsa) was enough to satisfy our hunger. The soup was flavorful and hearty with thick slices of avocado. In fact, the tostadas had less flavor in comparison. I appreciated the fresh ingredients atop the chicken and beans for a nice balance. It was quiet, as expected for early dinner on a weekday during the 'off season.' The staff were welcoming and gave us privacy as the only patrons at the time. During our #tikitriathlon eating - drinking - shopping. We stopped by for a late breakfast. Cute place with friendly staff. The food was amazing. Tiki hubby and I shared the chicken and waffles. Three quarters of a thick Belgium waffle with strawberries and blueberries and a delicious crispy chicken cutlet. We had plenty and some for later. I've been to Isabella's several times and I love this local spot. Great breakfast and lunch dishes. To the good stuff: *the waffles foster- waffle topped with banana foster sauce-it's amazing! The bananas foster sauce is exactly as described, served warmed with whipped cream on top. Try one of their lunch wraps, they don't disappoint either! Parking-parking can be tricky during the Somers moths, as street parking is limited. They're open all year round, so come visit during the "locals" summer! read more

The owner and our waitress were amazing. Very attentive and kind. The only thing i will say is that some of the staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude but we didn't have to deal with them so much. During the Covid-19 era it's hard finding a space to enjoy a meal out knowing you're safe and sound. Isabella's was safe all around. Start to finish the service was spectacular and all safety precautions were put in place to enjoy our meal. The wait staff wearing masks and the host area doing the same. Can't beat the BYOB option too! They even gave us a bucket of ice to hold our bottle. Very nice. What we snagged: -Chips and guacamole -Chicken Enchiladas in verde sauce -Steak Quesadilla (Aka 'Case) -Various fajitas -Avocado Salad -All meals came with side of rice and beans too! Everything was delish and hot. Meals came out the same time and we were happy with the water fills and less frequent trips to our table by the wait staff. Again, taking everything very seriously. This was a go to place, especially for soup. My last dinner there, I ordered the Aztec soup and it was just ok. When the dinners first started, it was outstanding, exceptional, fabulous. For lunch today, I ordered the soup and half sandwich. Today, I stopped eating the soup after a few spoonfuls. After I finished my overly mayo laden half sandwich, the waitress took the bowl of soup and the empty plate away. When she asked, I said I really didn't like it. And she walks away. She quickly drops off the check. I flag her down and say I am still hungry and order a side of fries, $5. She takes the check with her. In a few minutes, I get a few (like you could count them) fries.. The waitress then says she didn't charge me for them and returns the original bill. So, $14 for a handful of fries and a half of sandwich. read more

But both - comes with excellent service... maybe a little slow at times but we super time and a consensus effort to be attentive. 1) Brunch = fish platter and solid basic egg combos 2) Dinner is the star with spicy Aztec soup options, chicken tamales, fish tacos, and a solid chicken mole sauce. 3) BYOB I'm not even the biggest Mexican American fan but this place can hit the spot for a post beach occasion. read more

What a true gem. The food and service were outstanding. We went for breakfast on a short excursion to the beach and boy we were pleased. We met the owner (not Isabella, she named the restaurant after her daughter) and she was charming and so in love with what she does. Very creative dishes with a Mexican flair.
