Hard hard seats. Deafening noise level. My bill was $40. I left 5 ten dollar bills, even though the service was meh. Waitress ran out to the parking lot claiming I didn't leave her enough money. They also have to-go counter service for deli staples. We had the south street omelette, the crab Benedict, the Rueben sandwich and pastrami sandwich -- all 4 dishes were fantastic -- well cooked, well constructed, fresh and balanced in flavor. This being my first visit I wasn't clear if you seat yourself and hope a waitress shows up at your table or if you wait to be greeted and seated. People hustling around working, it took a few minutes to confirm 'seat yourself!' I sat next to the window. The air conditioning would drip above me every so often. Mildly annoying since the waitress directed me to the table sans a caveat about dripping. My Waitress was efficient. Nothing overly friendly. The Waldorf chicken salad wrap (special today) was delicious. It had strawberries, grapes, apple and lettuce drizzled with balsamic! It was accompanied by House made chips and a pickle. They serve Pepsi products. Iced tea is in a bottle. The restaurant was very busy. Outside tables have umbrellas or there are a few up against the restaurant exterior wall in the shade. Here's another favorite cafe & deli of mine that specializes in breakfast which is one of my favorite meals of the day! they're open Tuesday-Sunday & they have some killer Benedict's. I got the Veggie version with spinach, tomato, avocado, poached eggs, hollandaise, multigrain bread & a side of their House Fried Rice. The eggs were perfectly runny & the fried rice had pork roll in it which made it SO tasty! For fresh ingredients cooked to order at a reasonable price, you definitely have to come here. Service was great despite the longer wait on a weekend. Our waitress checked on us regularly even though she had a ton of tables. Wow! I'm so glad we found this cafe and deli spot. All the meals we ordered were delicious. My Asian parents were especially astounded and excited to try the side of fried rice and it was pretty tasty. We thought the meat would be spam, but it was just ham - that's alright healthier for them anyways. I personally ordered the Italian sub, and it was out of this world. The downside to this spot is that it gets very loud. I think it is the design of the tables and seating, and it's like a rotunda, and all the noise seem to be amplified and we can hear every crying baby. With that said, come in for some good grub and great friendly service and don't expect to sit in a quiet spot for a catch-up - find somewhere for that. I definitely would come back again!! read more

What a great place. Went for brunch on an old gift certificate and was totally unaware the place even existed. A combination Breakfast and Deli. Open for breakfast and lunch according to web site. Surprised they substituted fried rice for breakfast potatoes if you wanted. I ordered eggs benedict with the fried rice just to give it a shot. Eggs were perfect and fried rice was a really different approach. Rice had pork roll in it so I guess that made it a breakfast rice. Anyway very good with a hint of sesame oil. Other order was a combination wrap with chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese and fried rice. Again, different than others, but very good. Service quick, efficient and friendly.. Glad we went. read more

I have been to Carangi's a few times and I have enjoyed my experience every time!! I went with a few friends this weekend, and it was packed, but we were seated within 15-20 minutes. I love the vibe inside and they have plenty of tables, but they're pretty popular so the wait was expected. The staff was very friendly, as they always are, and our server was really attentive to our needs. I got a BLT club sandwich with sweet potato fries and a diet pepsi and it was all soooo delicious!! We have been eating at Carangi's Cafe about every third week. Each time we come in I get something different, each time I feel like I find myself saying "this is my new favorite." Today was the Cali Benny for me, my wife got the Cali sandwich and we both enjoyed it and said it was a winner. The staff at Carangi's doesn't stop, they are super friendly and efficient and they keep the place looking great. The only word of caution would be, it's busy and it can get loud, if you're someone with higher social anxiety, just be aware of this and perhaps grab food to go... trust me, it's worth it! Came here for brunch with my friends after spending the week in Ventor. It was a seat yourself and the staff seemed pretty friendly and the dining area was packed with locals. The food came out fast which was appreciated and everything tasted like pure comfort. The S'mores french toast was super indulgent and will satisfy that sweet tooth. The southwest cheesesteak was above average being loaded with steak and bacon (my only comment were that the fries were a little under seasoned and the bread was not toasted). This was an accidental "stumble-upon" experience, that I am so wildly grateful for. We were driving around looking for a place to get brunch, and saw a big crowd outside of Caranjis...which immediately peaked our interest. Upon arriving we figured that there may have been some wait given the crowd that we had seen, but they worked really quickly and we were able to get seated within a few minutes. I think it's helpful that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was awesome, and very funny. We really enjoyed her sense of humor and attentiveness throughout the meal. While their menu has plenty of brunch staples, they definitely add some flair to your usual omelettes or breakfast sandwich options. I personally ordered a Mexican omelette which was delicious, but the item that stole the show for me was there breakfast fried rice which was cooked rice with eggs and pork roll and onions! Everyone at our table had some of this and was blown away... If I could recommend getting just one thing it would be this. One of my buddies also ordered a breakfast sandwich that came on French toast and that was jam-packed with flavor hitting all the right combinations of sweet and savory. My husband and I had the pleasure of stopping in here yesterday for a quick lunch before starting our day. We actually live about a mile away and always see people posting in a local Facebook group about how amazing this place was, so we wanted to check them out. Was nice to see that they had outdoor dining (unfortunately it had just rained, so we went inside). Chairs are metal so we were not worried about weight limit. Once inside, we were greeted and was informed we could sit wherever. If you have high anxiety or don't do well with louder places, avoid sitting inside. It wasn't full but it was loud!!!! Super cute and semi clean inside. Everyone was busy doing something. Waitress was over to the table quickly and dropped off menus and todays special. I knew what I wanted before entering since I have food intolerances. But after seeing the specials, that changed lol. I had to get the teriyaki chicken! Man alive so happy I did! Probably one of best teriyaki chickens I have ever eaten! Chicken was super soft, I didn't even need a knife. Sauce was sweet but not overwhelming. They have portable ordering devices that take your order and was a pos. So that was nice. Over all we are happy we finally stopped in and will be back to work our way through the menu! read more

while visiting ventnor city, i wanted to try out carangi's, however i had to pay a toll to get here . very disappointing and inconvenient. once we got past that, the restaurant is very nice and well kept. it is a modern dining experience and if it weren't for the toll, i would like to visit again. the prices are great, and the value is definitely there. the food is DELICIOUS!!! i would highly recommend. the food came out so fast and our server was very kind. the s'mores french toast was very good and tastes just how it sounds. i asked for light nutella so i'm not sure how much would normally come on it. the southern cheesesteak is a great option if you're looking for to fill that craving. the bread isn't accurate to philly bread, but the rest is great. grilled cheese was good, perfectly toasted with the right amount of cheese. the serving size was for an adult, which is great!!! sometimes places give smaller portions for children, however that was not the case here. i would recommend for family, friends, and everything in between. this place is great, especially for locals. read more

The food was good, the home fries were good. The, Philly cheese steak omelette was very tasty just wish the cheese had been melted inside instead of on top. This would've made it complete. The rice did not have quite as much seasoning as I had hoped it to have. It was just a little too soggy, but it was different.. I had a special which was waffles and chicken. The chicken was a little too thin more onto the dry side, but although it had a very good flavor with the hot honey, the waffle was excellent. It was very moist and had a amazing flavor.. the other person in my party had the Mexicali omelette. They said it was quite delicious. . The portion sizes were acceptable as we had to take some home. This was good.. The prices were well within range. I was pleased.. The restaurant was very clean and offered a very nice outside seating area for those that like to eat outside.. the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The only thing I can say was when they brought the machine to me to do my bill that they automatically had the tips set to 20 some percent, and I thought that you should be able to choose your own tip which you were, but they had it set where they would like you to tip them. I thought this to be a little pushy.. all in all this was be a place that I would visit again and I think everybody may want to give us a try if they would like if you are in the area area. read more
