Complete rip-off. The burnt food isn't remotely worth their price-gouging rates. To top it off, they hid the receipt to steal my change and only gave it back when I forced the issue. Disgusting food, dishonest staff. Avoid.

My Husband wanted to try this local spot he saw on Yelp. It's small with a small eating area. A young lady greeted us and told us we could seat ourselves and she came and took our orders. We ordered several items, everything was tasty and came out hot. We would like to return when we come back to AC again.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this local spot out while down in AC for a conference. Absolutely delightful, lots of food, not too expensive and very tasty. Will definitely be a go to spot when back down here.

A little hole in the wall kinda place! We were looking for a place to eat for breakfast and came across this little place. We were kinda skeptical to go in because we thought it was close, turned out the sign was just little. Came in greeted and sat immediately. We only saw two workers, the server/ cashier and cook. We ordered their coffee first (wanted hot chocolate but it was not available) we then ordered different ones. All were amazing and flavorful, they made everything fresh! They only have few tables so if you come in a group better to call ahead of time. Ohhh! Not forgetting the flan! It was firm and so good plus not that sweet! We will definitely be back!!

I was attracted by the local small hole in the wall charm , i was hoping for a surprise or a hidden jem . The place was not crowded and I expected more effort in the food . I would say there was poor effort and poor execution os mexican food . The breakfast was not so good. I hope this experience was only for me and they become better . Thrre is charm . And there is parking across the street for 5 usd

Food was delicious the order of chorizo sopes had three which came with two sides of green and red hot sauce. The fish soup was good but mostly crustacean and slightly spicy it came with a side of rice, tortillas, lime cilantro and onions. The server was very friendly as well. It's a small place but very good.

Breakfast burrito without peppers, onions and avocado, only scrambled eggs, chorizo and black beans.

I ordered the Breakfast burrito that normally comes with chorizo, scrambled eggs, black beans, onions & peppers, avocado. I ordered mine with only the black beans, chorizo and scrambled eggs. I ordered over the phone and had no issues. Found out breakfast is served all day (it was dinner time when I called). It was delivered hot and fresh. Super tasty. It had descent kick (nothing crazy but I'm more on the mild side when it comes to spice so thought I'd mention the heat). Friendly service. Fries were fresh, crispy and good. Not greasy at all. Can't wait to go back on our next visit.

Salt & Pepper is a cash only small restaurant located on Pacific which is just one block from the Boardwalk. Inside it's very plain with an ordering counter in front of the small kitchen with an adjacent small dining room. I think most of their patrons get their food to go. I visited for lunch last week and ordered a cubana torta with fries for $17. I added a Mexican coke to drink. If you dine in like I did they provide table service. The meal arrived in less than 15 minutes after ordering. My picture doesn't due justice to the size and thickness of the torta. It consisted of meat, lettuce, tomato, avocado and beans. This was a very good tasting and filling sandwich. Honestly, it was more than I could eat. Also the fries, were hot and seasoned and good. I enjoyed them too. This is a very simple restaurant that serves very good food at attractive prices.

Salt & Pepper is an authentic Mexican restaurant that opened in Atlantic City, New Jersey in March 2023. Crafted with the freshest ingredients, the menu consists of classic Mexican dishes such as enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, mojarra frita, bistek, tortas and chilaquiles. The menu also features classic American dishes such as burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, and fries. There is even a full breakfast menu with items such as omelets, egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos, pancakes, and egg dishes that have a Mexican twist. Salt & Pepper is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is CASH ONLY. My family and I visited Salt & Pepper this past summer while we were on a road trip. We were looking for a good place to grab lunch near the boardwalk one day, and Salt & Pepper came highly recommended on Yelp. At face value, the restaurant seems like a hole-in-the-wall and the neighborhood is a little rough around the edges. Don't be turned away by this. The place is indeed tiny inside. Upon entering, you will immediately see the kitchen with three or so people working their butts off. There is an adjoining dining room with a limited amount of tables. Fortunately, we were able to secure a table right away. Most of the patrons seemed to be of Mexican descent, which is always a good sign. My older son and I ordered and shared the "Nachos Mixtos" (mixture of beef, chicken and chorizo) while my wife had the "Chorizo Tacos". To drink, we ordered a couple of Jarritos sodas. This food was excellent!!! Everything tasted so fresh, the balance of the spices was perfect, and the garnishes were a nice touch. The food had that sort of homemade vibe to it and the staff were very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for excellent Mexican cuisine in Atlantic City then look no further than Salt & Pepper!

My husband and I are always in search for an authentic tacos and this place nailed it. It's a small family owned place along pacific Ave. although pacific isn't my favorite, this place is worth it!! The establishment is clean and well maintained with several small tables inside. The owner quickly greeted us and sat us with menus. The smells coming from the kitchen, which is right at the entrance were incredible. I'm didn't see shrimp tacos on the menu but when I asked if they could make them, the owner generously obliged. The fresh tortillas and shrimp were wonderful. So much flavor!! They don't sell beer inside but I was told we could bring some beers from the corner store if we wanted. I really enjoyed this place and the service we received. I will definitely be comping back.

Salt & Pepper may not look like much on the outside, but the inside is filled with warmth, flavor, and smiles. I ordered an horchata along with the ranchero eggs and a side of nopales -- everything was wonderful, exactly what my tummy needed! The nopales, in particular, were so well-seasoned and perfectly cooked!

I came during lunchtime come in was the only person eating in; a few others came in for pickup. The Atlantic City boardwalk sure is deserted this time of year.. Service was fast and friendly. The seating area is very basic, with metal tables.. They only take cash and Zelle. My nachos were huge but I just didn't dig them as much as others I have had. The fresh avocado was great. They charge $2 for a cheap plastic bottle of water.

I came here for a later dinner and was very happy with everything! The service was quick and excellent. The restaurant was very casual but I did not mind that. The food itself was very delicious and the portion sizes were great as well - would definitely recommend!

The price is amazing, quality is outstanding, extremely authentic and service was great. A very small restaurant with maybe 3-4 tables but everything is very tight and a bit hot. No AC but one fan. My bf and I stopped by and we were the only ones dining inside, but the door constantly opened with customers picking up food. Our waitress was the friendliest and cutest person ever. Very happy and loved her job. This restaurant does not come with complimentary chips and salsa and the food (besides entrees) do not come with sides. However, the taste and quality is out of this world and so worth it! We ordered shrimp tacos, which came with 3pieces and extremely fresh. We also shared an order of the original tlayuda and chose mixed meat since the waitress recommended it. Very heavy and filling. Can't wait to come back and try other items off the menu!

It had good reviews and Google suggested I might like it based on places I've been to here in Baltimore. So, you know I had to cross reference on Yelp, my most trusted source of recommendations. Yelp said, yes ma'am and I said say less. After some rooftop drinks at Vue bar, I stopped in for takeout. I only browsed the menu briefly, but I knew when I saw huaraches and tlayuda it was going be a hit! There's nothing like authentic Mexican. While I wanted to try a little bit of everything, I'm only one girl and I was traveling solo, so I ordered steak nachos, an al pastor torta, and a single lengua taco. The way I inhaled those nachos, the roof of my mouth be damned! They were so simple, just black refried beans, meat, queso fresco and some pickled veg, yet so delicious. The lengua taco had more of a shredded consistency than the tender chunks I'm used to, but the flavor was yummy and the torta was still great 3 days later. 10/10 would recommend!

The place is a decent size so there are plenty of seats. It's certainly a hole-in-the-wall, no frills type of place. You're not coming here for the ambiance. We really wanted tacos, so that's all we ordered. We were disappointed to find that you couldn't really mix and match the meats. 1 order comes with 3 tacos so if you aren't coming with a big group or if you're not trying to have 30+ tacos you will be limited in what you can try. I wish I could've tried all of their tacos but I wasn't interested in taking a ton to go. We settled on the Tripa, Lengua, Cachete Res, and al Pastor. The tacos came out pretty quickly and they were pretty good. The meats were flavorful and the tortillas were solid. They weren't the best tacos I've ever had, but they were good. Aside from not being able to order just 1 taco, my other gripe is the price. 1 order of tacos is $15 and $5/taco is a little steep in my opinion. Sure these tacos are bigger than your average taco, but as someone who likes to order a variety I have to dock points. I wouldn't mind coming back to Pancho's, but it wouldn't be my first choice for food in AC.

Though I don't usually join them on these jaunts the need for some family time was present and I was able to get a ticket for the bus that leaves from my area fairly quick and easy. I'm in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and the ride is about two hours give or take depending on traffic. Once I arrived and having caught up for a few minutes we decided to get some lunch. My early start found me only having one of those Carnation Breakfast drinks on the bus. There were a few interesting options to enjoy but Mom suggested Casa Taco and I'm not one to argue since I love Mexican food myself. The downside was that they were not yet serving lunch so breakfast it was. We all kept it simple and ordered the "Two Eggs with Meat" listing on the menu. I had scrambled eggs with sausages and my folks the same but with a differently prepared egg. A steaming cup of coffee and orange juice complimented the order. The restaurant was clean and very open in terms of layout and while I didn't catch our servers name she was very friendly and brought our orders out as quick as it was possible. At the end there wasn't a scrap on my plate but like I said I was hungry. So if you find yourself in the Tropicana down in Atlantic City, NJ this is a good recommendation from me. I cannot say when or if I will be back here because I like to try different places whenever I visit somewhere but only time will tell.
