Issac was AMAZING! I called him because a bedroom door got locked that we don't have a key for and since it wasn't an emergency, he said he would be out in a couple hours which was cool with me. He was here in about an hour and got right to work. He tried to pick the lock but didn't have any luck. He said he didn't want to drill because it's not necessary and makes a huge mess. He ended up using pliers and pulling the handle out a bit then using a credit card to pop the door open. Worked like a charm! He even looked at my door and replaced the latch for me because mine got stuck a lot. It ended up being an old latch that he said isn't even in production any more. Honest, Affordable, Fast! BEST LOCKSMITH IN TOWN! I locked myself out of my house. Left the keys on the counter and shut my door and was locked out on a Sunday afternoon. I called ISD Locksmith and Isaac immediately answered the phone. I told him my situation and he said no problem, be there in 15 minutes. 8 minutes later he was at my front door ready to help. He was very helpful and informative. He showed me what he was doing and in turn taught me to always lock my deadbolt lock instead of just the handle. He unlocked my screen door and my front door in no time. He told me a deadbolt lock is much more secure and that you can't lock yourself out because you have to use a key to lock the door. So I am stupid and that's why Isaac has had not one but two opportunities to bail me out...the first time I locked myself out was 2 weeks ago, it was late at night and I yelped a locksmith because there are some shady ones out in PB and MB. I read good stuff about Isaac and called, he was polite professional and upfront about the costs. He came within 10 minutes (I live in Mission Beach and he is close!)and picked through two locks on two doors quickly and then gave me some tips for securing my place better (even against lockpicks!) He was very helpful and respectful. He gave me a deal even though he picked two locks, it was really obvious he wasn't out to get as much money out of me as possible. He gave me his card and I kept it. ...Which was good because I locked myself again tonight and called him again. The challenge was bigger though because on both doors I had deadbolts AND door knob locks. I left my keys at my gym which had already closed. On the phone he was a real pal because he said that given the added challenge it would be easier for me to just get a hotel and grab my keys in the morning--once again not trying to get money out of me. I asked him to walk me through some scenarios and he gave me a range of prices given what sorts of things he might do to get past the locks--best case/worst case. I had him come over anyway (haha against his own advice!) because my girlfriend wanted in the house and that's that. He came quickly tried picking one lock for while had no luck and then drilled it. He waited as long as he could to do so in order to save me pain. Then he got the doorknob unlocked and worked on the second door--i felt like I was testing him! well anyway he got through those in a jiff and then he only charged me $120 for all that effort! He was at my place for quite some time and at every turn he tried to save me money and pain! Isaac is a real professional and looked out for me. I originally called 24/7 Locksmiths before I called ISD. 24/7 Locksmith arrived 30 mins after they said they would and charged me a $29.99 service fee. Then when the guy saw my door he told me it would be an additional $100 to get me in to my apartment, so I refused. I paid him the $29.99 fee and call ISD Locksmith.
