I've heard amazing things about this place and I've been wanting to come by to experience it myself. Not quite sure how their menu works but I did check out their instagram and seen they have seasonal drinks. The spring menu! I wanted to try each drink they had to offer because they sound so amazing but I chose to try one of their creamy matcha series drink. I got the passion fruit lemonade matcha, I am a sucker for passion fruit. This drink was amazing. I've never had anything like this before. So refreshing and flavorful, creamy and sweet. We both love matcha and I've been wanting to visit and learn how to make matcha so I thought this place would be a great little girls date. I made reservations on their website. We arrived Saturday probably 5mins before our noon reservations. Lucky found parking right in front of the Sun Stereo Warehouse. There was no one there at the time we arrived but people started to trickle in a few mins after we got seated. We didn't know what to expect and how to order until we realized we ordered so much TEA!!! lol so we did The Isla Experience to share comes with 3 tea samples, 1 solo pot, 1 savory and 1 sweet nibble. Tea: Jasmine, Earl Grey and oolong were our choices. The jasmine smelled beautiful, the oolong was good and but the Earl Grey was our favorite! They served it with a side of honey and sugar cubes. The food was amazing. My friend and I shared the pesto turkey cheddar crossiant comes with a salad and it was delicious!! Perfectly toasted and the pesto was good portion was definitely large enough to share. The salad was fresh and the dressing was phenomenal. For the sweet we chose Tao's cheese cake per recommendation and it was delicious. Didn't realized the In house matcha ceremony was a separate thing so we also ordered 2 of that, hence we had so much tea!!! lol The lady who assisted us with the In house matcha ceremony was kinda and we definitely went through it quickly lol she didn't rush us but it was definitely a quick experience. Pouring all the ingredients together and mixing it and BAM DONE! lol we opted into oat milk as well. I've been to Isla Tea Lounge a few times now, and it's definitely a vibe. The space itself is well-decorated, the lighting is ambient, and it's definitely a community and work space. As for the service, I've done the matcha ceremony before and spoken with the owners, and everyone is super sweet. They were very helpful with the ceremony and made good recommendations for food. I really appreciate spaces like these, especially since they care a lot about their craft. Definitely recommend for post-dinner drinks or a study sesh. read more

Isla Tea Lounge is inside the building Sun Stereo Warehouse. You will not see a sign on the outside other than on the glass which lists what businesses are inside. I finally pulled over and someone else's review mentioned Sun Stereo. My rating is based solely on my drink. I ordered the caramel toffee matcha and it was delicious. $13 is pricey for a drink. ($12 plus $1 tax. Paid $14.80 with 15% tip. ) On a side note, someone was having a salad when I went to order and it looked good! Would definitely go back to try their food. read more

I've been a few times to this great space, but the last 2 times I've attended their r&b night in which they have a dj and are open later at night. The event is about 3 hours with chill r&b mixes and you can order from their menu and their late night menu. I've also done the ceremonial matcha and it's fun! The matcha is good too. My favorite is the strawberry matcha. The coconut matcha is good, more refreshing. Their yuzu cheesecake is 10/10!! Gyozas are yummy too with some greens underneath. The space is welcoming, calm perfect for a chill hangout/date. This 2nd time for dj night, the music was louder than last time. They host multiple different events weekly which creates a unique space for Fresno's community to join in. I'm also really stoked about their late hours for night owls like myself who crave a matcha or warm tea late at night when nothing is open. The order: I ordered the Tea Flight, you pick 3 tea flavors. I got the gemaicha , chai, and China black. Wonderful rich flavors from the tea leaves. I can tell they are pretty good quality tea. The aromatics from each tea were so fragrant and nice. Each with its very distinctive tea. They order comes with sugar cubes and honey as sweeteners. You add to your liking on the side. It comes with creamer as well. The display was beautiful. Each with its own teapot that's so dainty and beautiful. You also get one free refill for each tea. I love high tea but this Asian style is soo cute! In the Isla tea sampler set you can choose 3 teas; I chose sencha, Jasmine, and lavender. In the set, it comes with sugar cubes, honey, and creamer. Out of the 3 samplers, you get to pick which one you want as your solo pot o tea which I chose the lavender. The set also comes with 1 savory and 1 sweet nibbles. So I picked the charcuterie spread as my savory (crackers, 3 cheeses, nuts, grapes, Italian meats, olives, and Gouda chips), and yuzu-berry cheesecake as my sweet--big enough to share with 2 ppl. My friend picked a different savory and sweet so that we could share: tuna cucumber sandwich with side salad and açaí bowl. We were so full off of tea and food so I would say this place is worth every penny! The decor is pretty minimalistic and veers on Japanese style. We sat on the space that allowed us to sit low to the floor, and felt like a traditional tea experience We opted in for the isla experience, which offers 3 tea samples, one savory sandwich item that comes with a salad. (Bomb) at the end you are offered the choice of picking a larger tea pot to try as well as a dessert option The tea experience is offered at 33 dollars, and I felt like that it was worth it. Each tea tasted like a warm hug. I tried the lavender, peppermint and chai tea. I enjoyed the lavender so much I got it in the larger tea pot as well (you can choose any if you'd liked they have many options) The salad was delicious and I devoured the tuna sandwich, I wasn't sure what to expect but i got more than what I had initially thought I'd get which was a huge win. For dessert I had the Teagato which was a vanilla ice cream slowly topped with a tea of choice. It was delicious, Overall service was sweet, kind, attentive and informative. Isla is such a cool hidden spot located in the Sun Stereo Warehouse in Tower!! We got a strawberry cream matcha & banana matcha-- both of which were a solid 5/5!! You could taste the matcha but it isn't as strong as other spots that I've tried. Staff was wonderful and there's usually some type of event going on which is so cool! (events can be found on the Instagram) $12 each was a little pricey for the drinks, but the experience was really nice and I will be back! There are a lot of cheaper drinks and the food/dessert menu had a lot of great options as well. They're also open until ten (most days) and the lounge looks so pretty at night and it gets much more crowded later in the day. Definitely a great spot for a date/hangout/whatever. Located in the Sun Stereo Warehouse, you'll find this cute gem! With a cozy interior and plenty of seating, this is a perfect place to hangout with friends, study, or have some self-care time. They have books and games on some shelves that are free to utilize during your time there. They have an offering of 9 core teas, with some rotating seasonal special teas on a board near the register. You can get these teas to go, in a solo teapot, or if you can't decide what tea to get, you can get a flight! If you're a matcha lover like me, they also have matcha. My boyfriend and I got their tea flight and their matcha ceremony! If you get the tea flight, you get your choice of 3 teas in mini teapots. It comes with sugar cubes and milk. For our 3 teas, we opted for the jasmine, chai, and oolong (which was off-menu). All 3 were great! For the matcha ceremony, they guide you through how to make a matcha including sifting the matcha and whisking it to make the perfect foam. They ask if you want it the traditional way or as a latte, I opted for the latte. They asked my choice of milk (regular or non-dairy) and I chose non-dairy! Be wary though, the non-dairy option they provided was almond milk. They may have other non-dairy options, but if you have a nut allergy, be sure to ask if they have other non-dairy options. They also have a simple syrup that you can add for extra sweetness to the matcha. Overall, this place is sooooo cool and a great addition to the Fresno coffee/tea scene. They really don't have anywhere else like this in Fresno. The vibes are so welcoming, the staff is so friendly, and the tea is great! I'd definitely do their tea flight again. It pairs beautifully with their matcha-berry waffle; they should sell the matcha jam that's with it by the jar! They have tons of events; we've been to karaoke a few times and it's always fun. My sister-in-law did the matcha ceremony and she is experienced with matcha but I am not so if I ever do want to try matcha I would do that experience. This tea shop is located downtown. It shares a building with a few other cool spots. Upon walking into this serene beautiful building I noticed their stained glass. I was greeted immediately by a kind young woman I believed to be the owner. She was so sweet and informed us she didn't have menus yet. She showed us on her phone and all the different tea flavors they have. I chose my go to chai. It was really different but so good. It had a little stronger flavor but I loved it. To start off I have to say how HAPPY I am a place like this exists in Fresno- its the perfect spot to come with friends, hang out without needing to go a bar. For the studiers, its a perfect spot to study and work at (wifi with outlets anyone?) and is open until 10 PM. The interior is this vibey space paying homage to Japanese roots, even having a japanese sitting side along with a matcha ceremony. They have a full menu of teas, sweet and savory bites. I came with my brother and ordered the Isla experience, which comes with a 3 tea samplers (from which you can then choose a big pot), a savory bite and a sweet bite (all for $33, which is such a great price for what you order). The savory bite we ordered was the pesto mozzarella flatbread and it came with a sesame salad (hot and delicious), and the sweet was a special banana nut bread. In addition we got a teagato (think affogato but with tea) and it was THE BEST IDEA EVER. Please get the teagato and a pastry together and trust me you'll thank me later.
