One of the shadiest car dealerships you can ever visit. Everything seems great at first. they have this amazing deal online, car looks like it's in good condition and staff are friendly. Until you sit down, they give this whole spiel on how they make a little money on initial sales, and really only profit with referrals and repeat customers. And they're giving the best deal possible. when you finally look at the numbers, it's ludicrous what they're trying to do. I saw a car online for $29,000. But somehow with their magic with numbers, my finance went to $47,000. And I would have to give a down payment of $2200. I sat there and watched the guy constantly change the numbers and bring different sheets of paper with new quotes that only made the other ones look more criminal. And I sat there asking myself how can another person do this to someone. Ultimately, I wasted five hours there, but thankfully I was smart enough to phone A friend that owns a car dealership sent him the paperwork and he explained to me the people there should be arrested and the business shut down. If you don't believe me, look at the photos for yourself. Notice the price they had online and notice the multiple quotes and shenanigans they gave me. It's also worth noting that my trade-in is valued at 18K carmax so yes it does carry negative equity of -6k But even if you add 6K to 29K that's only 35k at most. Then with the loan aspect, you're looking at around 41k to 43k. AT MOST WITH NO DOWN PAY!!! Yet somehow they blew past that. Plus I still had to give a down payment of $2200 minimum. They advertised a hunday elantra 2018, 68k milescar for 9.552k. I went all the way there and they wanted to charge me 14k for the car... that was 69091k miles Claimed that they were charging me for destination expenses, whatever that is... over 1k! They claimed certification when hunday does not certify cars over 59k miles They wanted to low ball my trade in claiming that they need to fix the car to resale. ( I didn't care but that will come to play in the rest of their shady behavior). They asked if I was financing and I said I would like to see cash options as well. They had to "crunch" some numbers with the finance guy in the back, came back and put a $10k dealers fee on the advertised price for financing... Ten Thousand Dollars of dealer fee, so I asked how do you put almost 50% of the car value as fee? The guy fell silent. Ohh.. and guess what? So I spoke to soon. The Maserati I bought for 50k$s had a windshield washer/pump not working, which is an electrical problem. They did agree to fix this for free. The 2 front tires were so bald the front left tire blew on New Year's Day, so we bought whatever tire we could to get home. We bought the car Dec. 18th 2020. The spare was missing a pin so it couldn't be inflated. This caused roadside assistance to go back and get a special part to remove the pin from my regular tire and put into the donut and use that for the time being. So because we bought a used Michelin for $200, they ordered another new Michelin since the front right was about to pop too and could have led to a serious accident. The back tires are Pirellis with about half there life span left and it's a AWD car. All the tires need to have the same tread to avoid serious damage to the drivetrain etc., and even losing control in snow and causing an accident. So the best the manager agreed to, was a $200 check for the tire THEY ordered, which we weren't taking. So we ended up going directly to a Maserati dealership. They fixed the tires for $770. I.A.M. got me a free alignment though. So -$200, that's $550 so far they should have paid. Turns out all the brakes are shot, which we took pictures of. That's a 3k$ repair. Now we're at $3,550.00 Keep in mind this car passed inspection apparently the same month I bought it. They don't do inspections. Just good friends with whoever does them I guess...With the details provided this car never could have passed inspection..legally. Also beware of the shiny black spray on the sides of the tires. They tricked us and this is far from a first car, so I can't imagine how easy it would be for them to fool other people. It turns out according to Maserati, that two pieces that go in the front of the car are shot. This caused the front tires to go bald. Add another $500, which is probably a low ball. These pieces I believe were control arms and are under warranty at least though, but still besides the point. Luckily I bought a bumper to bumper warranty and can go directly to Maserati for service. We have a family member that is a mechanic who works on Ferrari's. He didn't come for the sale or anything, but if it can happen to us it can happen to anyone. Get any car from here inspected from a 3rd party that you trust before buying any car here. Especially during these tough times I don't want to see this happen to anyone. In conclusion I gave a 2 star instead of 1 because the car was beautiful and I'm happy I owned it. Also the service department did try and fix everything they could, (the brakes were never mentioned though and we found out later) but the way it was sold was unacceptable. Also the manager agreed after trying to only pay $150 first, to pay for a tire THEY ordered since we wouldn't take it. That tire never should have even been ordered though. Even though that really just covered a tire we bought that never should have been bought either! This is obviously because a car that just passed inspection that are being sold for a high price should not have bald tires on it! So I think that was dealt with poorly. They wanted to save as much money as possible. Pirelli tires cost more. Maserati brakes cost even more obviously. read more

When they came back with the numbers on an iPad there was, and no exaggeration, 9 THOUSAND dollars in added fees on top of their price.The price jumped to 24k, before taxes. A 1-3 Thousand fee charge is expected from these used car dealerships, but 9k is an exorbitant number. I was bewildered. This is a straight up SCAM. They should be out of business for the amount of false advertising that goes on here. Part of their "fees" is a forced warrantee Don't want a warrantee? Too bad. It "is already on the car". When telling the salesman, John, how this was very unfair to make us drive 2 hours, after confirming the price. He condescendingly told me that it was obvious the price could not be that low, and any buyer should know this. He explicitly stated that they mark the price low to attract buyers. He would not reduce more than 500 USD, an insulting counter offer after a 9,000 price spike. I told him I came in to buy the car at 15k as advertised, not a 24k car, to which he replied "maybe you shouldn't be looking at BMWs". I visited ISLAND AUTO MALL with the intention of checking out one of their AUDI listed online. I called in advance and confirmed the car was there and visited while i was running some errands nearby. Their premises are nice, and well located right on Sunrise highway. They had a lot full of nice looking cars. The one i was looking for was outside. I was able to drive it. Now then when i went for the numbers... well that's where things went wrong. the drive out price of the car was about 7k more than advertised, Over 15% more than the advertised price. This, mind you, without counting NY tax. One of the biggest offenders was their "CERTIFICATION FEE" which they insisted was "ALREADY DONE", so then "WHY IS IT NOT ALREADY PART OF THE SALES PRICE?". "WELL WE CANT LURE PEOPLE IN WITH HIGH PRICES..." Yep, then their PREP FEE was up there as well. Something that's basically the cost of doing business.
