This bar has been here for quite a while...its vintage and i like it. it could be considered the ultimate hangout spot! It has an island design/theme you don't typically see and if you do it isn't as detailed as what you look at here. With affordable food, a laid-back vibe, and friendly service, it's no wonder everyone loves to chill here. Menu prices are under $10 ....yes you heard me. This made me wonder, BUT the food that came out was actually delicious. The patty melt was awesome. The bartender Pam was very friendly and welcoming. She stated she knows who ALL her patrons are. Solid place. The tacos come in 3's and huh can't mix and match. Loved their fish tacos and their guac burger and tots were nice and crispy. The burger wasn't huge but was definitely satisfying. The venue is good for large groups as I did not see any tables that would seat more than 3 people but I suppose you could push a couple tables together. From memory, I only saw 3 bar tables and bar seating. The bartender was friendly and attentive and the patrons looked like they were all locals. I'd come back! read more

This place is so good. We got pastrami and Philly cheese steak sandwiches for $10 each! The food was great and so reasonably priced! Try the cowboy hot dog! The cook also took orders for our food and made sure that everything was just what we wanted. We also loved the ambiance, with shale floors and a nice bar. The music was also just right. Adding to my review: stopped back in for a second time because this place is so great. Bartenders recommended the tacos, and I understand why. Opted for the carne asada tacos, perfection. Juan (the cook) is out of this world. The man knows what he is doing. The pizza was so good I got one to go for dinner later. This time tried the Hawaiian pizza, just as good as the spicy pizza. Tony the bartender made conversation easy, and appreciated the stop back in. I hold true to my 5 stars, hell I would give it 6 if I could! Again, I highly recommend. This place is a bit shady on the outside and you need to be buzzed in. Everyone is so friendly and there's a bartender who deserves an award for how hard she works. The chef was great at accommodating vegan options for their salad. The pizza oven is off in the summer months though. It's a great locals spot and a welcome break from the tourist traps. My long island ice tea was $8 which is ridiculously cheap and we loved the food. Well priced, delicious and friendly is all that we could have asked for! read more

We ended up here bc the restaurant I originally found was closed even though it said open we drove around and this place looked good enough from the outside almost cute, was not expecting a dive bar but very friendly and welcoming inside very clean restrooms. The best burger I've had in a long time everything was perfect crispiness and flavor: fries, bacon. The veggies were fresh and it was a very tall burger. After being disappointed by the first dive bar I went to.. I found Island.. walked in to being totally disappointed as it is no longer a Steelers bar. I always get a drink before leaving and as soon as I sat down Archer was there to greet me and get my drink order. He was so very kind giving me all the details of the bar and how it runs. The food is waaaaaay better than you'd expect. Island has some of the best bar food in Vegas. Not sudo high-end, gastro-pub, hipster stuff, but solid bar food served on paper plates and in plastic baskets. Taco, pizza, nachos, etc. Service is a 10, tons of TVs, internet juke, cheap prices... OH MAN! This place was really fun. I came during karaoke night, and it is a really non-judgmental, laid-back karaoke scene here. We kicked off our experience with a nice pitcher of my NEW, old stand-by Hamms. After a few glasses, my friend decides he wants me to get up there and sing. Even though my voice was jacked up from laughing my a*s off all night! But he begged, so I decided to give the best rendition of Ginuwine's "Pony" I could muster. They LOVED it, surprisingly! I had two guys ask me to go up and sing again. And they loved my cheesy dance moves that I had thrown in to mask my utter embarrassment. Who would have thunk it, huh? While there, some crazy, super drunk guy accused the bartender of taking his leather jacket. Mind you, she's like 5'2, small and seemed really nice. The dude flipped out and punched one of the game machine screens!! Luckily, two regulars quickly stepped in to subdue him and take him out. They have a good selection of tap beers, some pool tables and some slot machines (in the bar and a few stand alone). They had a small menu of some bar snacks, like egg rolls. I went here with my out of town guests to redeem a match play deal advertised on the bar's Web site. It's a typical neighborhood poker bar with a tropical theme (love the small waterfall) and tiki decor. Any place that offers a match play is a winner in my book, though we didn't try the food. The bartender offered to serve the Blue Moon with orange juice, which is also a winner. This is a Steelers bar, and as such, promos and prizes are offered during all games. read more
