Keep forgetting about this place but recently have found ourselves frequenting weekly. Like the discount once you spend enough it will automatically let you know you have built up enough points for a discount. Love their Acai bowl. Even on a chilly day, I make sure I dress warm and order their 16 oz Nutty surfer cuz it's chock full of deliciousness. Whole banana sliced thin. Cashews. House granola is bomb. (Sell in 1/2 or whole pound bags too). Pumpkin seeds. Protein blend over Acai. Asked for agave instead of honey. Healthy breakfast bliss...hubby gets the 16 oz pipeline with a slightly tart Acai base topped with lots of berries and shaved coconut. Love their wellness shots with I believe lemon, cayenne, turmeric and one other ingredient maybe orange juice. Immune boost $3.50 I can't live without. I noticed I haven't been sick as much ever since coming here weekly. Hubby likes his 24 oz Kraken smoothie. Chock full of goodies drinks like a meal. Love the pumpkin seeds infused throughout for a nutty flavor. My other fav is their cold pressed juices. I have a cold pressed juicer but it takes a lot of effort to buy all the ingredients and when I think about all the prep and clean up it's easier to just come here. Grateful to have found this gem in Monroe! It's a good option to have when returning home from Chelan/Leavenworth/Stevens Pass area. Their portions are good for what you pay for. The fish tastes fresh and if I recall, I heard it's brought in fresh regularly. Their açaí bowls are also really good, but I wish there were more toppings included. The açaí and toppings ratio seemed a little unbalanced, otherwise it was still good. We've returned 3x already and will continue to visit when in the area. Mahalo! read more

Stopped by Island Blends Açaí & Poke again after another day of boarding. This time I tried the "locals only," an Ahi Tuna, sesame-forward poke, that's relatively mild in flavors, so the focus is on the tuna. I paired that with the cucumber kimchi and the seaweed salad. Felt like all 3 things, with the brown rice, made for a really good, diverse mixture of flavors and textures. As far as poke with sides go, this is some of the best that I've had, both here in Washington and elsewhere (Hawaii included). In addition to the poke, I also got the "Rise & Shine" smoothie. Solid. It's a nice dessert/protein shake with a coffee/vanilla/peanut butter flavor profile. One of the things that I really appreciate about island blends is that it appears that everything is both gluten free and dairy free, so it accommodates pretty much all diets/allergies, except for maybe nuts. They took the time to walk me through the menu and made me feel right at home. What really stood out was their incredible customer service. Four or five behind the counter might as well be working in a munitions factory, they are serious, somber .. or depressed? Something's amiss in the H R Dept. I kinda feel ripped off. 21 bucks for 2 scoops of tuna poke...I'll give it a shot. The poke was good, but seemed to lack a flavor. Maybe some soy or something along the salt seasoning. 2 scoops of the tuna poke, 1 scoop of rice, 1 scoop of Mac (which was the highlight for me) and 1 scoop of seaweed salad. The Mac was like a tuna Mac salad and nailed with a light amount of mayo. Wifey usually gets the seaweed salad as I'm not a fan of it...ever. She wasn't too thrilled by the salad. We ordered half rice and half salad because they were out of brown rice. Which sucks cause I like rice with my poke. The salad was just spinach thrown in the mix...no dressing. The acai Nutty Budda bowl was lacking as well. They line the bowl with the peanut butter...barely. Maybe I'm spoiled by Emerald Smoothie at the mall when they put a good size dollop of peanut butter in their bowls. A friend told me about this new restaurant location that has sprouted from a food truck. We chose to eat at Island Blends because we find Hawai'ian food to be lite and refreshing. We got two poke bowls and two açaí bowls. One poke bowl was the traditional ahi tuna with cucumber kimchi and the macaroni salad atop mixed greens. The other poke bowl was two-scoops, one spicy ahi and one salmon with cucumber kimchi and squid salad also atop mixed greens. We had a "Keep It Clean Brah" and a "Nutty Butta" açaí bowls. Everything is delicious and the owner even came to our table to check on us. Granted this was day 2 of their store front being open so I think all hands were on deck to help as needed. We entered then a wave of people came. Despite that, everything came out fast. Our food was fresh and the owner told they get shipments straight from the Big Island to keep everything fresh. The restaurant is across from Tye Lake which would make for great take out. The restaurant is rather small with one picnic style table for a larger party of about six, but most tables (about 4 other tables) are a small round table top with 2 chairs. Love the ambiance here. Service is great as well. As far as the food goes, love the menu! I actually love the simplicity of the poke here because it really highlights how fresh the fish is and I don't feel overwhelmed trying to figure out what to get. You pick what poke you want, rice or salad for a base, and your sides. For sides, you get to choose between Mac salad, kimchi cucumber salad, seaweed salad, or squid salad. I have been going to the this place since they opened on this location in Monroe, the very 1st time we went the lady who helped us was super friendly and I even got a flower on my nutta butta bowl she said they have just opened a week ago that day, we loved it so much that since then we have gone every week. Last weekend it was labor day weekend and they were closed so we wanted Acai and I went today, a newbie was there and was the one who helped me. I asked for a Nutta Butta w/ banana, mango, granola and agave only and a Beach Bowl I asked the girl if the toppings where the same where she responded yes and I said ok then the 2nd one with everything. And when I get them the nutta butta only had banana & peanut butter and the other one had everything with agave. I returned them to her and explained she got them wrong, you can tell she got nervous and got a blonde girl that I've seen there a few times. I explained again what I ordered and the newbie goes "oh I didn't hear you say that" I just chuckle and the blonde girl said oh we can fix it and got them back to redo them. The next 5 mins were them talking and the newbie kept looking at me. Then another girl stepped in and was the one who finish them and repeat the toppings and add them, she was super friendly. A little feedback from a returning costumer and as a manager w/ over 20yrs of experience when you mess up an order you instead or trying to justify yourself you try to fix it for the customer and have the customer leave satisfied instead of a sour taste. What a cute little space. I work out in Monroe and am a huge sushi and Poke lover, so when a coworker told me about this plce I just had to try it. I had the Pele's Fire Bowl, it wasn't too spicy and had a wonderful blend of flavor. The squid salad paired with the seaweed salad was delicious. I got a double scoop and was blown away by the generous portions, definitely worth returning to, to try all the other menu items.
