I love that it is a combo with a boba place, this is always so fun to me. They are a pretty standard franchise location to me. Average customer service, fresh ingredients, they don't stand out as better or worse than other Just Poke locations. The servers here are a bit younger, but that doesn't really matter to me. They had great knowledge of gluten free items and were super helpful with that, even knowing to change gloves. I love coming here and building my own bowl! there is never much of a wait. I really like the food here. You can customize it and make it pretty healthy. There are a lot of options. The inside is bright and welcoming. There are a few small tables but not a lot of seating. I have never eaten in. I have always either ordered take out or gone in and ordered to go. The last time I went, several of the ingredients we ordered were not in our bowls. They are so inconsistent, it's maddening. Online orders are nearly always wrong, which I'd dock them for but I live close, so I usually go there just to be sure. Except their employees are either of the "have a great time" persuasion or of the "there is a worldwide edamame shortage so you only get seven beans! no more!" persuasion. I'm sure the owner is probably to blame for the stinginess, and it wouldn't rankle me so much, but some ingredients (like edamame, cucumber, etc) are so cheap that you think the employees would be told to dole out more of them. And why is it that two employees will give totally different portions of the exact same ingredient in the same day at different times? Pick a lane. Combine all of this with the weirdly aloof demeanor of the workers and it's just a bad time overall. Have frequented the Snohomish location which has great service. The Mill Creek one has very lackluster service and very stingy on everything. I'm allergic to a couple things and I wasn't allowed to substitute. Would not let me sub out the krab salad that I am allergic to for a scoop of edamame. That is so beyond cheap, I won't return. Why pay $18 and not be allowed to sub edamame for chemical laden fake krab? Edamame are probably 2-5 cents more per scoop. Just not returning. I've been coming to this Just Poke location for a long time... 5-ish years, and normally it's one of my favorite go-to spots. I know how good the food can be and how smooth the service usually is... which is why this visit was such a letdown. The second we walked in, the place smelled musty... like maybe there had been a backup or something, and it just hadn't been cleaned properly. It didn't smell fresh or food-safe. That alone set the tone. I should have just left. Oops. The store looked dirty too. Counters were messy... tables weren't wiped down... and there was just this general sense that nobody was really paying attention. It felt like the kind of shift where the owner wasn't there... and it showed. Staff were mostly standing around, not doing much, and didn't seem too interested in helping or even being there. When I ordered, I got my protein and the add-ins I always get, plus one extra. Pretty simple. But when I asked for my avocado to be smashed and mixed in... like I always do... she just stuck it on top, even though I specifically asked. Same story with the crab... I wanted an extra scoop and was willing to pay for it, but she wouldn't allow it. No explanation. It was like I was asking for something outrageous instead of just trying to enjoy a meal I've ordered dozens of times before. It was disappointing all around. I know what this location can be, and this wasn't it. I hope it was just a fluke... maybe an off day or a new crew... but it made me think twice about coming back. At the very least, someone needs to check in on that store and get things back to the standard that used to make it such a reliable, fresh, and welcoming place to eat. read more

On this particular day, I had $15 off my order, courtesy of the app, for my birthday, which is as generous of a birthday reward as I have ever encountered from ANY business! When we come here, we usually come in the evening, but I only had 3 days to use the $15 off code and almost forgot about it, so I ordered on the app on a weekday for pick-up for lunch for me and my partner. We grabbed lunch from here today. We came around 1:30 and there were only a couple of people in line so service was quick. They have a regular size (2 scoops of protein, $13.99) or large size (3 scoops of protein, $15.99) build your own bowl option or preset poke bowls for you to order. We both got the regular size. It comes with your choice of base, white rice, brown rice, mixed greens, or zoodles ($1 more). I got white rice and my fiancé opted for brown. I chose the spicy tuna and the Hawaiian ahi for my proteins. The spicy tuna was cubes of tuna tossed in a spicy sauce while the Hawaiian ahi was more of your traditional ahi poke (had onions and shoyu). For sauces, I got the citrus ponzu and Maui fire. The Maui fire packed a good amount of heat but was delicious. You can get as many mix ins and toppings here as you want which was nice. For mix ins I got cucumber, seaweed strips, and sweet onions. I also added avocado which was $1 more. For toppings I got crab, spicy crab, edamame, roasted corn, and masago. I also got all the crunchy toppings (tempura bits, crispy onion, furikake, togirashi, etc.). Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the roasted corn. I would have preferred just sweet corn since the roasted corn had a strong flavor that didn't really go well with the rest of the bowl (it tastes more like something you would expect in Mexican food). Overall I really enjoyed my poke bowl and was stuffed from the regular sized bowl. The only downsides were some of the rice was a bit mushy and the eco friendly bowls they use caused the rice and toppings to stick to it and have to be scraped off. read more

When I first came here, I had no idea this was some kind of chain. I still like it a lot though. It has everything I would want at a poke place. This weekend was my second time ordering from here and I already want to make another trip. You order your food in an assembly line where you pick your size, rice, protein(s), mixins, toppings, and seasoning. There's a good amount of choices, but maybe I'm a big eater cause the amount they give you for each mixin and topping seems kind of small. I asked for a bit more masago and they were willing to accommodate. So I think if you aren't picky and want bang for your buck, get every topping and stuff on it. In the end, it'll look pretty impressive. If poke isn't enough, they also have spam musubi that you can order which is nice, cause there aren't too many places up in this area that sells that. Honestly though, the portions for the poke surprisingly suits my stomach. I feel pretty satisfied even though the portion of toppings seem small. When poke is good, it's good. Boy was I excited when I realized there was a Just Poke location in Mill Creek, paired with a milk tea place as well! Though, I will say it was a little awkward upon entry because customers lined up to order milk tea were backed up to the door, plus customers waiting for their milk tea were hovering near the poke counter, so then it wasn't until a Just Poke employee asked if I wanted to order a bowl that I realized I wouldn't be cutting anyone by walking right up to the counter. Noted for next time. I went in - got the large bowl with salmon and both tuna options, and the employee asked if I wanted the seasoning trifecta to which I said sure. Added the spicy aioli and all of the mix-ins, including the $1 extra for half of an avocado. Also added all of the toppings plus the mac salad (also $1 extra). The employee was friendly and helpful, and commented that he loved when customers ordered all of the toppings because it gives him a chance to make the bowls look pretty. I love that :) Sprinkled on some crunchy toppings, and took the bowl home to enjoy for dinner. It was great! Updating to be more specific: The fish itself is okay-to-good; however, the serving size of the fish is relatively small. Once you start adding toppings the bowl, to get your monies worth, then the fist mostly gets lost in a sea of flavors - and that's good for some. For me, I would rather have very good, well-seasoned fish, that are the star of the show and have the ability to say "I just want fish, the marinade, and rice" and have the amount of fish increased to fill the bowl instead of being charged more for extra fish. At the end of the day, the poke is "okay," but gets lost in a sea of other flavors and if you don't add those toppings then you're paying a lot for a little fish. So in a vacuum, the poke could be better, more plentiful and/or less expensive. It's a 2-2.5 in terms of Poké. In terms of a healthy bowl of food, it's good. It's a good healthy option that is light, provides a variety of flavors and is quick. So it's a 3-4 in that aspect. read more

I like that they use compostable dishes altho the rice tends to stick. My only complaint is that they don't offer as many options as a competitor in Redmond, and it costs more.
