Food good, service good when no attitude is given. Definitely take your patience with you because they stay crowded and parking can get under your skin.

Grease pooling. Not what I ordered. Oxtails plus goat. Paid too much for mean lady. Sweet Spice from now. Done.

I asked for oxtails and goat. Have been to this place several times. The lady is rude and mean to female customers. I brought it right back after walking to my car. Hence, the argument started. She was on the phone when she took my order. I will not be back. Too many times@ 14$ Insane!!! Not the first time with this lady but my last. Good day.

If your in Savannaha and are looking for the best Caribbean food look no further. This spot has everything you need every time I'm in Savannah, I make it a point to get the oxtails. My wife enjoys there jerk chicken. They also have daily lunch specials that can't be beat!

Brown sauce chicken, rice n peas, and fried plantains. So good.

Ok, so first of all, this is some of the absolutely most-flavorful Jamaican food I've ever had in my entire life, the brown sauce chicken is just--wow. Perfectly seasoned, ample, supple, fried plantains, very good rice n peas, too. But that chicken: I want to go right back now and try the oxtails and the jerk chicken too. If you like Jamaican food but don't like spicy, btw, check out the brown sauce chicken here or at most Jamaican places because it rules and is not hot and spicy but not low on flavor at all, either. But that is only the half of it, quite literally: they are also a club and have dancing on weekends and it's fire. I was in there like at 7:30pm getting my take-away and their DJ dropped a Stush track into a Michael Jackson remix and that's all I needed to know: these people KNOW their music. I mean to bring in Stush like that, tho. The doorman in his white tux reminds me of a Haitian boker but everyone here is super-nice, too. And despite what someone else said, it's not a bad neighborhood, either but you DO have to watch out for traffic because this place is super-popular as is another place down the way and Montgomery Street is crazy anyways so it's a bit like MarioKart trying to pull in and pull back out on the street, ok? But the food. Wow. Some of the best Jamaican food ever. Seriously. They know what's up.

    Oxtail

I ordered oxtail & received a pool of grease. Nothing looks appealing, plaintains look like they came out the freezer section of grocery store not to mention the food was bland w no flavor. Never going back. I'll stick to "good to go"or "Jamaica taste"This review is coming from a real Jamaican born & raised .

Awesome, quick, and friendly! I enjoyed the conversation and my meal was amazing.. savory and scrumptious! I got the brown stew chicken. It was so flavorful. Do yourself a favor, GO VISIT! You'll love it!

    Chicken scraps with jerk sauce

I decided to give Island Breeze a chance after seeing the reviews here on Yelp. However, this place doesn't live up to any of the expectations mentioned in these reviews. I ordered some jerk chicken, and to my surprise there were only chicken scraps with jerk sauce: the chicken leg was chopped up and only the top portion of the leg made it to my plate. Same with the chicken tight, the bone without any meat. See pictures. SMH. Save your $$ and stay away from this place. They choose not to serve a meal for the customer's enjoyment, but rather chose (knowing) to serve a cheap meal - full of chicken scraps and bones dressed up with jerk sauce. Huge huge DISAPPOINTMENT I'm not going back to this place again.

Island Breeze has good Caribbean food and atmosphere. Lots of food and drink options. The food taste great, food portions are good, and the prices are fair. Customer Service was great.

Excellent food, price is high, just like any other Caribbean restaurant. It's not in the best area, but it's worth it.

Come here two Saturday's in a row because it was so good! Was a bit deceived with the name, lol…read more I'm Haitian and was hoping it was Haitian food, but this Caribbean/Southern spot hits the spot. The staff here is so sweet! They really help with making decisions and even offer samples if you're indecisive(like me). They wear masks when packaging food and have an outdoor seating area. Both times I got my food to go, and was in and out pretty quickly. The homemade tropical punch is so good! If ordering a "made to order" menu item, expect to wait about 15 minutes. The curry shrimp is one of those items and I was not disappointed. My friend also got curry goat and the pork chop and both were SO GOOD! As always, I do wish they have more meat, but this is something I'm used to from Caribbean restaurants. BUT- they have all things on the menu when I went in, something that doesn't always happen at the Caribbean joints I'm used to. This is the second Caribbean spot I've tried in the Savannah area, and this is tops!

The BBQ Jerk Ribs, the Brown Chicken Stew, Jerk Chicken, and Lamb Stew have all been excellent. Their collard greens are a reason to go back all their own. This is definitely a takeout spot, with two table tops and a small waiting area and front counter. However, this small place packs a big punch! They have a pretty extensive menu, which includes of variety of both jerk and Curry options as well as oxtails. They also have patties and several desserts. I ended up ordering the combo curry goat and oxtail platter with rice and peas, plantains and then a beef Patty and a slice of Red Velvet cake. I thought the food was really well done, well, seasoned, and excellent in terms of quality and quality. The patties were equally authentic and had the adequate amount of meat filling you would want. The only criticism was the red velvet, which I didn't think was legitimate Red Velvet, but rather red cake mix with a cream cheese icing. That being said, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't authentic Red Velvet. Service was also prompt and helpful with no more than a 7 to 8 minute weight from start to finish. Overall, I would definitely rate this as one of the better restaurants I have had a chance to enjoy in Savannah so far. Looking forward to another visit!
