Jerk chicken with bean-rice, collard greens and Mac
    Amanda W.

Whole in the wall place with super fast service. Phenomenal collard greens - perhaps the best I've ever had. Mac and cheese and the rice where all right and could use a bit more flavor or salt. Chicken was cooked perfectly with very good jerk flavor. Tangy, lots of spices, and some sweetness for the perfect bite. Prices are not the best. Overall I would comeback because of how fast this meal was done.

This restaurant has relocated from its former location at the Savannah Mall. The food continues to taste delicious, with a large selection of their popular items such as jerk chicken and apple smoked wings available for instant enjoyment. Some menu selection are cooked to order and take approximately twenty minutes to prepare. During my several visits to this new location, I have been more than satisfied with the service and taste of the food. Be sure to drop by if you are in the area and desire some outstanding cuisine. Highly recommended.

Curried Chicken on rice with collard greens and stewed green beans

My husband and I don't live nearby but had heard great things about Kreole Kitchen from his work colleagues. The man at the counter told us we were about to experience some real food and boy was he right! My husband got the curry shrimp with collard greens and green beans and I got the curry chicken with candied yams and Mac and cheese. It was all fantastic, so good that we cleaned the plates! We live out in Pooler but we will absolutely be back.

Oxtails, Rice &Peas, Mac & Cheese, Cabbage, Dinner Roll & Ting Soda

We usually pass this place on the way home and thought that we'd stop in to see what they had to offer. Prior to my visit, I checked out the menu online and my mouth watered after discovering this place served Oxtails. That was my main reason for visiting. Upon entry, I noticed that the place was very bright, clean, and spacious. The staff was very helpful and courteous and patiently answered all of our questions about the dishes offered. I was a little disappointed to find out that their fryer wasn't working because Hubby really wanted to try out their fish and wings. The only problem I had with the menu was in my opinion, the oxtail dinner was overpriced at $23.00 for a plate of oxtails. In my opinion, that is little too expensive considering you only get 4 oxtails in your dinner (I would have been happy with 5). So instead of spending close to $45.00 for two entrees, I decided we would both try my oxtails and Hubby opted for beef stew, white rice, yams, and vegetable medley. With my oxtails, I ordered peas & rice, mac & cheese, and cabbage. To wash it down, he ordered an Island punch and I was pleased to see they sold "Ting" a grapefruit soda from the West Indies. I had never seen it in Savannah since moving from NYC. I didn't realize how much I missed it! The food was delicious and very tasty. Hubby said the beef stew was delicious and the oxtails were OK (I'm biased... I like mine better! LOL). All in all, I really enjoyed my dinner. We'll definitely visit again, as I'm eager to try the other items on the menu (I definitely want to try their wings!). I do recommend you visit and try the cuisine, as they have something to suit any taste you may have.

this restaurant is bigger than I thought. surprise surprise. this seems to be the second location in savannah so it must be good. kreole kitchen is great from what I see so far. great location and the atmosphere looks Caribbean kreole ish. service is slow so call your order in ahead of time. salmon patty is good. everything is season to perfection and good. mac and cheese isn't that good. fries need seasoning. turkey wings gravy is tasty and got that Caribbean tasty. atmosphere is cool running vibe.

What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff. The warm vibes made the wait fly by--we even got to chat with some of the folks working there. The food? Absolutely delicious. The seafood sauce was bursting with flavor, and the oxtails were tender and perfectly seasoned. I was bummed they were out of the turkey wings, but that just gives me a reason to come back. Can't wait for round two!

The HVAC unit drips a bit, we changed seats a few times to avoid it. The cornbread loaf is yummy. Great flavors and a little crispy. I'd love to see something down with the cornbread (I'm sure there's something on the menu), the flavors would go well with a main dish! I ordered the southern Seoul blt and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. Both had so much flavor! I will say, the meal was very heavy, so plan accordingly. My lavender gin cocktail wasn't my favorite, there was too much lavender in it - and that mixed with the heavy meal was too much on my stomach. The shrimp and grits were so good! Definitely one of the best in the city, there's only one other that my husband and I think is on par with this one. His old fashioned was pretty good as well. We'd definitely come back, the food is so good and the prices are fair. This is a great addition to the area, bringing in some different flavors.

My wife actually said the wild boar was the best steak she has ever had, which shocked me because we have eaten some very good steaks over the years. They also brought us a complimentary bowl of turtle soup, which was something I never expected to try, and it was fantastic. What really separates Alligator Soul, though, is the entire experience.
