Love this place I was visiting from out of town and really wanted a seafood boil place all the places that I found didn't have a five out of five review on yelp when I found this place I went. There isn't much seating inside but food was made fresh order there was a little bit of weight but when you're getting fresh food, it's gonna be that way they're really nice and friendly food was 10 out of 10 only thing that I wish Was maybe I ended up getting the sampler bucket and I don't like shrimp or sausage. I just wanted the snow crabs and there wasn't just like a snow crab bucket so they offered to swap out shrimp and sausages for more potatoes and corn, which is great but it would've been nice if I could've got an extra cluster. Passing through Savannah on a road trip. Having lived in Charleston a few years, I knew we needed to sample the local fare and Shree's did not disappoint. We ordered two seafood boils and two wing meals. Pros: The food was made fresh and everything was delicious: the shrimp were flavorful and sides were plentiful in the boils. Miss Shree included a tub of shrimp and grits as a gift; I could have eaten it all myself! Huge amount of food. Cons: None. The wings were a little small, but according to the eaters they were delicious as well, and we had enough food to share all around. The building was a little hard to locate at dusk due to the fact it was not well-lit on the outside. Some outside lights spotlighting the front could help. I was traveling home to Florida and stopped in to get something good to eat so of course I yelped seafood and this spot had high ratings. Upon arrival I didn't realize it was a take-out spot only. I was as hoping to sit down for a quick meal then hit the road before too late. The lady at the register was warm in welcoming me and very pleasant throughout my visit. I was introduced to the owners which was an added bonus. If I had more time I wouldn't have mind the lengthy time it took to prepare the meal. I waited for quite some time to complete the order which only required the 5 piece lemon pepper wings. Almost an hour wait. I had to ask them to pull them so that I can eat in the car quickly then hit the road. All of the flavors were there (fish, seafood dressing and greens) but the wings needed more time in the fryer (one fryer was broken, on a Sunday, with specials going on) to get the job done. A back up plan is vital to running a business. The owners were amazing! Sweet, willing to offer additional food items as a kind gesture and just plain good people. Next time (I'm open to another visit, the food is that good), I will definitely be sure to have time and patience to see the process through. On another note... I've eaten at lobster shacks and hole-in-the wall spots serving up good food. I believe that we can do better on the decorum. At the very least the entry/waiting area should be well organized and comfortable for customers to feel good while waiting. Panels of the ceiling falling down, fans blowing, and clutter around the soda machines just won't cut it. We can do better and I'm saying this with the utmost respect and love for this family business. Absolutely awesome spot with the world's nicest people. As tourists, we went HAM and over-ordered (had leftovers for days), but no regrets on that front. We tried: -crab; -fried catfish fillets; -fried flounder, which were more like nuggets; -baked turkey wing; -seafood dressing (had never heard of that; it's basically thanksgiving stuffing but with seafood); -mac and cheese; and -salmon croquettes. The fish is made to order so it's unbelievably fresh and, to me, was the standout of the meal (especially the flounder). Everything was awesome, though. And have to emphasize it again -- the people who work there are wonderful. Go if you're ever in Savannah. It's about ten minutes outside of town but well, well worth it. We'll be back! read more
