The train trips themselves are unbelievable with very knowledgeable and gracious crew, great natural sights along the way, and fantastic food in the main car, and snacks, and drinks in the club car. Wine pairing was also offered for the lunch meals. Earl got us an all day tour of Canyonlands and Arches National Parks through NAVTEC Expeditions in Moab and this company was excellent with pickup and drop-off at the hotel, lunch provided, and a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide who was really an excellent driver when there was barely a road to go over in some places. she was also able to circumvent the long entry line at Arches by getting into the park by a back route so that we could also see dinosaurs tracks, but not miss any of the salient sights at either park. Our train excursion was a once in a lifetime experience (a bucket list item for anyone) that went so smoothly thanks to Earl.

We created a customized trip, with 3…read moreislands (Oahu, Big Is, Kauai) and chose our excursions for each island with one excursion each day, and a free day at the end on each island to explore, or just relax at the beach. The excursions we chose were pretty much exactly as advertised online. The only excursion we didn't love was the Catamaran Sandbar Snorkeling, Paddleboard, and Kayaking on Oahu - the boat had no outdoor spaces, and all seating was picnic table style, and pretty crowded - this would be great for families with kids, but it wasn't really relaxing, and not the greatest for snorkeling. The Crew and live entertainment were great though. Highly recommend Diamond Head hike, and Manoa Falls hike on Oahu; Volcano E-bike tour, and Sunset Cruise to Kealakekua Bay on Big Is; and Wailua River Kayak and Rainforest Waterfall hike, and Backcountry Tubing on Kauai - these were all unforgettable experiences! We rented a car for one day on Oahu for our 'free day' and drove up to the North Shore - completely different vibe than Waikiki, and we loved it! Lots of food trucks, shopping, and the ocean views were spectacular - and completely different from Waikiki Beach area. All of the islands are magical, but Kauai was our favorite.

Kara at Hawaii Aloha Travel did a fantastic job for us. Everything about our 16 day 4 island trip went like clock work. The flights all worked out well, the rental car process was painless, and all of hotel/resort accommodations met or exceeded our expectations. One concern that I had going into the trip was whether there would be a lot of unplanned out of pocket expenses and I very pleased to say that all of the Resort and parking fees changed at each resort was exactly what Kara said to expect. We will be going back to Hawaii to spend more time at our favorite two islands of Kauai and the Big Island and with out question we will be reaching out to Kara at Hawaii Aloha Travel when we do. April took care of everything from helping take care of flights, rental cars, and fun activities. She not only got us a great deal with one of the hotels that included a helicopter tour and a bus tour taking us to the Waimea Canon and Fern Grotto, but she was also able to upgrade our room to ocean view and get us complimentary breakfast each morning! When we first arrived at our hotel we were greeted with champagne, cake and a letter from April! She also curated a beautiful itinerary for us that we could reference throughout the trip so there was very little thinking required once we got there!! She was extremely helpful in getting us and our families the rooms we wanted. She also took care of all the extra stuff we needed for our wedding weekend, including pool cabanas reservations, arranging for the hotel to store our wedding cakes, and organizing Sunday brunch! I actually saved money by booking through them compared to online, because they fully explained the differences in tours/tiers and picked the cheapest ones that satisfied our criteria. It was clear that they knew what they were talking about. Ideally, you should call Shaka before you get to Hawaii and plan your vacation early... but we didn't. Luckily, we stopped by in person and Shaka Tours saved our vacation. They planned our whole itinerary, got us tickets to things that looked closed, and advised us against packages that we came in considering. It actually felt like a tourist stop itself, because they explained the local geography and customs using google maps and videos, and suggested can't-miss, free, no-reservation needed stuff like the Diamond Head Hike. They were easy to reach by text/call at any time, even when we woke up very early because we wanted to make the most of the day. The tours they did book for us were all great with friendly guides. I can't recommend them enough!

On the kauai tour the amount of mistakes regarding Hawaiian history was ridiculous. First of all there was no annex but rather a take over initiative by the USA and British plantation owners. The kauai tour claims that the Hawaiian people voted by 93% to annex with USA. Lies! They stated the queen agreed to the annex with USA .The Queen did not leave her monarchy amicably. No....rather she stepped aside involuntary for the good of the Hawaiian people and to prevent further blood shed. Yes Kauai and all of the Hawaiian islands are absolutely beautiful but they the Hawaiian people should charge us, the United States of America rent for any purchased land acquired. Sadly I saw the vast difference in the way the Hawaiian people live today and the way foreigners live on acquired land in Hawaii. No Hawaiian should have to pay for health care or education. I'm grateful that the Hawaiian people invite us to visit their beautiful islands though I'm doubley mad at the USA for basically ruining the landscape there. No to Shaka dummies Guides! Our group of 8 people rented a beach front house $450/ night for a friend's wedding through vrbo which is managed by hawaiibeachhomes company. When I called to file a complaint their excuses were 1. The cleaners must have been rushing because we had guests prior to your stay. 2. If you're unhappy you can leave and we'll refund you your money 100%. 3. We never had any complaints but your party. 4. You have one of the cheaper stay so the filth is excepted. 5. Inaccurate listing of the beach front home. One of the bedroom is supposed to have beach front view with double doors. Heck the bushes has overgrown and the view was obstructed. Their response was do you want me to tell the owner to cut the bushes down? My reply Either cut it back or update your listing! At this point I was very upset and unhappy with this company. Cheaper stay or not we deserve a clean house! The house was filthy! List of filthiness 1. Dust under beds, inside closets, back and side of night stands. 2. White walls are brown and black marks 3. Stain beddings. 4. Mildew and large yellow stains on mattress that was covered up by bed protectors. 5. Mildew shower liners and curtains. 6. Broken glass bottles on patio. 7. Greasy kitchen cabinets. This was my experience with this company at the beach house. The house was beautiful but the upkeep and maintenance was very poor! They did refund us $300 for cleaning fee.
