I was in Key West on a day trip with some friends and we decided to wrap up our evening here before heading back home. The place was pretty busy, so we got lucky to find a few seats at the end of the bar. The bartenders are pretty attentive given the number of guests they were serving. Once I was seated, the bartender came to take my drink order pretty quickly, and upon realizing they had happy hour until 6:30pm, decided to indulge in that menu. For drinks, I enjoyed a few of their premade piña colada's. I usually try to stay away from the premade drinks (especially frozen), due to quality, but theirs were pretty good, and I could actually taste the rum. I also ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls and the chicken quesadillas which both were tasty. The egg rolls hands down were a 10 out of 10. The quesadilla could've used a bit more seasoning, but no complaints for the price, and the fact that they don't charge for sour cream or pico. read more

Cute place, the drinks were good but for some reason the bartender was an absolute jerk. It was pouring rain--to the point of the streets flooding so the bar wasn't even busy. I was by myself until my boyfriend joined me. We bought merch, had a few drinks each and the bartender couldn't have been more put off by my gratuity. I am used to tipping $1 per drink. That's what I did. Is that wrong? He threw it back in my face. I have never had a bartender do that. I am in the service industry myself-- beauty industry. There are times I slave over someone for an hour and don't receive a tip at all. It is not ideal however, I would never act the way he did. Tried out Island Dogs for breakfast and it was a good choice. The bartender was friendly and took care of us. The Breakfast Club Sandwich was something different so had to try that and it was great. Loved the Tater Tots as the side we sat at the bar but there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well. read more

Island Dog is a nice covered outdoor little eatery. With it not being on the Main Street allowed you to be away from the crowd so you can enjoy your time there. The food is just ok as it wasn't anything to right home about and for the name having Dog in it making you think its a hot dog place, they only had one hotdog on the menu as most of it seemed to be bar food. Our waitress seemed to be high and spaced out as she came back several time asking us what we ordered but when the food came the food was completely wrong. Super cute place in Ley West! The food was great. We just had bar snacks but saw plenty of meals going out and everything looked great. They have an actual ABC store located to the side of the restaurant, if you need more alcohol. There's plenty of that in Key West The service was super fast, even though they were pretty packed. Our bartender was really fun and interacted with us the whole time. If you love dogs, you have to check out the merchandise. They have the cutest t shirts and stickers. The hostess/waitress with a bob at this location was extremely rude. As my wife and I were walking front road we sat down briefly on the sidewalk seating. Due to my wife's medical issues she often needs breaks. We were asked by the host if we were sitting for 2 to eat. I said "No just taking a break if that's alright." and she responded with "I don't know it's a restaurant what do you think." and rolled her eyes. If she had just said "No sorry this is our restaurant seating, would you mind finding somewhere else to go?" that would have been perfectly sufficient. Instead she had to go out of her way to be rude. When I asked for a manager she said "We don't have one." Right because businesses work like that... Anyways we did not dine, I cannot comment on the food or any of the other great workers I'm sure they have but having her as your front person/people facing employees doesn't seem great for business. She could have just been having a bad day but that's no way to speak to anyone. read more

We were looking for a place to watch football that's dog friendly. We found this place on Yelp and we were excited to try it out as it seemed perfect. We walked across town as it was a bit farther, but were determined to try it out with our pup. We stood outside the business a few minutes waiting for the hostess to seat us but no one ever showed up. There were over a dozen empty tables and 4 servers standing at the bar staring at us so we walked inside to find a table. Immediately a man started yelling at us from the back. He charged at us yelling that we can't just sit down and have to wait for hostess. We tried to explain we waited and no one is out there and he yelled at us to go back out. We were in shock. Thankfully a young server came to help us to a table. My husband was infuriated as this could have been easily avoided. We were embarrassed and the server looked at us like he was also embarrassed. We ordered beers and decided to leave and not spend hours eating lunch, appetizers and having drinks during the afternoon games like we planned. Customer service was appalling rude. This time we were starving and ordered conch chowder, Philly egg rolls, conch fritters, lobster pizza and baja tacos. (Yes, we had to go boxes, lol!) The conch chowder is the white base, but he still loved it. The egg rolls are really good and packed full of meat, took half home. Conch fritters are very good and so is the dipping sauce. The baja tacos were devoured quickly, they are delish! (Last time we had their nachos, the favorite of all their dishes, so far, but wanted to try more stuff. When we arrived, we saw several nice tables outside facing the street, where one can sit down with your pooch by your side and watch people go by as you eat your food. We ordered the nachos. At first I liked the look...it had good size and it had lots of nice fresh shredded lettuce on top, which made it look very fresh. The plate itself was a bit dry, not enough cheese to make the nachos taste cheesy and gooey. The overall dish was average to below average.
