The ambience is inviting. It's lively and comfortable. The food is amazing. I always get oysters and the catch of the day. The cocktails are my favorite though! Only complaint is that it can get fairly loud in there sometimes but tolerable. read more

So impressed! A local recommended My New Joint. It's on top of Square Grouper, which had a long wait for dinner. Not sure why even eat there when My New Joint has such great food, and atmosphere, and no wait list!! We came Saturday night, and there was live music. Loved it! Loved the decor, the artwork, the setup, the jellyfish, and the joint-themed pieces.. so entertaining just looking around the room! The service was fantastic, so was the drinks, and food. I loved the HOT BOX martini; Effen cucumber vodka with grapefruit and Jalapeño, the perfect amount of kick! My husband got a Manhattan with a delicious piece of bacon in it. For dinner we got: 1. Gumbo soup bowl was delicious 2. Mac N cheese was boring.. our least favorite item, just seemed bland like it needed a sharper stronger cheese. But it looks pretty. 3. Roasted Radishes with goat cheese was the BEST!! I've never seen radishes get their own appetizer, it's usually just a garnish! So had to order this unique dish and holy shit it was delicious! 4. Fresh catch fish tacos were really good. 5. Fresh catch entree was swordfish and my husband loved it. Everything was delicious and what a cool place this is!! We will be back!! read more

Place is awesome. Bar tender was really kind and had some great ideas of spots to check out in Key West. They also have CBD drinks on tap which I've never seen before. I didn't partake but cool none-the-less. We got some oysters which were on HH so great price and also great taste. Did a few apps and they were all good. The interior had lots of great artwork and the vibe was lowkey and relaxed. Probably could have stayed for longer but needed to keep driving. Service was on point. Will visit again. read more

Dear My New Joint, I adore peel and eat shrimp and I order them frequently when I am here, but I just can't deal with the poop vein anymore. Is there some way you can please clean the vein out before you steam them? The ones I had last night had huge gritty veins. I try to get it out myself but it is messy and smears everywhere. Here right now for the second day in a row. Wasn't planning on coming here either day tbh but no reservations at LPI were avail. If you look at my reviews, they are sparse and I only write when it's horrible or amazing. The food here is BOMB! Service fine but it was busy. 2nd night (now) service is still ok. Not why we came though...the food is SO good. So much that we wanted to come back a second night and we're leaving in 2 days. We give 10/10 for the Buffalo wings, Parmesan cauliflower, SWORDFISH, salad, brussel sprouts and pretzel. A super nice service bartender named Amanda made night #2 awesome. ***To the owner: food is 10/10 but your service got a 10 tonight for Amanda engaging with us the way she did. Awesome place with creative menu and amazing staff I am former hospitality so appreciate when a restaurant goes above and beyond , and this restaurant does on all levels. Sure it's called a " Lounge" but it's so much more then that. Cool decor and even better menu and service I love the Keys - a lot .....but so many of the restaurants rely on the same options. Don't get me wrong I love me some conch fritters and calamari as much as the next gal, but I get sick of seeing them on every restaurant menu over and over. This place really offers a lot of creativity both with food and drinks. Had a few oysters at the bar with Ray as my bartender and grabbed some empanadas to go One single negative - no outdoor seating ( damn Covid) - but rumor has it that may change some day I'll keep stopping by and grabbing some drinks and oysters at the bar and food to go ( the hubby is immunocompromised so his food will have to be to-go) I look forward to trying pork belly tacos and the tots and the sliders and the cauliflower and the radishes and ........ The drinks were made, muddled, & shaken with care, seems to be a full service bar with several choices.. more of a tapas food place & it was spectacular, Jay the bar-manager? I'm assuming, was clearly one of the best people I've seen behind a bar, ever. I don't think we've ever stayed in Cudjoe and not have made time for a drink and appetizer at my new joint! The music is always good, the drinks are always strong and the service is always great. The art is mostly all Derek Deyoung and I'm a huge fan of his! Lovely neighborhood spot that I got to with my family that lives right down the street with. This place deserves 4.5 stars. Enjoyable atmosphere, good entertainment, fun mixed drinks and a nice beer selection. Like it better than the restaurant downstairs. More fun! Liked the smoked fish dip! Fresh! (Wish they would have given us a bit more and I don't like the crackers they serve with it - crackers have too much flavor that it detracts from the fish) Chili tots were pretty good. Large portion. Hogfish sandwich with slaw was also pretty good (thou my reason for the .5 star subtraction- as I don't think it was fresh catch, but maybe a day old or so). I legitimately can't recommend this place highly enough. The entire experience was phenomenal. We had the Z. brown red blend, which was nice and smooth, as well as Ian's creation of the day the purple haze (fantastic). We had the smoked fish dip as well as the steak sliders. Visited last night for happy hour. Party of 7. The server seemed annoyed that she had to describe the happy hour drink specials. It's was 5:50.... happy goes until 6:30. The happy hour has drink specials only. Which is why I rated it the way I did. It really needs to include some happy hour food specials. The food was way overpriced. The smoked fish dip $14 and was a tiny portion and only a few crackers. The pretzel $14 with three dipping sauces was good size portion but expensive for what you get. However...we were just turned away because we brought our catch this evening and were informed that they "do not do that here". This is my first experience in 53 years of a restaurant in the Keys that wouldn't prepare your fresh catch. Needless to say we were very disappointed and hope this review first off reaches the management to perhaps review their policy and secondly saves someone else from the trouble. read more

Great bar with great food too. Ordered delicious spicy seafood gumbo in a big bowl, very filling, stone crabs. Live band, music, food, likkur, conversation with others, cancelled dinner downstairs at the Grouper, lol. Perfect choice if dining room is packed, busy and you're hungry, thirsty. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. after a 5 hour drive to the keys, we stopped in for a late night dinner an hour before closing to grab a quick takeout order. We tried calling twice to make sure we could get in, but no one picked up the phone so we drove right there. at 10 PM on the dot we arrived at the venue and saw there was about 15 patrons drinking and eating. We had to flag down service and put in our to go order with the bartender who then proceeded to make a HUGE scene about how the kitchen staff is going to hate us. We debated just leaving then, but due to the fact that nothing else was open and we hadn't eaten in hours, we decided to put up with the remarks. Then, two kitchen staff came out and audibly exclaimed "this has gotta be a JOKE". the second cook came out and refused us service and the bartender who we initially made the order with just ignored us without apologizing for the inconvenience at all. 0/10 experience - would never go back again. Only bright side is we probably avoided eating food that they would've spit in. read more

We came here twice while on our trip to Key West. Both times Nick waited on us, he was super friendly and made great suggestions. My husband wanted a key lime margarita, wasn't on the menu, but Nick made him one on the fly and killed it. Super chill vibe, delicious food and drinks.
