Island Fusion Catering exceeded all our expectations! Our wedding in April 2025 were catered from them. & from the very beginning, they were generous, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful--especially during our tasting, where they welcomed feedback with such grace and professionalism. On the big day, the food was not only delicious (our guests are still raving about it!), but beautifully presented. Every dish looked as good as it tasted, and their team executed everything seamlessly. On top of it all, everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and warm. It was such a pleasure working with them, and we're so grateful they were part of our wedding. Highly recommend!

Filet Mignon With sweet mashed potatoes

Island fusion catered my wedding and it was the best food I had during my entire stay in Hawaii. It was extremely kind that Jonas himself came over to introduce himself during the night. The filet mignon and sweet purple mashed potatoes were phenomenal. The coconut rice and seafood stuffed mahi mahi was to die for. All our guests were amazed by the taste of our appetizers, the pig roast and the display of the entrees. The staff during the wedding were great with checking up with my husband and me to make sure we were okay on food and water. It was much appreciated!

I cannot say enough about how happy we are that we went with Jonas and his team at Island Fusion Catering. We did a tasting at Jonas' beautiful house. He made so much that we took home 3 containers of food! Jonas totally understands what it is like to have a Filipino mom who equates how good a party is with how good the food is! I talked to him about what my mom was hoping for and he totally delivered! We picked these items: For pupus: crab cakes, tomato caprese skewers, coconut shrimp w/mango salsa, and mini ahi poke bowls. For food, we went with the chicken karaage station + Mac nut salad + white rice & furukake; Chinese style roast pig + steamed bao bun + fresh herbs and sauces; citrus misoyaki butterfish + baby bok choy + purple mash potatoes; and garlic herb prime rib + sweet country corn succotash + toasted coconut jasmine rice w/golden currants. Everything was so omg delicious, and our fam/friends could not stop talking about the food! Additionally, we are so happy we went with food stations rather than a buffet. With the stations, we got our guests up and out of their chairs, walking around and mingling w/each other. Jonas plated each dish beautifully. At the end of the wedding night, Jonas let my family pack up all the extra food to take home, something that I now understand most caterers don't do. Jonas was also very generous w/portions and included a free meal for most of my main vendors. He also does the cake cutting/plating for free. I 110% recommend Jonas if you want amazing food that everyone will always compare other weddings to ;)

The portions will astound you, but not flavor is sacrificed! My corned beef hash was yummy! The mac was milder for my preference, but still good. Rice was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend's shoyu chicken was so good. I loveee their Andagi but so does everyone else! They sell out quick so be sure to go early. Best Andagi on island! The staff radiate aloha. They probably work very busy days, yet keep a smile on their faces! Very efficient too. We got our food before my boyfriend finished paying! Free parking, but no where to dine. We ate in our car! Would recommend everyone try out Ige's! Be sure to check their social media for special hours and specialities!

Two weeks ago, I saw a group on FB called 808 Best Lunch Wagons, Restaurants & Entertainments that…read moresomeone had posted the menu for Ige's and saw that Wednesday they would have baked spaghetti, my favorite going to school. Wednesday, had the internet fixed in the morning, picked up my cousin at 10:30 and she gave me directions to Ige's because all this time, I didn't know they were still in business. Oops. Ige's is located in the Waimalu area behind Goodwill on Kam Hwy. There's several small businesses back there and all these driveways, you can miss this place easily. On the main driveway, there's a bike path that crosses it, and an old guard shack. After this, you want to take the second driveway on the left. You know you're going down the right path when you see Guieb restaurant on the left, which I also didn't know was here. And drive all the way to the end. Ige's is the very last store on the left. You'll see the lunch line. They are only open for lunch from Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 am - 1 pm, so you should plan ahead. The regular menu differs each day and for now, the daily specials have remained unchanged. But to make sure, check out their IG @igesaiea. When you get there, they do have some grab and goes that are not advertised. As far as pricing, they are pretty reasonable, regular plates are between $13 - $16. However, the portions, let's say it's really heavy. My cousin got a mixed plate of chicken hekka and pork teriyaki. And I got the baked spaghetti, no rice, with toss and Mac salad. And the spaghetti filled half the plate with a good amount of height. Ige's is counter only, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Therefore there are no seats. I asked my cousin if she wanted to grab a table at Neal Blaisdell park down the street and she quickly declined. So we drove back to her house for lunch. My cousin did enjoy her chicken hekka and pork. I'm didn't get to taste it because I was too involved with my meal. At first glance, it wasn't the brick, lasagna-style like school where there was a thick layer of cheese on top. However, without the cheese, it was still tasted the same from what I could remember. Because the portion is heavy, my cousin could only eat a fourth of her lunch while I thought I better tap out at 1/3. So she didn't need to make dinner for her family while I had dinner and lunch for the next day. Although the interaction was short, the counter person was pleasant and very helpful. As you look into the kitchen, you can see a lot of people hustling back there as they also do catering. I'll be away for two weeks but I am looking forward to picking up lunch when I get back and I am definitely brining family here, I just need to figure out a good place for a picnic.

All I can say is that this Plate was epic in each and every way. The Korean Fried Chicken was Super Crispy and Tasty. The Ahi Poke was Ono and those Kalbi Fries..Amazing!!! Those Crispy Crinkle Fries topped with Shreds of Kalbi were a match made in Heaven. Those Crinkle Fries really stole the show. I absolutely love Crispy Crinkle Fries when they are cooked perfectly. And of course I had to have Mac Salad with this Plate. There's a reason why Flyin' Ahi Lunch Wagon has a following. Not only is their Menu amazing but the Local Braddah taking your order is one of the nicest guys around . No matter how busy they get this guy's service and attitude is top notch. He's also very accommodating when it comes to making the Plate Lunch to your own specifications and to me that says a lot. This Plate was nothing short of spectacular and if you are in the Mililani Tech Park Area for Lunch you definitely have to check this place out. -- at Flyin' Ahi.

I was floored when the cashier said it was $14 and change. Everyone knows the 1/2 pound poke containers, and know how small it is. We're talking beef stew. NOT poke! So I'm figuring, they charge about $30 a lb? I can't believe what was in the container weighed even 1/2 pound. Cashier suggested the mini plate which was $13 and change. One scoop rice and about 10 chopped pieces of lettuce as the salad. Oh, and the stew dumped on the mini container from the half pound container. I should've went to Ige's down the street. The stew was salty. One good thing was the beef was soft and not tough. Cashier was nice too. This is the only reason for 2 stars. Hard pass on the prices here with average tasting stew. Luckily I had cash as there is a 3% credit card fee. Best to get set combo plates or food is charged by the pound. Although it was nice to try, I found some of the items were a bit salty. Surprisingly I enjoyed a fish with mushroom offering that I thought was mushroom lasagna with white sauce. Lol no pasta in this dish. 4 stars for offering a variety of options. There is something for everyone! Support local and help keep small businesses like this survive!
