Their customer service is inconsistent which keeps me away. Each time I go back I regret it. Today on my way to work I stopped. I pulled up and was car number two, NO other cars! The vehicle ahead of me was a flatbed type truck. I sat behind the truck for 3 minutes before the chit chat ended and the vehicle moved forward. As I pulled forward the barista went to her station and the cashier took my order. I pulled around and sat behind the truck as the barista and driver continued to chit chat. I watched as the driver was handed his drink, the truck did not drive off. It sat there as the barista made my coffee. Once it was done, the truck pulled away and there my drink sat on the counter. It was handed to me with no thank you or words said. What a way to start my workday! Unbelievable poor customer service! I'm done with Urban City!

Parking is in the public lot nearby. Seating is limited. All drinks are served in take-away cups. I would have preferred my 'dine-in' beverage in a mug, b ut it was still ezcellent. This location specifically is my favorite. (They have 1 downtown Poulsbo and another opening in Silverdale) It's the OG and everything about it whispers cozy coffee shop. A perfect place for a quiet date or a place to do some office work or meet with a friend. Even the outdoor seating is cozy. It's not a huge place so it's kind of forced into being cozy but they have used the space well. Even have a drive through. Though fair warning as this is the best coffee around that drive through line leaks onto the main rd and you may be better off just going inside. They also have such unique specials for espresso based drinks. I have never been led wrong by their flavor combos. The also sell single origin ethiopa coffee and canned cold brew, 2 things I am always on the hunt for.

Caffe Cocina "The Good, the bad, and the ugly"…read more Caffe Cocina is surprisingly busy, perhaps due the the Finn Hill Road drive through? I have very mixed feelings about this local Poulsbo, and soon to be Silverdale, establishment. The good: Caffe Cocina's food is arguably the best reason to visit one of their cafes. In particular, the chicken chorizo breakfast burritos are really delicious! The drink selection is extensive with some innovative twists on lattes and other coffee and tea based drinks. Unfortunately, I really judge a coffee shop on its ability to brew a really flavorful cup of black coffee - I will come back to that later in the review. The bad - The Finn Hill road location has mediocre to bad customer service depending on the day and the shift. Unless you are a charismatic individual under the age of 30, you are likely to be received with no shortage of attitude and general disdain...as if it is your pleasure to be ignored for as long as possible and then to have your order taken with the type of apathy that I would normally approach a Monday morning work conference call where you know you are going to have to listen to that one coworker that seems enamored with their ability to ask questions on points already sufficiently covered...I digress. The downtown location has much friendlier service, so head there if you do not require drive through services. The ugly - The coffee and coffee beans, probably tolerable if you are having an espresso-based drink, but I would shy away from the drip coffee and the beans for brewing coffee at home. The coffee is frankly over roasted, too oily, and decidedly one note for most of the beans that I have tried. I have sampled dark, medium, light roasts and single origins and have not tried anything worth recommending. Should this have been a 3 or a 4 star review? That depends on the location you are visiting and what you are visiting for. If you simply focus on the downtown location, I would by default increase this to a (4) star review due to the excellent customer service and the fact that they offer a pour over (unfortunately, the coffee is still mediocre). If you are visiting the Finn Hill location for anything other than the food, I stand by my (3) star review which is frankly generous given my experience most visits.

Well crafted iced mocha and tasty, tender fresh peach scone. Their menu has a nice variety of sweet & savory products and beverages, both standard and seasonal. Constant stream of customers for takeout or remaining onsite for convo, reading, or the laptop crowd. Nice mix of regulars and passersby like myself. I lingered onsite for 90 minutes, before driving onward to catch the Kingston-Edmonds ferry. Overall pleasant vibe.

I got the lorelai a fig & caramel latte with oat milk, it was a bit on the sweet side almost felt like a dessert but I'm not complaining it was amazing, my daughter had the banana pancake latte and it was equally delicious, wish I had more time to try the rest of the flavors but we were only in town for a day. I can't forget to mention they have the most beautiful flower arrangements for sale and the service was excellent our barista was so helpful in helping us choose which latte to get based on our preferences.
