Excellent coffee. Amazing views. Fantastic staff. When in Poulsbo, stop by for a bit and enjoy a full bodied, local roast, a scone or other breakfast item, and the beautiful water view. Parking is in the public lot nearby. Seating is limited. All drinks are served in take-away cups. I would have preferred my 'dine-in' beverage in a mug, b ut it was still ezcellent. I went here for some coffee while exploring Poulsbo, aka Little Norway, on a Saturday morning. There's some indoor seating here and because it's not summer yet, it's not peak season so we still manage to get a window table seat to enjoy the views. We got the Mexican mocha and London fog, both of which were solid but they don't do latte art and cover the hot drink in a cup already when served. Regardless, quality is fine and pricing is good even though you are able to see nice views inside. Do at your own accordance but we were able to bring and enjoy pastries from Sluys while drinking coffee from here as that place doesn't have any seating and it's cold outside, so that was nice to have a spot to enjoy food in Poulsbo in a relaxing ambience. read more

Truly the best place, such kind baristas and amazing coffee. We came here all the time when we lived on Bainbridge, but moved to the Portland area about a year ago. We were in town for a funeral and stopped to grab coffee beforehand, both baristas immediately recognized us which warmed our hearts and made us feel so welcome. Wow, what a cute and amazing little place! I'm camping in the area and needed to get some work done, and Yelp led me to this sweet beauty of a coffee shop right in the heard of downtown Poulsbo. First, before I forget, the coffee is soooo good. I actually had TWO lattes while I was there which, well, I pretty much NEVER do. They were both vanilla lattes, one with oat milk and one with almond milk. Their coffee is strong, but not TOO strong. I also enjoyed a huge everything bagel with their house-blended bacon-jalapeno cream cheese. Yes, it was spicy! (But, in a good way.) The service was also really great, with a warm, friendly greeting at the counter and personal delivery right to my table. Just watching all the locals stream in and out of here during my visit warmed my heart - this place definitely has a huge following. But my FAVE part of the visit was the awesome view from my table. I was able to sit for a couple of hours while working while glancing out at the sailboats, kayaks, and even a seal who kept popping its little head up to get a peek at the goings-on along the adorbs Poulsbo waterfront. The Poulsbohemian coffeehouse is so charming and quaint! Situated in town with a lovely view of the harbor (seen both with inside and outside seating!). My boyfriend and I both got the tuna salad on everything bagels and they were quite yummy - I added jalapeños and the bacon cream cheese which gave it some fun added flavor and crunch! We enjoyed both the strawberry and lavender lemonades that were very refreshing during the heat wave coming through the area! The servers were very friendly and easy to talk to as well! Can't help but spotting such a charming little coffee shop. Was it the view? Was it the location? Or was it a cute painted colors combination? I think all of the above. The drinks were good, but the atmosphere was even better. It was so calm and relaxing to sit out in the front while sipping a drink. The place was located a little further out of the main town, but it definitely wasn't any less. It's probably better that it was out there so that it didn't get flooded by tourists. This is a coffee shop enthusiast's dream to find on her travels! My friend and I decided to explore Poulsbo on her birthday. We looked up coffee shops in the area and quickly decided to stop here just by the fun name. We weren't disappointed in the slightest. She got a honey lavender lemonade, which was heavenly. The three flavors were perfectly balanced with the right amount of sweetness. I opted for an iced rose latte with hemp milk. It was great to see they make a few of their syrups in-house - namely, lavender, cardamom, and rose. This makes all the difference. My drink was just lovely. I thought the prices were reasonable given the quality of the drinks and experience both. Even though we took our drinks to-go, the service was notably fast and friendly, and the overall atmosphere (including the outdoor seating area!) made this my favorite place we visited in town. Great spot! The menu and specials all looked delicious, but I noticed that they made their own lavendar syrup so I was feeling for a Honey Lavendar Latte. This isn't on the menu, but the barista happily made my order! There's indoor and outdoor seating with the most beautiful view of the water. Since there is really not much out here, this is your best bet for coffee. I do wish our mocha was a bit stronger, it was not much more than milk and a lot of chocolate sauce. Service was great, drinks made to order quickly and prices on par with other coffee places. They have a few tables overlooking the water which is a really lovely way to be able to enjoy the area. While I would not order the mocha again, this is a great option for coffee in Poulsbo. read more

Nice little coffee shop in the downtown sector of Poulsbo. When Steve and I were here recently we wanted a sweet treat and ducked into here to get some pastries and something to drink. I had a very solid Vanilla Latte here which was highly enjoyable and we split some marvelous coffee cake with each other. The staff here were very friendly and eager to please. The coffeehouse has a very quaint, homey atmosphere which is really cool and something that I have been missing with coffee shops since my move from Colorado. Not only is that atmosphere very welcoming they also offer a great view facing the water. In the summer I'm sure it's a thrill hanging out on their porch but it is also very pleasant coming here on a rainy day like we did. The view was very enjoyable. Poulsbohemian was recommended by a local business associate as the place he wanted to meet. It is one of those eclectic coffee shops, due to its furniture and the regular local characters that frequent the place. I went two consecutive days, had mocha and focaccia bread breakfast item. Both were good (but not great). The have a very limited food menu, sourced locally. The views of the bay are awesome (as noted in the reviews). The business does have a couple of (small signs) requesting that you limit your visit to 1 to 2 hoursish. Subtle polite reminders to the limited space & the fact they are in the business to stay in business. I actually spent 2 plus hours (my business contact was late), no one said anything to me, but then again I moved from a table to a chair when done eating (to give space to others) & the place got busy, and ended up chatting up a couple of locals (one an author/recent city council candidate - the other his campaign manager) All to say, if you want a place with local vibe & color with a view - this is a good place. If you are looking for an office where a cup of coffee buys you all day internet, I suggest someplace like Starbucks :: less of a view, and they don't need the sales to stay in business. read more

I adore this place. How quaint and cute. Plenty of drink options and a few sandwiches (tuna salad, turkey salad and egg salad on your choice of bread) all served with chips and carrots. I chose the tuna salad on a toasted croissant with a lavender lemonade. I had a work conference call I needed wifi for so I settled into a small table by the water with a killer view for a long work call and checking email. It was beautiful - it was relaxing - it's everything you want it to be. There is local art on the wall for sale - eclectic paint colors - a small quaint bathroom with christmas lights along the ceiling, free wifi, outdoor seating on a small patio with a view of the water and passing kayaks and boats, and friendly staff. What more can you ask for?! This is going to be another must-stop for me when I make my annual work trip to the area. It should be for you too. read more

My go to place in Poulsbo has always been Sluys Bakery down the street. However, to celebrate Shop Small and support another indie cafe, I am visiting the Poulsbohemian Coffeehouse for the first time (in business since 1993!) Knucklehead award to this Yelper! What a delight! This is one of the better coffee shops we've been to in a long time! The view of liberty bay is spectacular on a sunny day and the atmosphere in the shop is really nice. They've got tons of big, comfy chairs, good size tables and small bistro sets depending on what you're in the mood for. Coffee here was excellent! Couple of us had a "shot in the dark" - their version of a depth charge or red eye depnding on where you're from (shot of espresso in your brew) and it was great. The dark roast coffee was great - smooth, rich and just plain nice. My better half had a chai and it too was excellent! The went great with our Poulsbo bakery donuts and really completed the morning! Plenty of books, magazines and games to kill some time and they're currently working on the world largest scarf - a nobel cause indeed! This is a spot to stop in and try if you're in the area. My husband is really posh about his cappuccinos, particularly 6 oz being the standard size. He got one here anyways (smallest they do is 8) and he said that it was, by far, the best cappuccino he'd had that wasn't standard. It was expertly made and we were really pleased! My breve was DELICIOUS and the foam was also great (quality foam instead of the excessively poofy stuff you can get other places all over this area). They have a really nice espresso machine (La Maz) that contributes to the quality, I'm sure, but the baristas have to know what they are doing. We brought my pastry (pictured) from down the way. They had many to offer here that we will be back to buy because they were so kind about me having something from outside. Only downside is that there is little to no parking in this area. I couldn't go in as, I learned on the doorstep, the dog friendly reviews are no longer applicable. (And to be fair, the health dept. may not be onboard with dogs in coffee shops, but I love it when they can go in, like the Bainbridge Starbucks with free puppucinnos). You have to order inside but if alone with your dog and therefore no one to leave it with you can't go in to order. I did feel like, the way I was addressed, that there was no invitation to come back when I was dog-free; that there are a lot more customers to replace me. Likely I missed some "NO DOGS" sign or was remiss is some other way. There's no inside seating currently and the patio with amazing view was pretty lean of seating, and a terse sign said "Oct. 10" - maybe the inside will reopen then? When I am logistically able, may visit again. After all, I will be here when all of the summer visitors are gone. read more
