I deal with a lot of depression, ADHD, and anxiety. This makes things like keeping a tidy home completely overwhelming. So, instead of taking care of the problem, I let it get worse. The worse it got, the more depressed I became. I explained all of this to her, and she listened like a friend instead of someone I had hired to clean my apartment. She was completely empathetic and non-judgmental. She was also very straightforward yet tactful about what needed to get done. At one point, I thought I had to reschedule because I had an appointment and I didn't know what to do about my dog. Brea told me not to worry, she was very good with pets, and she had experience because she had a boxer at home. Penelope approved of her right away, and Brea's energy made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with her. She worked for hours and it showed. My apartment was sparkling and it smelled incredible! I love my dog, but she has some aromas that I absolutely do not love. I had asked Brea to add floor polishing and sofa cleaning to my package which I already felt was well priced for everything she was planning to do. I don't know how she did it, but she managed to remove all of Penelope's fur, and my floors were absolutely gleaming. Not only that, she had cleaned every single baseboard and my ceiling fans until they were unrecognizable. Brea left me with more than just a clean home. She left me with a fresh slate. It's much easier to maintain a clean home than it is to clean a messy one. I find myself fastidiously, wiping every surface the moment a crumb falls. I plan to hire her to help me maintain the level of clean she achieved. I figure that the cost of the cleaning will be worth the peace of mind it gives me. The house was already generally clean, but it had been vacant, so there was typical dust in corners, behind toilets, and in window sills. I was quoted nearly $600 for what was described as an in-depth, all-day deep cleaning. On the day of the appointment, I made the mistake of giving them lockbox access because I was running behind. I arrived 40 minutes later to find a toddler inside my million-dollar home, throwing monster trucks onto custom cabinetry and bamboo floors. I was shocked. I don't have children, and the idea of a toddler being in my home--both for the safety of my property and the child--was completely unacceptable. The owner tried to smooth things over but offered no discount or acknowledgment of how inappropriate and unprofessional this was. They came back to "redo" the cleaning, and within just a few hours they claimed they were done. Dust behind the toilets was still there. They insisted I check everything on the spot, but anyone who has ever moved knows that you cannot catch every detail when you're juggling a dozen tasks--especially when you're paying professionals to handle it. When my partner arrived, she opened the microwave and oven. Both were still dirty, and with nothing more than a damp paper towel, everything wiped clean effortlessly. That alone told me the job had not been done properly the first--or second--time. I paid them just to be done with the situation, but looking back, I shouldn't have paid the owner anything. From what I understand, she charges an outrageous amount and only pays the cleaners around $100 each, which is incredibly unfair. On top of all that, I was informed that wiping the exterior windows was "extra," even at a $600 price tag. They ended up doing it, but at that point it was clear nothing was really included. In the end, I was left with stress, disappointment, and a home that was barely surface-cleaned, certainly not deep-cleaned. If you're thinking about hiring this service, be aware that you may experience unprofessional surprises--like toddlers on your property--and pay a premium for work that doesn't even meet basic expectations.

I dig up the confirmation email from Ivey and my son shows it to her staff. They reply with "Oh we will have to talk to our boss to come back, this happens ALL the time." So today, June 27th, I email Ivey to see what happened. At that point I was willing to give em another chance....I mean come on mistakes happen everywhere....right??? Her reply is "Yes they are coming today (as in June 27th) and by five PM will be a problem. They have a full day and I don't see them getting to your place before 3PM.". ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? So again Ivey has the wrong date AND is telling me her staff can't be done in the time frame I asked for on June 12 when I made the appt. What the hell?? Then my phone rings and it is Ivey. But I should not have had to come to her with this problem. I should have been notified when the hole happened. Master Bath was cleaned. However, the whole shower and tub was NOT cleaned. Found soap rings in tub. And spots all over glass door. Cleaning company had an issue with us the property owner having a security camera. Said we needed to establish trust. No the owners has a right to have a security camera in their expensive condo to check on maintenance people, etc. The cleaning company had different people coming for each service visit. And with all the problems we have been experiencing with them, we felt the need to check the camera once and awhile. The only trust that needs to be established is the cleaning company cleans, not damage property, and property owner pays their bill. We also found 4 full bags of linens left. all were wrinkled and stale smelling. Had to be rewashed and folded. One bag had wet and moldy items, along with two wet bath rugs. We should have been told there was a bag of wet linens, and rugs, before items got mold on them. Because of this we had to by new items. I feel this cleaning company is used to cleaning rentals, and not having work checked very often. However, quality and good service is still to be expected by a cleaning company. And The Coast is clean does not deliver good quality work.
