I showed up as a walk-in after a quick search of a high star pedicure option in the neighborhood. The whole scene is awesome. The shop is very spacious and has a great island, peaceful vybe. The menu is very extensive and the word pamper comes to mind. Kris gave me my pedicure. Normally I get anxious on scraping, massaging, and just having sharp stuff near my nails in general. Lots of trust issues . I had no problem with Kris. She was very gentle, but very thorough. I beat my feet and toes up in the gym during a lot of barefoot workouts, but felt thoroughly refreshed after this treatment. Some of the options are on the pricier side, but with all the add-ons, totally worth the price. Again, you are pampering yourself. My pedicure came with the soak, clipping, scraping dead skin, hot stone massage, and drink of choice (including wine). I am already planning on coming back the next time my feet are in need and I would absolutely recommend Island Nail Lounge and Kris! read more

Worth Noting: My daughters and their friend were all very unhappy about the treatment they received here. The friend had been there before and wanted to bring my daughter to get her nails and toes done. They gave her the wrong service and wanted her to pay extra for that service. They argued with her and told HER to compromise with THEM and pay extra! How is that a compromise? Not just the old adage that the customer is always right, but in this case, this business failed miserably in their attempts at customer service, with the customer being THE LAST ONE considered. The friend, against her better judgement, decided to try it again, hoping for the better service she'd remembered in the past, prior to bringing my daughter with her on their last disastrous visit. She tried to give them another chance. She made an appointment for her nails and a pedicure. They double booked her and did nothing to fix the problem. Her nail tech had an attitude and at the end tried to clean it up and be nice just to receive a tip. The inconsiderate manner in which they treated their customers, on both occasions, should have been an embarrassment for them. With their services already overpriced, add to that their lack of organization, and their rude and pushy demeanor toward customers, which equates to 'disaster' and results in this review. This company, and I stress, COMPANY, needs to be better prepared to handle the volume of customers they have and make a GALLANT effort to improve their customer service! They should be reminded that nail salons come 'a dime a dozen', even the great ones, and that it is their job, in the SERVICE industry, to ENSURE that customers want to return!!! read more

This place is so cute inside there are people for everything. This has been for sure a quality experience i got almond french tips with chrome and a flower it priced out to $105 so i would say that is pretty good. Went for the first time on Friday and the person who did my nails was very nice but I felt like it was super rushed. The girl that sat next to me started 15 minutes before me and I finished way before she got any color on her nails. I ended up not liking my nails and returned this Tuesday because on three of my nails the paint chipped off and there was bubbles everywhere in my nails and bumps everywhere not to mention my pink nail is crooked. I payed $80 plus tip so I felt like it was reasonable for me to come back if I disliked it. When I came back the lady who was doing my nails was kinda rude and the whole time she did my nails she looked so unhappy. While filing down the color she was pressing down too hard and it hurt. I could tell she was was frustrated and angry. I tip even though I hated my nails because I felt like it was adequate since she spent time fixing it. But once again it was very rushed and now all my nails are bumpy and it just looks awful. So I went back to the place I usually go to which is a five star nail and spa and they did an amazing job of fixing all the mistakes that is Island nail made. The service is always great every time I visit. I always request for Vee and she does a great job on my pedicures. She's very sweet and quick but not rushed. They serve wine, cocktails, water etc while you are a patron. you also receive your bill while sitting so there's no need to wait around at the front to check out which I love. I always get great service when coming here! The nail techs know what they're doing and they do it well. My favorite thing about coming here is that they time the massages, so you know that you're getting exactly what you paid for (most pedi packages will tell you how long the massages are). I give the manager a NEGATIVE STAR for customer service. I had to go back after less than 10 days because my nail was lifting. The rest were flaking off terribly at the cutical. I tried to explain this to the manager after i brought a client in with me to have several services. The manager said the technician did not agree with me. Her exact words were "she is truthful". Basically saying I was lying.... smh. There are 3 nail salons within a mile of each other. I do not need to put up with this kind of customer service. Tailor does a good job on pink & white nails and she could get a positive rating but I will not go back bc of the way i was treated. I go regularly to get pedicures and refills on my nails. It has been explained to me that when my nail beds are sore it's from being filed to rough. Long but a must read. Not happy at all with the service I received today. I went in for a broken nail. That's all. (Had my nails done 7 days ago with shellac) I had to wait about 10 minutes before someone came over to help me. They were really busy, so no big deal. Karen sat down and started to look at my nail. I asked her why my shellac was so bumpy on several of my nails since I just had them done. She said the polish might be old. Just then Long (one of the ladies who works up front)was walking by and the Karen stopped her to show her about my nails. I told both of them I was just asking about why they were bumpy because if this is what happens with this color then I won't get it anymore. Not once did I ever ask them to redo all my nails. Long told Karen that was not right and for her to file all the color off and repaint all of them. Long ask me was that fine with me. I said "yes, that fine. I was just asking why." Karen files all the color off and said, "I'll be right back." She walks to the front and when she returns she tells me she CAN'T do my nails because I need a refill on the side of my nails because they are lifting. WHAT. (Remember I just had them done 1 week ago) She could not do them because she had an appointment coming. I'm sitting there shocked. Then JV(another lady who works up front, possibly the manager walks up to me and what she said and how she said it to me was so RUDE! JV said I would have to leave and come back because they thought that I only needed one nail fixed - not getting all of them redone and they are just to busy to that right now. I needed to LEAVE and make an appointment to come back. W H A T!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER ASKED THEM TO REDO ALL MY NAILS - LONG TOLD HER TO REDO ALL OF THEM. I have never in 20 years of getting my nails done left anywhere with my nails not finished UNTIL NOW! I did leave with my nails not half done! When I was leaving I did stop and tell JV the way she spoke to me was rude and I have never been "told I had to leave and come back later that we are to busy to fix your nails now", and it was Long who said to redo ALL MY NAILS not ME. She did apologized and said she was unaware of what was going on with my nails. (My suggestion - next time find out before opening your mouth!) I had no choice but to make appointment for later that day to get my nails FINISHED! Pauline (who is great)was confused when I sat down needing a refill because she knew I was was just there a week ago. Then she looked at my nails and said "oh you do need one." Thank god she did an excellent job. I can't believe for all the rude service, having to have a refill after only one week, AND HAVING TO DRIVE BACK THERE TWICE (gas is not free) they did not give me some kind of coupon for my next visit. But I guess they are thinking the same thing as me; is she going to return? Good question. Updating review. Went to Ocean Nail (same owner as Island) and Kathy(she works at both locations) was there. She had recently saw my daughter and heard what happened. She did apologize for what happened at Island Nail Spa and did make it right. It would have been nice if JV would have apologized when it happened but, I guess at least someone did. Thanks Kathy for stepping up. I am sad to give this place a 1 star review since the work was well done and the girls who did my mani and pedi were awesome. Everything was going well until I get charged and I noticed that there was an overcharge of $10. I was driving home when I noticed so I called them and asked them for their prices just to clarify. The first time they answered they just hung up. The second time I called they gave me the prices and they did not add up. I was told that a manicure with shellac and a pedicure was $35+ $17 which equals $52 but the women on the phone insisted that it was $62 (which is how much I was charged before tip). I tried to explain to this individual but she was not helpful. Such a shame because I liked their service but I WONT go back to a place where they overcharge me and then do not want to accept their mistake and make it right. Because I was told that I was confused supposedly on the prices given, I just added pictures of the actual website. Manicure basic(Getaway) has an extra charge of $15 so this manicure should have been $32 not $35 and the Getaway pedicure says that you should have a $3off if you have a mani and pedi. I insist my charge should have been less than what I was charged. ALIGN YOUR PRICES so your customers won't "be confused" or get overcharged. read more

I've been a loyal customer for two years. Their customer service and quality is exceptional. However, my experience today was very unsettling to say the least. Today, I witnessed Karen, Pauline and the young boy with glasses bullying another employee, Michelle. At the time they thought it was funny but they did not witnessed Michelle's eyes tearing up. I tried my best to distract Michelle. After Michelle finished my nails (which came out AMAZING) the young boy and Pauline continued to degrade her. Why on earth did they think that was okay?! Or that they seemed "cool" by doing that. I and the other paying customers just sat there awkwardly and furious. There was no way I was walking out that door with my mouth shut!
