Games in the room by the office and also bathroom/showers available. There wasn't much space for kids to ride there bikes. Was a great stay still.

The camp sites were VERY short, we were barely able to fit our unit in, which was not what the website stated. There were also lots of trees hanging down and overgrown that made it difficult to get in. All of the other units in the camp ground were covered in spider webs and overgrown weeds/grasses. Clearly many people had not moved their units in a long time and several probably had not had people inside them in a long time either. Overall it was not a very comfortable place to be. I would not have felt comfortable staying there as a female alone. The lake is right across the street but it was buggy, hot, humid, and smelled like sewage. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone to stay, nor would I stay there again myself. Luckily we were only passing through for the night and only there maybe a total of 12 hours, but that was even too long.

The park itself is beautiful peaceful lake views, well-kept grounds, and such a calm, relaxing vibe. Everything was clean and easy! Full hookups worked perfectly and the whole place felt safe and cared for. We loved taking morning walks with our dog around the property and just soaking in how quiet and serene and perfect for unwinding together. But what truly made this stay special was the management. She is hands-down one of the nicest, most attentive people we've ever encountered at any RV park. Friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of what she runs, and it shows. She made us feel like guests, not just another reservation. If you're traveling as a couple, with pets, or just want a stress-free, relaxing lakeside stay, this place is a gem. I was a local kid who worked my summer jobs cleaning cabins, then at the pool snack bar and then, finally, at the coveted lifeguard position at the two pools. All the "city kids" would come every summer and I had my "summer friends" when I wasn't in school. It was magical. I now live in San Diego and my children can't understand that magic so I try to compare it to movie, "Dirty Dancing." They are jealous. I don't blame them; Pine Grove in the 1980s was something out of a movie. Anyone who was there has endless stories about the place. I read someone on here say the new owners keep the local "riff raff" out... I don't know what that means but back when I was a local kid working there, the city kids and local kids loved meeting every summer. I hope that kind of kindness isn't lost on this generation.

I really didn't know what to make of Pine Grove Resort when I first encountered it, looking for…read morevenues to host a summer-camp-themed camping trip for my fiancee and a couple dozen of our friends. The reviews were sparse and mixed but the space looked beautiful online. I reached out directly by email to Joe, describing the type of event I wanted, and he was very responsive and helpful and generous. First of all, if you read nothing else, I have to rave about the infrastructure. Joe and the folks over there are really bright, mindful, and hardworking - and you can see from what they're building. The bathroom/shower complex near the campground is new and well built. A stone's throw away, the pool area is beautiful and clean, with a majestic lawn to run around on and great facilities. We rented the Mooncat Tiny House and the Glamping Tent and they are both cute, well proportioned, and well designed. The owners have beautiful things and great taste - we found the kitchen stocked with Japanese knives and Staub & Le Creuset cookware. They've cleverly set up mesh WiFi around the whole area that, while not reliable enough for Zoom calls, is impressive. I got a chuckle when a friend, sitting on a stump, asked me for the WiFi password. Even the structures that aren't new are taken care of; things are lived in and not luxury, but nothing is dilapidated. When I first got there, it took some time to get my bearings. The property is rather large (we never really did explore the east half of it) and there are a lot of structures, some inhabited and some available to rent. Folks of all stripes seem to live there at all times of year. I think the thing that first threw me off is you're never TRULY out of eyesight or earshot from someone, despite the woodsy environ. There's often the odd person or small group sitting on a porch, working on a project, hanging by the pool, or walking a dog - it's more like an unstructured neighborhood in the woods than a secluded campground. I soon met Joe and found him to be a helpful and well-meaning fellow. In time, folks in my group struck up conversations with the other folks around. Noah and one of the kids came to clean out the glamping tent for us and were very welcoming as well. Everyone was friendly and I came to realize this was a community of folks who had come here - perhaps some temporarily - to get away from the outside world and find some time and space for themselves. The attitude as I see it was rather healthy and positive. People there seem to be generous of mind and spirit. I was nervous that our group - 30-somethings drinking and floating in the pool, yelling and cursing at one another as we played games like spikeball and cornhole - would be an unwelcome nuisance, but the residents were really kind, accepting, and even fascinated by our antics. I would recommend Pine Grove highly to anyone, but mostly I think I've found a gem that I hope is around for years to come. I think when we all have young kids and want a place to spend a quiet weekend where they can explore, this will be our oasis. The staff stated when we got there that they couldn't wait to get out of there to go home, meaning Texas. Since the captain left the pool is closed. The management was using a mole poison on the lawn where pets and people lounge.Our towel was stained and the floor under the bed unswept.Barbara could use a lesson in customer service. The lake was absolutely beautiful as usual.

This is a very nice property. We have visited to rent boats and enjoy day use many times each…read moresummer. But, new management has been installed and our last visit was a nightmare. We reserved a boat and arrived at the designated time. The boat we were given, we found had an almost dead battery. I called the office from the lake and the manager told us to just click the breaker switch. So doing this we limped a little farther up the lake and then the battery died altogether. I once again called and the manager said she didn't know if she had a boat to retrieve us, but she would call back in 5 minutes. After 15 minutes we hailed another boat from the resort and asked them to tow us in. They said they also had been given a boat with a dead battery but were able to get back in and switch boats . When we got back to the dock I saw the manager and asked for a refund. She flatly refused and had her employees remove us from the property. I was with my 10 year old grandson and my 82 year old disabled husband. We were set to at least use the beach for the day, but no. Now day passes are no longer a part of boat rental . So she had her employees, who were red with embarrassment, pick up our belongings and usher us out the gate. This was such a change from the way the resort was run under the owners. I heartily advise avoiding this business until new management is installed. It's a shame really because we visited several times each summer with family and friends. We won't be back unless we hear things have changed for the better.

The two-bedroom, two-bath townhome has a fantastic layout and felt very spacious. We also appreciated having the barbecue on our private patio, which was very convenient for family meals. The living room was comfortable, and we were able to enjoy watching the soccer game on the TV. Unfortunately, the resort could use much better maintenance and housekeeping. As we walked up to the second floor, the stairways were noticeably dirty and looked like they needed to be power washed. There were spiderwebs throughout the property, and the number of bugs everywhere was overwhelming. The property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The front entrance and common areas are the first impression guests receive, and they were not clean or well-maintained. The overall appearance of the resort lacked curb appeal and did not feel welcoming. The townhome has a wonderful layout and plenty of potential, but it also needs updating and a much more thorough cleaning. The biggest disappointment was the customer service at the front office. I couldn't believe the way my family was treated. The staff was not welcoming or helpful, and they would greatly benefit from customer service training. Guests should feel valued and respected from the moment they arrive. The fitness center has quality equipment, but the room is so small that the large machines make it feel cramped. We were also unable to enjoy the pool because it was overcrowded with large inflatable floats, loud rap music, and there was nowhere to sit and relax. One small inconvenience was that the living room TV only had one remote, which made it difficult for everyone to use. Overall, WorldMark Clear Lake has a beautiful location and a well-designed townhome layout, but the resort needs significant renovations, better cleanliness, improved maintenance, a more presentable front entrance, and much stronger customer service. The customer service here is not great. The people are nice enough, but the people working the front desk do not seem to know the answers to even basic questions. Even though the place was completely empty, they charge for an early check in. Our reservation was not correct, and they put us in a regular double room instead of the suite we asked for. Had to return to the lodge and get all new keys and room after unloading and reloading the car. We also paid for a late checkout, and we still got locked out of our room and no one responded to our call. We had to go down to the lobby, which isn't easy here, after being promised someone was on their way. Getting anything takes forever or no one knows the answer. We stayed Saturday to Monday. Unfortunately, the onsite food service and bars close at 3pm on Sundays even though that was our full day there. The tiki bar was hardly open to get drinks by the pool. Essentially the only thing to actually do here is swim in the pool, get a massage, or use the gym. No kayak rentals, no mini-golf course, no pontoon cruises, etc despite all of this being advertised on the website. It was mostly empty and felt very abandoned in most parts of the property. The highlights: the pool is nice and people were very friendly. The bartender was awesome and went above and beyond to do what she could. The actual suite was nice, but not worth the price based on the other amenities being unavailable. The massage therapist was amazing! If the owners put any effort into this place, it could be great. The lake and scenery are amazing. In its current state, we wouldn't return.

There are bass, catfish and bluegill here. Trails go around the reservoir so you have many options for fishing, or you can take a kayak on the lake and fish anywhere you like. There is also a rope swing along the trail not far from the parking lot that kids use for recreation. There are bathrooms on site and many picnic tables as well.

We hit this park yesterday for some fun in the sun and it was perfect. The course wasn't crowded,…read morethe weather wasn't too hot (being up in Lake County I expected it to be hotter), and it was beautiful. Old oaks all over the park making some holes challenging but worth the effort. Overall it is well maintained for a disc course. There is a total of 23 holes if you play A-E in the middle of the course. I think it's around hole 14 that you hit these holes which I recommend. Nice rolling terrain with some steep sections that make it a great day out there. We had never been before and did ask a couple times about where the next hole is to be found but honestly it's labeled well enough to figure it out, we just aren't shy to ask. There are several tee boxes for each hole but primary is where you find the tee pad. Many tournaments out here which is the reason for the different starts. I thought it was great. Lots of benches and places to drop your bag by the tee boxes which is nice, garbage cans around the course to keep it clean. Bathrooms after hole 6 up the way a bit by the picnic grounds. Nothing at the start of the course, so ladies be prepared. If you are looking for a new course check this spot out, really pretty and worth the trek.
