Decent sushi restaurant if you need a quick fix. I only tried it once and we ordered a bunch of different rolls. The fish was fresh and the service was great. What kept it from a good place to a great place was the way some of the rolls were made. We order some special rolls and they came out fine but we also ordered five regular rolls and the rice to fish portion was not good at all. Such a cute little place with awesome owners and excellent food. we got two appetizers. This eggplant sandwich and this sushi Trio. I don't remember the name of it. Both were really amazing. Then I got the lunch special with a special.roll. I chose the Mango Hawaii roll and a tuna roll . This came with their salad or a miso soup. I chose a salad. Absolutely horrible service and cleanliness. The food "sushi" tasted terrible and had an foul smell to it. When I brought it to the "chef's" attention, who was behind the counter, he was extremely rude, obnoxious and would not acknowledge that there may be something wrong with it. He was definitely in denial and extremely arrogant that there couldn't have anything wrong with his food because, as he put it, "I'm the expert and your not". We took out some sushi and some non- sushi. My husband was very happy with the Crazy Spicy Tuna. My husband has traveled all over the world and he loved this. We ordered the hibachi rice w/ shrimp which was different from other restaurants and very good. It had large shrimp and many of them. This place was one of my favorite Japanese restaurants growing up since it was so close to my house. It was a nice small dine in with a sushi bar which is great for those stopping by for a quick lunch or dinner. The staff have always been nice and the food was good. Recently I stopped by here again and I am not sure if it is worth coming back. The portions were much smaller than any of the other Japanese restaurants in the area and the food did not taste cooked well. I stayed on the safe side and ordered the Salmon teriyak lunch special and what I received was very small. I'm not sure if perhaps it was just the day I went that had an issue but if the event comes up again for me to stop by I will give them another try. read more

Nate is a fantastic sushi chef who creates delicious eats on and off the menu. I always opt for the menu items including sautéed baby bok choy, and my usual staples, the 2019 roll, volcano roll or the spicy salmon roll. Fish is always fresh. Great flavor. Nate's dishes never disappoint and he makes his creations a beautiful piece of art. They never rush you out but don't worry, you'll never leave hungry. I was so happy when this sushi place opened a couple of years ago. This has become my regular sushi spot. For a long time my mother and I would come here on a weekly basis. It can be hard to find good delivery options on Long Island and a big plus for this restaurant is that they deliver. They also have a great lunch special. Most sushi restaurants give only soup or salad with lunch but here they do both. They often give a small appetizer on the house when you dine in. I've tried many of their rolls; they are all great and the fish is always fresh and high quality. Some definite must try's: Crystal Roll, Oakdale Roll, Tiger Roll, and the Mama Roll. I think the knock out rolls are the Fantasy Roll, 2014 Roll, and the White Tiger Roll. The service is very fast and attentive. It seems that the staff has changed entirely since when they first opened. I do miss the people who used to work here but the quality is the same. read more

Sooo for those not "in the know," Long Island prides itself on its sushi. There are tons of sushi places all over the island & they fall into basically one of two categories. 1. A night club that happens to sell sushi. People get dressed up, there's house music blaring, & folks are gettin they drank on. The sushi is usually good, but it is loud & chaotic. Or 2. Hole in the wall, no frills, family friendly places. Kids and regulars are there, no music, & folks aren't dressed up particularly. This place definitely falls into the second category. My wife & I came here & split the salmon 4 ways appetizer and the sushi & sashimi for two. First off, you get tons of food here. I usually have a pretty hearty appetite, but I couldn't finish off all the sushi. The appetizer was good. It was basically cubed sashimi in 4 different sauces. One was horseradish based & the other was spicy mayo. Those were the two I remember because those were the two I liked the most. The sushi & sashimi for two was a wonderful array of sashimi, nigiri & rolls. The salmon, tuna, & yellowtail were all very fresh & very tasty. Additionally, the spicy tuna rolls had a really wonderful crunch to them. Very nice. We left probably 4 or 5 pieces of fish on the plate & that just doesn't happen very often for me. A true testiment to their generosity in portion size. The prices were great too. Surprisingly low cost for the quality & quantity of food you get here. Ordered delivery from the place with an order of katsu and teriyaki chicken lunch combos. They forgot the rice which is saddening as it's needed to complete the dish. Since it's a heavy component, they didn't fully refund the order and each order I had, had rice excluded from it. The quality is decent since the katsu was fried well. However, there was no curry sauce or even soy sauce to accompany it. The sauce would have made it less dry and easier to swallow. They skimp on necessities to take your money. It's located in a small shopping center. My husband ordered the sashimi deluxe and for only 18 dollars , you get good amount of quality fish and you even get slices of tuna belly which is one of the most expensive cuts of the tuna. I also ordered the crab salad for 12 dollars you get a good portion and lots of real peices of shredded king crab. I also got The dynamite roll and yummy roll and they are also delicious!!
