Their customer service is lacking. They have a kid answering the phone and she argues with customers when the customer wasn't satisfied with their food. A simple fix goes a long way. Now they lost a customer. Joke is on them. read more

I got delivery from here through Uber Eats. The chicken and broccoli was just ok, but the appetizers (cream cheese wontons, wonton soup and chicken wings), were all pretty good. There's not many good Chinese places near me but this one was decent. Good price too with the uber coupon. read more

The food was hot when it arrived (from cooking not spices). Which is kinda a first for me. Not many negatives at all. It was tasty and enjoyable. I just wish they had given us more fortune cookies. Came here last night for dinner. I ended up getting the pork egg foo young, egg roll, and chicken wings. The gravy on the egg foo yung was so thick and full of flavor. The egg roll was nice and crispy, not greasy. The chicken wings were good but needed a little more seasoning. I will definetly come back here again as their food is reasonable and good. read more

This place was my go to Chinese take out when I lived in the area. I just recently got it again when visiting my parents who live nearby. The place is definitely a step above the people across the street. I will not mention the name of the business. I always order the same things because I know they will satisfy me. I'm a huge fan of their lo mein. There is plenty of noodles, vegetables, and they are not stingy on the meat of your choice if that is a preference. My tip for an appetizer are the cream cheese wontons. I've shared with many of my friends and they are immediately hooked. You get just enough crunch and then you can taste the crab which is not overpowered by the cream cheese and scallions. The hot and sour soup is delicious as well. The broth is not as fatty as others I've experienced. Other entrees that I have had and would recommend are the sweet and sour chicken and the beef chow fun. Both dishes do not disappoint in my opinion. The sweet and sour chicken actually has chicken and not just full of batter. The chow fun noodles are not dry and vegetables are cooked perfect and still have crunch to them. The people their are very friendly and always open to make adjustments to any meal. read more

I love their Chinese food. I usually don't like to eat Chinese food that much because it's known to be greasy but their food is delicious. I always order on my break. I work down the street at the barbershop and I don't have a car and they are nice enough to deliver to me without having to pay the $10 minimum. I give a good tip though. Haha. read more

The food at this restaurant is terrible. There is no flavor to any dish we ordered. It's very bland. The beef and broccoli, or should I say the BROCCOLI & very little beef was misproportioned, the Moo Shoo Pork had no pork, and the egg rolls had very little flavor. I am updating my review of 2015 since I believe this restaurant changed ownership sometime since my last review. I waited a long time before updating to get a good handle on the food quality. I'm happy to say that Yau Yu is still a great take-out option! Yay! For me, it is one of life's small pleasures to have a good Chinese take-out restaurant nearby. However, there have been some changes--some good and some less so. The steamed dumplings continue to be firm, which I like, but they are now actually very doughy and without flavor. The chicken wings, as another reviewer noted, are not well seasoned anymore. The shrimp with lobster sauce is watery. However, a major improvement to the menu is the amazing Spinach Chicken soup, which is a simple soup of white meat chicken, fresh spinach and egg white. Simple and yummy. I've never had it anywhere else. It is my go-to comfort soup for anything from a sniffle to a bad day in the office. I do reach into my bowl with kitchen shears to cut the long fresh spinach leaves to make eating a bit easier. The rest of the menu features plump, fresh meats and shrimp as well as crisp green vegetables. It is still my first-choice take-out in the area. read more
