I'm writing this review solely based on them charging my credit card for monthly tanning after the fact I canceled ,and then called several times then the owner calls me back and says she'll speak to her billing company to get it refunded .. and it never refunded so I called back several times spoke to the girls letting them know it's never charged back and to have the owner call me .. we'll after 2 months of trying to get my money back I had to take more time call my credit card company and dispute the charges !! No way to run a business.. tells me they have money issues .. I would not recommend this business you can't trust them with your credit card !! read more

As a man i was a little nervous coming in, but all of the workers were so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable and helped me with any questions i had! I was able to speak with the owner who is so gracious and helpful, and i found the tanning bed that works best for me! I have been coming here for months now, and they have never let me down! I really enjoy visiting Island Tan. It's always kept clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The owner is great and so sweet. I have the monthly membership for the higher end beds it's like $60 a month and I believe it's worth every penny. I can tan unlimited and my card is charged once a month & there's never a problem. I guess the only rough thing is they don't open until 10 AM. Stand up, sit down beds they play music and never fail to have the place spotless. Cleanliness is huge for me at a tanning salon and the staff is on it about cleaning. They even let you keep your lotion (in an awesome/perfect lotion bag they sell) in a cubby hole type thing inside a tote so you don't ever forget your lotion, chapstick, eye goggles, stickers and hair clips! I love this place! First, the girls that work here are all so friendly and nice. I have only come in maybe 9-10 times and some of the girls even know me by name now (it may sound silly but I think that's such an important thing - getting to your customers makes a big impact). Next, they have great prices and monthly specials; we are talking amazing deals! I love that I'm able to control the volume of the radio in my room and adjust the fan speed. I've been going to this place for over five years. Even when I moved to Tustin I drove to this place because I didn't like the other three places I had tried out in Tustin/Irvine. The place is always clean, and they are huge on customer service. Prices are awesome and their beds actually make me dark fast. I almost feel bad writing this review because the girls there are really nice, especially the receptionist. Very friendly and personable, which is literally the only reason why I have given them any stars. I came here on a groupon deal - $19 for a custom airbrush spray tan. The girl that gave me the spray tan did not spray me evenly; I had some spots that were not sprayed at all, near my ankles, hands and on my arms. I've gotten two custom tans in the past and I could tell she was not being very thorough. My "tan" was very splotchy and I could see the darker spots in my pores. The two I've had prior to this from another place, the tan just faded, but this one looked VERY splotchy as it wore off. Thank GOD I didn't get this for my wedding & a vacation! I had told her I've gotten sprayed before and she neglected to tell me I need to put the lotion on my feet and hands. The last time I got spray tanned was over a year ago, she should have still told me how to prep. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable, but she seemed careless. read more

Mystic Tan Review 5 Stars - Service, the girl working the front gave me very detailed instructions which I appreciated very much. This was not my first mystic tan but this was the most informative. Super firendly and very welcoming. I rec'd a 20% off discount since this was my first visit. 1 Star - Mystic tan, I felt like the spray (level 2) did not really hit my face well, I figured there was enough mist to make a difference and give me a nice glow overall....nope. My face was very light in comparison to my body. I followed the directions exactly like I was showed at the salon so not sure why my face was missed. Color looked nice on the rest of me... Waited about 24 hours to take a shower and once I got out of the shower it was almost as if the tan washed off. I saw my boyfriend shortly after and he asked me if I was getting my mystic tan today... UHHHH, I ALREADY GOT IT... I thought maybe it was in my head that my tan vanished, but no. I asked my sister what she thought and she laughed when I said I got a mystic tan done. I would have loved to make this salon my new favorite spot, but there is something wrong with the mystic tan spray or something. All i got was being super smelly for 24 hours. read more

Let me just say that everything from making the appointment to the appearance of the shop to the lovely and very helpful employee was top notch. My experience here was great. One special note.....I left my wedding ring in the container in the room and left. I was almost home when I realized it. I immediately called the shop and the employee (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name) waited for me to come back and she walked the ring out to me. Honesty! What a refreshing concept. I get custom airbrush tans fairly often but i had never tried this place. The lady that was supposed to come to my house and spray me had an emergency and wanted to reschedule but i had seen this place on a groupon. I was able to redeem it same day which is almost unheard of at other places ive been to. I called the place to make an appointment and the girl on the phone was very nice and told me she could take me right away. Once I arrived i noticed the place was very clean and welcoming. She got to me right away and was very thorough. This was also the very first time that someone has voluntarily gone back and resprayed the parts they maybe missed or just needed to be redone without being asked. The girl was very good! This tanning salon is so convenient! All the women that work there are super sweet & give you their helpful advice on lotions, which beds are more effective, and so on. Though it is a little pricey (lotions can be around $75) it is still much better than any other tanning salon or service that I have ever been to! read more

Super clean, quick and friendly. I've been here twice for airbrush tanning and loved the results of the tan both times. The only thing that made me hesitant to review and rush back was that my skin cracked a lot around day 3 of each tan. I don't know if its the solution or if it was my dry skin but I have been trying to restore the moisture in my skin before returning for another session to see if it's me or the solution. I love this salon! It has a down-to-earth vibe and is in a well-maintained building. The receptionist was super friendly and made me feel at home-she helped me get the best deal for a product that would help prevent my tattoos from fading.
