The beautiful turquoise blue caught my eye, I never had this cigar before. It was smooth. From Nicaragua

I was making a Pho run for lunch when I caught the signage for this place in the corner of my eye . I mentally bookmarked it and came back later that day after work . I was greeted by a friendly gent who worked at the place who showed me inside and told me a little about this place. I also got to meet the owner,,,, very nice guy who introduced me to their selections and the humidor. Great service and ambiance. I definitely felt comfortable here and see myself coming back to hang' for a bit and smoke a stogie in the lounge.

The Rat! Thanks Chad.

My all time favorite cigar lounge, and I'm a member of a cigar lounge back home. I'm always looking for a cigar lounge near my hotels when I travel. It's a great place to relax, meet locals and get dining recommendations. Islands is perfectly nestled neatly in a small strip on the corner of Central and Brea Blvd, right on my route to and from hotel/work. Could it be any better? Well, yes, yes it could. And it is. Chad is the friendliest, most welcoming proprietor I've had the pleasure of meeting anywhere in Brea. His selections are out of this world and his knowledge follows suit. He has several items I don't normally see back home which make for a delightful tasting experience. The regular crowd here is also great. As the FNG a few weeks ago I was treated to some shared snacks and even given 'the good seat' for watching the movie that was on. Don't want to watch TV, there's additional seats around the corner for the quieter group. In conclusion, GO SEE CHAD.

First time cigar smoker here and I'm glad that I stopped by Isands to get my first couple cigars. Man cave. An excellent man cave is what came to mind as I walked in the entrance. Flat screen with the game on, big comfy seats/sofas with guys chiefing cigars in 'em. Islands lounge also has more space in the back but I walked straight to the humidor. As I walked in, I was taken back by the vast selection. Having never smoked a cigar and going by reviews on cigar.com I was honestly lost and a lil intimidated lol. It's funny to think on that now but that all went away as soon as Chad went in to assist me. Chad helped me out tremendously. His knowledge and guidance put me at ease. I felt that he was being genuine and wasn't just trying to sell me an expensive cigar or a cigar that wasn't selling. He asked questions about the coffee and alcohol I like to drink, how long was I trying to smoke, explained the different sizes and kinds of wrappers. Bottom line is that he asked questions AND listened to my answers to find me the perfect selections. I ended up with a Montecristo Epic Toro and a Hoyo La Amistad Black Rothschild/Robusto. Not only did Chad help me pick them out but he also gave me a Maduro house blend for free for my first visit and first time smoking a cigar!! So after leaving Islands, I headed to a family BBQ. I decided to go with the Hoyo and man.. I fuckin loved it lol. It tasted like dark chocolate/mocha with a lil bit of a nice spiciness towards the end. It was exactly how Chad described it, even the amount of time it took to smoke was on point. I was sippin on some Remy Martin, having great conversations with family and enjoying my first cigar. It's a labor day miracle, Charlie Brown lol. I wanna give a huge thank you to Chad, for taking the time to get me the right cigars for me, explaining things and for the maduro! I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience with the lounge and cigar! I'll be coming back to Islands and recommending it to family and friends.

The Godfather enjoying a great cigar.

He meticulously managed our entire party and promptly addressed our requests. I had booked the VIP room for my husband's 35th birthday, and he had an unforgettable time. The room surpassed my expectations, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of our own private club. Full House generously offered to decorate the celebration, and they did an outstanding job. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by an abundance of balloons, creating an awe-inspiring ambiance. Now, let me tell you about the culinary experience. The food was simply extraordinary. It was freshly prepared, bursting with flavors that left us utterly delighted. I highly recommend trying the baked chicken wings; they are an absolute must-try. We will undoubtedly return to Full House not only to savor the delectable food but also to create lasting memories and host future celebrations. Thank you, Full House, for making our experience truly unforgettable!

Everything was in mandarin, and even after trying to switch the language, most of the interface stayed the same. It took a while to figure out, but once we did, it was ok... The service was alright. Also - inside the private room. It got SO hot in there that it felt like a toaster oven. Seriously, they need to install better air conditioning or improve the ventilation because it made it hard to fully enjoy the experience.

Nine Social is a cozy wine bar located on the far west end of Birch Street in downtown Brea, right…read morenext to Macallans. There is a free parking garage right across the street. Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

Some places sit in the back of your mind for years…read more I first came to Macallan Public House more than a decade ago on a date and always intended to return. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

Its an intimate, romantic place with low lighting and old fashioned decor. I got the pom lemonade - it was tart and refreshing - but my friend let me try her School's Out mocktail and it was INCREDIBLE! I got the lobster bisque - the tableside presentation was an elegant touch and it was creamy and rich - and the flank steak for dinner. One of the top 2 steaks ive ever had. Cooked to perfection. Bread was also tasty! Got the petite choco souffle with the grand marnier anglais. Also perfectly fluffy but my friend got it with the choco sauce and i have to say that one was better. I couldve eaten a bowl of both sauces on their own though. It seemed lively at the bar esp for a thursday, so i know this place is a populat hangout. Definitely go for a special occasion, you wont regret it! I hope to go again soon!
