Our Usual place is closed due to the storm damage, so we booked here as they are one of the only places open with full Kitchenettes. Most of the Restaurants are still closed, Publix is open. CVS is open, Walgreens is open. Enough places to get essentials. Sir Hubbers & I drove around the whole hotel, the side streets surrounding this hotel are apocalyptic. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. We couldn't find a room so we somehow ended up here. Where we got there, our room was not ready so we went outside as the beach is right across the street, no problem. When we finally did get in our room, we realized there was NO AC in the entire hotel, our room was left HOT all day, it was sweltering. They finally turned the little AC on that stuck out the wall when we walked into our room. It was a unbearable HOT MESS from then on. The young man that runs the place was sober when we checked in. We couldn't take the heat so we got ready around 4am to leave. We called the number to check OUT around 6am. The Owner was up & it was HE that called the young man to check us out. When he finally got up & came to run our Credit Card, he smelled to high heaven, like an old alcoholic. So bad, it almost made Hubby chuck. The worst part? The two giant German Shepards (dogs) that also live there that run around the hotel, they let them poop all over the place. As we were leaving, the two giant German Shepard dogs are let out in this tiny tiny side yard that is filled to the brim, the ground, completely covered in dog poop. I mean, the ground is so completely covered in dog poop you can smell it so strongly FROM THE STREET it almost made us both chuck. Looking over the fence from the street you can see the dogs have to wade in this RIVER of DOG POOP. Then, they have it all over THEIR FEET & then they are let BACK INSIDE. These people LIVING HERE are going to die from some horrible disease. This place needs to be permanently closed. Someone needs to save these poor animals. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I hope the property owners take responsibility, work with environmental officials, and adopt practices that protect both the local ecosystem and the people who enjoy it.

Natalia was a great bartender, she was friendly and gave the most awesome recommendations off the menu. She did not miss a beat! Randy was a fantastic host. He was in communication via text as soon as the room was ready and greeted us immediately as we arrived on the property which does not require you to check in as they send you your room number and code to get in. In the room they also leave all important information including your parking pass and two complimentary drink tickets for a convenient arrival no matter what time you get in. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a king bed, updated bathroom, big-screen TV, and a convenient kitchenette. There were complimentary mimosas in the lobby each morning. They even have a wonderful restaurant on the 2nd floor, 82 Degrees, where we enjoyed most of our meals for the weekend.

If you're looking for 3 nights of uninterrupted sleep, I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere. If you're looking for a front desk that seems largely indifferent after multiple complaints about noise, this may be the place for you. If slow internet is high on your wish list, you'll feel right at home. One of the biggest challenges was the noise. This is an older property, and sound travels easily between rooms and common areas. During both nights of my stay, wedding related events were taking place on site. On one evening, the noise continued past 11:00 p.m. directly beneath my room and made it extremely difficult to sleep when I had to be up very early the next morning. When I contacted the front desk, I was informed that they were unsure when the event would conclude but would ask guests to keep the noise down. While I appreciated the effort, the disturbance continued for quite some time. To make matters worse, I got very little sleep during my stay due to a combination of wedding noise, loud guests, and children running around above my room sounding as though they were jumping off furniture. One of the wedding groups was openly drinking in an area where alcohol was apparently not permitted, while music and noise continued well into the evening. I made multiple complaints, and while I was told staff spoke with those involved, nothing meaningfully changed. Guests who are sensitive to noise or need a quiet environment should absolutely keep this in mind before booking. Housekeeping was another area where my experience fell short of expectations. I spoke with 2 different employees and requested that my room be serviced later in the day due to my schedule. Both assured me it would be handled. However, when I returned that evening, the room had not been cleaned. The trash had accumulated, I was out of fresh towels, and I had to contact the front desk multiple times before reaching someone. After a long day away from the property, this irritated me. I also felt the property was marketed in a misleading way. The booking photos make it appear as though you're staying at a large historic waterfront resort. In reality, a real estate developer has built numerous Florida-style condominiums and oddly placed residential homes throughout the surrounding property. Much of this development is conveniently omitted from the booking photos. While the hotel building itself is beautiful, the actual setting is far different from what is portrayed online. The surrounding condos and residential buildings significantly diminish the historic atmosphere, and I found the marketing misleading. The room itself was comfortable enough, but I did notice a few cleanliness concerns upon arrival, including crumbs and areas that appeared to have been overlooked during preparation for check-in. It's also worth noting that this is not a full-service hotel. Dining options on-site and nearby are somewhat limited. There is a small coffee bar, and guests receive a breakfast basket with items such as croissants and fruit, but there is no room service and only limited food service available. The property has a lot of visual appeal and potential, but the combination of noise issues, inconsistent housekeeping, slow internet, limited responsiveness, and unmet expectations regarding the overall experience left me upset. Having worked with professionals in the hospitality industry for many years, I can honestly say this was one of the poorest guest experiences I have ever encountered. A good night's sleep is one of the most important parts of any hotel stay, and that was not my experience here. It's a real shame that this property wasn't preserved in a way that honored its historic character. Instead, much of that character has been overshadowed by the surrounding development, which takes away from what could have been a beautiful landmark. Personally, I wouldn't say here again. Beautiful property, worst service and worst sleep of my life.

Review for Flora 403…read more Before I say anything, we had hundreds of places we could have stayed for this part of our visit and I am so happy we landed on this one. My parents live nearby but do not have enough space for us and our kids and this is a yearly trip we try to get together. They relocated permanently to the area and we wanted to still spend time with them, but not have to be on top of each other. We had a lot of recommendations where to stay and we had heard from other people my parents are friends with who live close to Saint Pete and they had a lot of really nice things to say about the area. We looked at staying at resorts and honestly wanted to be able to have the quiet and not just have access to literally everything at a resort, but still wanted access to everything as far as being close by to do what we wanted within walking distance. After a lot of thought and looking at even other units in this building, we decided this would be the best fit for my husband and I. Everything was clean, we had enough essentials for what we needed and they had even more than we expected. We had umbrellas and chairs to use, and the building itself provides boogie boards and floats that you can use whenever. I was worried because the view didn't look like you had that great of a view of the beach, but this is actually perfect for an extroverted introvert like me who wants to see the beach, but does not want everyone to see me looking at them on the beach. Lol for those who get it you get it. We didn't use the deck right off of the master bedroom, but we did use the other one and we still had plenty of space to view the beach without being in full visibility. That made it very nice for us to enjoy a quiet moments. We communicated we would be a late check in due to driving from Miami for the first part of our trip. No issues. We also communicated that my parents lived close by and might want to bring the kids for a beach day and that was not an issue. They didn't come inside for very long but a lot of times that can be an issue because other people abuse rentals. We absolutely loved the closeness of everything and everyone had a good time. The pool was clean and the building itself was clean. Laundry was easy to get to and people were considerate about it. You are in close proximity to so many things and a lot of beautiful places. We rented bikes from a place. We walked to just south of here. We rode them all the way down to Passé a Grille and we were able to put them in the bike rack just at the end of the entrance to the building. We enjoyed dinner at Don CeSar, but Malio's was our favorite. Crabby Bills was a great place to grab a drink right next door and the outdoor staff is really awesome. We actually watched the World Cup games two days in a row there. They are all locals and have a lot of input and valuable tips where to go and what to do. Brittany regularly works outside and will remember your order like you've been there for years but they are all great. We were able to get the free taxi pick up service that's honestly a glorified golf cart with enclosed windows, but we were able to try so many restaurants and had the most amazing time. After spending so much time researching, and trying to figure out where we wanted to stay as a couple with three teens and our lives, revolving around them, most of the time, this was literally the perfect place. If we had a question, the host was more than willing to help and we loved it so much we contacted her to try to extend our stay by another day and she took time out of her own vacation to contact VRBO and make it happen. I can't really add much more to this, but I will include pictures. My husband pays for it, but I ultimately have the final say and review. I would absolutely stay here again and I'm already figuring out when we can return.
