Best place ever. The views of the beach & ocean don't get any better. Place is very well maintained. We would definitely come here again!

Pool was…read moreoverrun with people (bathing load) and children with loads of floats, coolers, food, paper plates strewn on pool deck, jelly smeared on tables, chip bags left behind and loud music. I've been to the Caprice several times and will not return until pool rules are somewhat enforced. Please know, I enjoy families with children, just not families that are inconsiderate and management that looks the other way. It was at a point that myself and others did not use the pool. On the other hand, my unit was fantastic and the pool person (morning cleanup only) did a great job!

Only room complaint was you can hear the elevator everytime it goes up and down, but if you walk enough miles on the beautiful clean beach your head will hit the pillow and you will be so fast asleep you won't even hear it. You can see a smidgen of the Gulf from the balcony also!!! The pool was sparkly and clean but a tish cool for us. The staff was helpful and nice. The availability of luggage carts, grocery cart for hauling things up was so nice. Within walking distance to all our favorite restaurants...Skidders, Snappers, Baracuda, and Willys. Stay here you won't regret it.

Awesome stay! Highly recommended!…read more We needed a quiet, relaxing vacation where we could bring our dog. Island Paradise delivered. The couple who owns them is super nice and so helpful with our visit. The cottages are nice and you can tell some well-thought effort went into updating them. Everything there was quiet. The pool was nice and the tiki hut made for a nice place to chat with fellow relaxers. The beach is a short five minute walk. With a less-than ten minute walk, you're at John's Pass with shopping, restaurants and bars. We had planned on going to other places while visiting, but we barely left the radius around the cottages.

The villas are perfect for staying for a longer time and everything you could wish for in a kitchen is there. It is extremely clean, very beautifully decorated and just perfect. The hosts (june and Bill) are so friendly and helpful that we felt like family when we left. The other people staying there were also extremely nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. The beach was a short 3 min walk from the cottages and John's Pass was around 5-10 minutes away when walking.

I adore this place!…read more As a new FL transplant, living in Sarasota, I found myself looking for something fun to do on an unexpected long weekend. Luckily, I came across a nice deal at the Plaza Beach and got way more than I expected to out of the experience! The room was nice, updated, and well-appointed. The pool was delightful. Even when crowded, it was still fun and the crowd was always lively and diverse. The bar, bartender, and locals that frequent it were all very welcoming and even more chill. And between the hammocks, Adirondack chairs, umbrellas, beach chairs, and complimentary towels, you are truly taken care of from your room, through the pool, past the volleyball nets, to the beach. My only minor note is that the wifi in the room was pretty wonky and I had trouble getting anything to stream on the TV. But when on a beachfront getaway in St. Pete, watching TV is not a top priority. Luckily the weather was mostly good, so I wasn't stuck inside for too long. As a single traveler, I had a blast. So I can't wait to come back up to share it with family and friends!

It was playful, nostalgic, and effortlessly photogenic without sacrificing comfort. The pool area was the heart of the property with a pool bar, games, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that made you want to stay all day. The staff was genuinely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location couldn't be better. You're just steps from the beach and an easy walk to great restaurants and bars, so once you park, you barely need your car. This isn't just a place to sleep. It's part of the vacation. 13/10, and the kind of hotel that has me rethinking what I'll be booking from now on.
