Thankfully we booked with AirBnb and were able to get immediate remedies such as a partial refund. We will never use this company again and suggest anyone considering be wary.

I've been to the Caprice several times and will not return until pool rules are somewhat enforced. They certainly need to hire younger, fresher, and a much more professional staff who enjoy their jobs, as opposed to the current worn out unhelpful , unhappy staff! {I also noticed that ALL the cleaning staff is only black with the exception of Leon the Maintenance Man, while the rest of the staff is white...I wonder why?? {The office staff, security staff & maintenance staff are all white!!} I must add that the cleaning staff was friendly & professional Compared to the other staff members. With a less-than ten minute walk, you're at John's Pass with shopping, restaurants and bars. This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. The beach was a short 3 min walk from the cottages and John's Pass was around 5-10 minutes away when walking.

I adore this place!…read more As a new FL transplant, living in Sarasota, I found myself looking for something fun to do on an unexpected long weekend. Luckily, I came across a nice deal at the Plaza Beach and got way more than I expected to out of the experience! The room was nice, updated, and well-appointed. The pool was delightful. Even when crowded, it was still fun and the crowd was always lively and diverse. The bar, bartender, and locals that frequent it were all very welcoming and even more chill. And between the hammocks, Adirondack chairs, umbrellas, beach chairs, and complimentary towels, you are truly taken care of from your room, through the pool, past the volleyball nets, to the beach. My only minor note is that the wifi in the room was pretty wonky and I had trouble getting anything to stream on the TV. But when on a beachfront getaway in St. Pete, watching TV is not a top priority. Luckily the weather was mostly good, so I wasn't stuck inside for too long. As a single traveler, I had a blast. So I can't wait to come back up to share it with family and friends!
