They even had a phone protective case for only $2 where I bought mine for about $30! Check out lines weren't too long. Prices on some items were pricey. I was shocked at men's shorts running from a low of $6.99 to as high as $12.99. Simple household items that you can buy from Dollar Tree for $1.25 are priced at $2.99. I won't surprised if they close at some point. We shouldn't forget that everything they sell is 100% profit. Since they are a nonprofit they pay little in taxes. Within the last two months all the old price tags have been replaced with their new increased prices. This store is a big money maker according to the employees.

They have plenty of great items such as : books, clothes for men and women, household goods and extraordinary finds. The store is pretty clean for what it was. The store is a bit small don't get me wrong but it features a lot a lot compared to many other stores. The price is however are unbeatable compared to the big box stores. The windows are nicely displayed and the bulk of the furniture is kept in a separate area. They have very little in the way of clothes. They have a lot of bins of pre-packaged things like a dollar store. Some of the nicer glass pieces are behind glass so if you're like me and you want to pick things up...you can't without assistance. I was able to touch all of the jewelry without assistance which was a nice change, but it was nothing that I was interested in today. The prices were okay, but since I didn't really find anything that caught my eye, it's hard to say. Maybe I'll stop in again to better feel another day.

My main reason for going was to purchase the two vintage Schwinn bicycles. They were advertised, with multiple pictures, on the auctioneer's web site. I arrived early to review the items. Things went downhill soon after my arrival. I registered and went to look for the bicycles. I was then told that the better of the two was pulled from the auction. I was disappointed, but held out hope for the other one. About an hour and a half later i looked over to where the other bike was sitting and noticed it was gone. I asked about the second bicycle and learned that it too was pulled during the auction. I am now livid over the way things were going. I also learned, from other frustrated customers, that other items were pulled, without any notice. Some other issues include the fact that the auctioneer stated that there would be two auction rings. That never happened, which resulted in a very long painstaking auction process. The positives for this auctioneer include adequate staffing and relatively low commission percentage. I promise to upgrade my review, should my next experience be a positive one. However, i must give this auctioneer a big thumbs down for nw.

Charles…read more There were 4 items pulled. 2 bikes which when the customer came up to me and asked where they were at I said right there. He said no they aren't. They were there 45 min ago. , I stopped the auction I was conducting and called everyone that was available including gate security which said yes Casey rolled them out. So I called the owner of the farm. In front of the entire auction attendees the owner admitted he had given them to his sister who they belonged to as a child. He apologised and I told him infront of all the customers he cannot be pulling items on auction day. It is unethical and wrong as well as there is a contract in place. The 2 other items that were pulled were pulled before the auction started and had an attorneyetter attached to the request for the item to be pulled. One item was a furnace and a John Deere mower that were to remain on the property as part of the sale of the property. So please please understand that auctioneer did not do anything unethical or wrong. The seller did. And as always all auction announcements made auction day take precedence over any other prior info. At the start of that auction I stated the I'd mower and furnace were pulled. All auctions are recorded for our protection.

The quality of the chairs are strong and stabled. the only reason I purchased new furniture later in my life, is because my old sets are now out of style. For years I remained friends with Joe, Larry and Shelly (owners of Jethro's). I even worked for them as an accountant during my senior year of high school. This helped me make money to start college. I rung the doorbell and a grumpy old man with glasses came to door. No hello, no verbiage. Either he has a vocal problem or didn't want to be bothered I couldn't figure it out. He reached for a bag I placed on the ground and took it inside. He came back and thought I was going to hand him the 2nd bag which I placed it on the ground for him. A short older guy came to assist and he took the luggage and 3rd bag. He told me to have a nice day but I requested a receipt. The grump man gave it to me. The shorter guy thanked me for the donation. I know these guys volunteer their time. I just can't deal with with rudeness at any age.

I wish they had more hours. But what they have offers enough time for me to shop there. Such a pleasant shopping experience! My Husband luvs the store too & trust me he is not into shopping. We both had a great time! The store is super neat & the prices are low to very fair. Push baskets to shop with. Enough room to browse around. Round racks for clothing so you don't have to be in a narrow isle & in someone's way. Dressing rooms if you need them. The clothes & other items are very nice. Not junk as other stores try to sell & for high prices. The prices are good & reasonable. I go for clothes & more. But they do have a very nice selection of furniture, dishes & house items, toys, shoes, nice coats & much more. This was my first time shopping at this wonderful store. I plan to go back as much as I can. I was lucky to be there when all blue tickets of clothes were only $1! Yes, $1!. You can't even buy anything at a $1 Tree store for $1 anymore! Many people donate nice clothes etc. Also I luv finding different kinds of jackets, coats, tops & more that you do not see in chain stores. The staff is very friendly greeting waiting to get in customers with a cheerful "Good Morning" & so pleasant to deal with. For the holidays I see the store has extended hours. The down side is the regular hours are only 3 weekdays open from 10 am till 4 pm. But I will take it. I am retired so very lucky I can shop here & it is not super far for us to drive to. There is a huge parking lot in the back as well. I can't wait to shop here again. For some time I was shopping at another thrift store & 1 of the volunteers was so unpleasant & mean to me. Mostly the hours, as they are pretty limited, but also parking isn't the best either. Anyway I lucked out and finally got my chance today. Its small, but organized well enough to see most everything. Sort of a mish mash of eras - everything from early 1900's, to 1950's, to a wacky freaking primary coloured bar stool set from the 1980's. Prices aren't cheap, but fair for what the piece is and the condition. I didnt buy anything this time, but I will be back for a second look. There is a sweet tufted leather chair that would be oh so fabulous in my living room.
