I genuinely did not think I would ever be writing this review, especially because just last weekend I had a great experience here with my family. Everything went smoothly, the food was good, and I walked away thinking, "Wow, this place is solid. I should bring people here." So today, I did exactly that. I came here with some coworkers for a going-away dinner for one of them. Between last week and this week, I had actually started building friendships with four of them (which, as an adult, is harder than people admit). I suggested this place confidently because of how good my last visit was. That decision turned out to be a huge mistake. We were seated at 6:30 PM and ordered shortly after. The first red flag: our server did not write anything down. No notepad, no tablet -- just memory. That alone made us nervous, and unfortunately, for good reason. Some food eventually came out -- but not all of it. And the food that did arrive was mostly wrong. Wrong dishes, wrong sides, wrong orders. So now we're in this awkward situation where: * A couple people have incorrect food * A couple people have no food at all * And we're being told the rest is "coming" Second problem: the server barely checked on us. We weren't being updated. We weren't told what was happening. We weren't told the kitchen was behind or that things were being remade. We just sat there watching time pass. At one point, the general manager came over and checked on us, which gave us a little hope. She said she would look into it. She came back and essentially told us... that we were still waiting. No solution. No urgency. No actual fix. Just confirmation that yes, we were still stuck in limbo. So we kept waiting. By 8:30 PM -- two full hours after being seated -- we still did not have all of our food. At that point, the night was dead. This was supposed to be a farewell dinner, not a patience endurance challenge. We finally gave up, asked for our checks, and left -- some of us having eaten the wrong food, some of us having eaten nothing at all. And then came the final insult. After two hours of waiting, wrong orders, missing food, and zero real communication, the grand solution from management was... 20% off. That's it. They didn't comp the meals. They didn't take real responsibility. They didn't say, "This is unacceptable and it's on us." They just knocked a small percentage off the bill and sent us on our way hungry. Now for the part that honestly makes this worse than just a bad dinner: The four coworkers I came with have since basically excommunicated me. I've been removed from the work group chat, they don't talk to me anymore, and all of it traces back to me suggesting this place. First impressions matter, and this restaurant absolutely nuked what should have been a fun, positive night. So yes -- this bad experience followed me back to work. The most frustrating part? I visited this new restaurant over the weekend because I'd heard it just opened and wanted to check it out. The layout is impressive, and the decor is beautiful very Japanese inspired. When we got seated, several different waiters came by our table asking the same questions, and we had to repeat our orders more than once. It felt a bit disorganized, but I understand that since the restaurant is new, they're likely still working on staffing and training. We ordered a few dishes to try. I had the cold noodles, which I personally wouldn't recommend the style was very different and just not to my liking. My partner got the spicy ramen, and he thought it was okay, but not as good as others we've had elsewhere. We also got two appetizers that were both very good. I ordered a lychee martini and it was excellent--definitely recommend that! We also ordered a chicken skewer that never came out, and we ended up canceling it. There's a bar in the restaurant. We'd love to come back and try that area next time, maybe for a casual happy hour (though I'm not sure if they offer happy hour). I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. My husband and I came in for a Monday lunch date, and right from the start, the service was off. We weren't greeted or seated promptly -- instead, we stood by the entrance as one of the servers walked past us and even gave us side glances. When we were finally seated, no one introduced themselves or explained anything about the menu or service. We each ordered one entrée, and I was genuinely excited to try more dishes. After finishing a small portion, I decided to order a miso soup as a light palate cleanser before ordering more food. However, it was extremely difficult to get our server's attention -- she kept rushing past our table without checking in once. When I finally managed to order the miso soup, about 10 minutes later another server came by and tossed the check on our table -- even though we never asked for it. I never received my soup, never got to order more food, and left still hungry. No one refilled our water, checked on us, or even shared their name. Meanwhile, we noticed every other table around us being served attentively -- except ours. As the only non-Korean, interracial couple in the restaurant, it felt very uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and honestly disheartening. I don't usually leave reviews like this, but the poor service made what should've been a nice lunch date a really unpleasant experience. Been here twice now and it's been a lovely experience both times. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, very pretty, and though it's been busy, not super chaotic. Service has also been excellent both times. We were checked on consistently, but not too often, water was always refilled, and food got to the table in great time. If anything on the menu was going to take longer, we were also informed prior to ordering and usually it came out faster than predicted. On to the food! Summary is that everything is delicious, fresh, and well priced (in my opinion) for what you're getting. Standout is the sushi for sure! More detailed reviews tho (it's quite a few things since I've been here twice with different people):/ Truffle udon: The noodles were the PERFECT texture, very bouncy and chewy, no mush anywhere. The flavor is also really good. Very rich and you get a lot in the portion, so this is pretty filling. It's a comforting dish rather than something really complicated or complex. 8/10 Sashimi/Nigiri: On two different occasions I've gotten their sushi. I've tried both the sashimi sampler (appetizer) and the 9 piece nigiri set. Both times, the fish was so fresh! And the cuts are sizable! Sometimes I get nigiri and sashimi and it's so small, but these were nice chunks of fresh fish. Also when you get the nigiri set, each one has a topping, at least when I ordered. The chef who prepared it was so knowledgeable and you can tell by the toppings picked. They complimented the fish so well but still really let the fish be the star of the show. 10/10 Agedashi tofu: I got this as an appetizer. The broth it sits in is very yummy and the tofu is perfectly cooked. The breading on the outside is super light and gives the perfect amount of crunch. It was a very nice, though light, appetizer. Probably wouldn't order again just because there's so much else to try on the menu. 6/10 Takoyaki: Pretty standard takoyaki, no complaints here. They're a good size, and you get a good amount! Very yummy! 7/10 Shoyu ramen: It's a soy sauce based broth so obviously it's gonna be salty. It's just a taaaaad bit too salty for my preference, but my brother loved it. Bowl is on the smaller size, but it's not offensive lol. Just smaller than some other ramen places (bearing in mind this is not a ramen centric restaurant). My brother overall liked his ramen. 7/10 Yakitori set: This was great! You get a skewer of each of their yakitori options, so that includes shishito peppers, chicken meatball, pork belly, pork belly wrapped enoki, chicken thigh, chicken heart, and beef skirt. They are grilled perfectly and the sauce is very light, but flavorful. Favorite of the skewers were the pork wrapped enoki, chicken thigh, and surprisingly, the chicken heart. Seriously, don't get freaked out that it's chicken heart, it's genuinely just another cut of meat. The texture is what makes it stand out. It has a really nice bite to it. Enoki is really the favorite. 9/10 Nabe: My boyfriend got the beef nabe and I got to try a little bit of it. The broth is very flavorful and I love the little like tabletop stove they use to keep the nabe hot at the table. I would definitely get this with a side of rice though. Also, my partner's one complaint was that he wished there was more meat in it vs veggies. As a veggie person myself, it seemed fine, but if you're more of a meat lover, I would either ask for extra beef or choose a meatier dish. The flavor really was so good though. 7/10 read more

The chicken was good, but our typical crispy chicken you can get at any Asian bubble tea store. Ramen was extremely salty almost inedible. It was lunch time when we came. Went on a week nght a couple days ago. Ambience was great, relaxed, not too busy. Got the a la carte for nabe, nice and mild flavors. Chicken karage don was good too. However, service was a bit strange. No one was at the front for a good 3 minutes when we first arrived. Servers were not familiar with alcoholic drinks or deals of the day (they didn't know what a highball was in an izakaya??). I noticed that at one point, all the servers were behind the counter, with just one server serving water in the hall. We waited a long time to pay our check because no one came to check on us, and no one was at the front yet again when we got up to pay at the exit. It turns out there is no bartender during the week so all the servers have to make their own drinks for their own tables (???). I will say, all the servers were very nice and I could tell that they were truly trying their best. I think the management needs to better distribute the team and train servers to be more familiar with the menu. Please get a bartender, it's essential in an izakaya; the poor kids are making multiple happy hour drinks past 9pm while trying to run service, which is making things worse. Decent food, but will advise going only when your schedule is flexible & don't mind poor quality drinks. read more

I checked in at the host stand and told them I would wait for the rest of my dinner party to show up before being seated. They had a sitting area to wait. Spacious and cute. But usually when dining with my sisters I rarely ever need to. I let them do all the ordering. We usually get a pretty decent amount of dishes to all have a try. Usually more than we can all actually eat but who really complains about that. Service was great. I think I heard her make some drink recommendations to my sister. Everything we ordered was delicious. The presentation was beautiful. The sashimi and sushi was fresh. The fried chicken was flavorful and still tender and juicy. The soup that we ordered was really good. Meaty flavor packed broth filled with meat, veggies and came out piping hot. Will definitely be coming back here to try other things on the menu since I never really looked at it. We had so much food we had to pack some to take home. Mostly meat skewers, some chicken and I think either squid or octopus balls. My son gave it a thumbs up since I dont usually eat left overs. I tend to forget they're in the fridge. I never really even got a chance to look at the bill either. I just heard my sister say not too bad. And considering how we order and how often we eat out to try new places. Had to ask a different server if she would refill my water after not being checked on for 20 minutes by my primary server (the server who refilled my water was very nice).
