What a fun and delicious time spent with one of my fellow Momma besties. Our fave was the gising gising and salmon sisig. The menu here changes. We were able to easily set up reservations online. They accept walk-ins as well. Our drinks and dessert deff tasty. My favorite part (outside of the food itself) was the vibes our server and owner gave. So kind and genuine. I loved hearing the history behind the entrees. The visual storytelling... chefs kiss! They're going to be leaving the Durango supper club location soon. Can't wait to see the next location and have another delicious meal.

Istorya. This pop-up was such a gem. Located at the Social Club, its residency was extended indefinitely, bcause they're that great! The Filipino creative fusion dishes were insanely delicious -- super unique, but still stayed true to those traditional flavors that make Filipino food so special. Nothing felt overdone or "fusion for the sake of fusion." It was thoughtful, balanced, and honestly just really satisfying. I had the chance to meet the chef, and he was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more special. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind what he's creating. The ambience was amazing -- cozy, intimate, and the kind of place you want to linger in. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing between two people, so you can actually try multiple dishes (which you will want to do). The service was amazing and super attentive. The staff was very engaging, and from the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. The energy of the whole place was just great. I really hope this pop-up becomes wildly successful and eventually opens a brick-and-mortar location so we can enjoy this food permanently -- because it absolutely deserves a long-term home. Overall, I'm 100% going back. If you get the chance to go, don't even think twice -- just go hungry.

Best Filipino food I've ever tasted. By the time we realized we forgot to take pictures the food was fully inhaled. Kare kare and noodles with chili oil were phenomenal. We sat at the bar and got to see Chef Diohbo put our plates together with so much care, just looking at the chef's work made me conclude the food will slap before I even tried it and I wasn't wrong. Wish we could try everything but will come back for more.

I've seen this location on rainbow a few times and thought to stop by to see how the food is. Location is right by a little strip mall with cafe zupas and a yogurtland right next to it. We came on a tuesday afternoon for a lunch and parking was easy to find. We were greeted quickly and sat at a booth area. The smell of the food hits you as you walk in so that was a good sign. They served us water quickly as we looked at the menu. I ordered the sizzling pares which was tender marinated beef cubes with a side of garlic rice and an egg on top. My mom ordered the grilled pork chop and lemongrass chicken with the garlic rice. All of our dishes came with a fried egg on top. Everything was very flavorful. Highlight was the sizzling pares with the rice and egg. With the sweet sauce mixed in with the rice, it was perfection. We had a little bit of leftovers for lunch the next day and left satisfied. One thing that could be improved was the cleanliness. The booth that we were seated at was by a wooden panel. When the sunlight hits it at an angle, you could see the oil streaks and it didn't seem too clean. Floors were a bit dirty too. A little bit more cleanliness would make the atmosphere better. We would come again!

I ordered the beef nilaga, a traditional Filipino beef soup, and enjoyed having the opportunity to find this dish locally and other common dishes, but they have their version of some dishes that I have also not tried before. Most of the staff appeared to be Vietnamese, so if you order a Filipino dish, they may not always be familiar with all the ingredients or details, which can occasionally lead to some confusion due to a language barrier. I can't fully speak to the authenticity of either cuisine, but it's nice to have a comfortable sit-down restaurant that offers more Filipino food options. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a wide variety of dishes to choose from. While there were a few minor shortcomings, I appreciate having another place in the area that highlights Filipino cuisine.

Drove up and parked right away. Yup we actually went by for breakfast. Good thing too because wow, this spot is so good! There were plenty of tables and they also have other items for sale. Surprisingly, they were not only offering breakfast items for their buffet. Pretty crazy but better for us lol. My favs were the tuyo, kare kare, sinigang and dinuguan. Anything we ate was really good though. Del helped us out. She was super nice and so was the cook, Jayson. Thank you! Support this local spot that has been around for 17 years!

I saw a fly on the buffet line, and I also observed a woman in the kitchen handling and preparing food without wearing gloves. Seeing that immediately killed my appetite. Food safety and sanitation are non-negotiable for me. The buffet selection also felt disappointing. There weren't any new dishes compared to my first visit, and several items seemed to be made with lower-quality ingredients than I remembered. The service was just as disappointing. I came during lunch, and several employees were sitting together at a table eating with their hands while customers were walking around needing assistance. No one seemed interested in checking on guests or providing service. It gave the impression that staff meals were a higher priority than the paying customers. I really wanted to like this place because my first experience was positive, but this visit changed my opinion completely. Between the sanitation concerns, lackluster food, and poor customer service, I won't be returning and unfortunately can't recommend it.

Here's why this ended up being a one-star experience for us: They call themselves "Manila BBQ," but there was no barbecue available. They also advertise as a seafood grill, yet there were no seafood options during our visit. There's a $4 upcharge for lechon belly, but no other pork dishes were offered--no pork adobo, no lechon kawali. If you're charging extra for a premium item, there should at least be other standard pork options included. So instead of 20 dollars it was was $24 per person.  Drinks are not included in the $24 price. Overall, the food quality was mediocre and didn't justify the cost. There's an automatic service charge of 18% for a party of plus an additional 3% credit card fee. We don't mind paying more for good food and a satisfying experience, but this just didn't deliver. Sadly, we won't be coming back.
