Someone recommended this Filipino buffet spot, and I really liked the concept -- small bowls so you can sample as many dishes as you want, plus unlimited rice. It's a great idea in theory. I tried a handful of dishes and the salmon sinigang was the only one I truly enjoyed -- flavorful and well done. Unfortunately, most of the other entrees fell flat. Some dishes were bland, others were soggy, and overall the flavors just didn't come through the way Filipino food usually does. They also didn't offer much in terms of desserts, which was a bit disappointing for a buffet. One positive note: the lady assisting us was very kind and welcoming. One of my favorite Filipino dishes is kare kare and I was pleased by how tender the meat was. Pictured is also palabok, calabasa, sinangag (garlic fried rice), a fried egg, and a bowl of sinigang. There aren't any buffet style Filipino restaurants in NYC (to my knowledge), so this was definitely an experience. My friend really wanted to try this place out, seeing posts on social media, so we went for lunch. It was highly disappointing. It's a buffet so as you go through the line, there's no signage for what the dishes are. Fine if they don't have signage but be friendly when asked what something is! I know Filipino food well but can't always distinguish what the meat in a dish is. When asking any one of the 3 women working behind the line, they are snarky and if they do answer your question, it's quick and they walk away so if you had another question you will have to get their attention agin. And mind you, it wasn't busy when we went. Also, at least two of the women would take food from the trays, and we're eating right behind the line. In my video you can even see it. Food is mediocre at best. Too many of similar type items (Kaldereta) with difference being one is beef, the other is beef and liver. I can't even confirm if it was "Kaldereta"because again, the woman mumbled her answer between bites of food and walking away. The food that was ok to me was the Pancit and Tocino. The "Kaldereta" had good flavor but had way too many fatty pieces of meat. My friend liked the fish and the Adobo Chicken. The Lumpia is a separate charge as well as several other items they have a list of. On social media they showed desserts but we saw zero and when we asked we never even got an answer! The employees are rude in my opinion, more interested in eating themselves. There was a guy bussing tables who was the only friendly person. The place is very simple and clean enough. I did like how they have little bowls you can use for the food, so sauces don't all run together. They also sell Filipino/Asian grocery type items as well as packaged desserts. Food was decent for the price, but the service completely ruined the experience. When we came in to get our food, the two women refilling the trays were loudly chatting and using really inappropriate language, full of curse words in Tagalog. There were several Filipino diners in the restaurant who could clearly understand what they were saying, and it was honestly uncomfortable to listen to while eating. At one point, my mom politely mentioned that it wasn't nice to place a pan directly on top of the food being served, not only is it disrespectful, but it's also a food safety concern. Instead of taking the feedback kindly, the staff started laughing and mocking her about it afterward. So I think I have been to every Filipino buffet so far as of this writing. Which is 3. Lol. Inside is just a very simple and basic seats. Nothing to spectacular. It does show wear and tear but then again this place has been around for a while. What's nice there is always someone next to the buffet table to either assist you or help you out if your disabled. Pay first. Then grab as much food as you want. Plain and simple. If you like super soft chairs (which I am not) then sit in the booths which also sits a little low so good for tall people. If you like more firm chairs. Sit in the middle selection of chairs. Off to the side they have a mini very mini store that has snacks from the Philippines and if you know you know. When it comes to taste this is my favorite as also it has more selections. And at $17.99 their is another place that is cheaper but it's near Henderson. Back in Vegas again, and my wife and I wanted to show her mom this good AYCE Filipino buffet. We came on a Tuesday, and even though the sign on the door said 'OPEN', the door was locked with no visible way to look inside. After a bit of confusion, a worker same to the door (must have heard the door rattle) to let us in. We later realized that the reason for the locked door was the homeless woman outside who greeted us while we were heading inside. Regulars just must know what to do, since it was quite busy once we got inside. You pay first, with the lunch buffet being $17.99 per person, and a can of soda being $2. There was quite a selection of dishes. Because it was so busy, the food was turning over fast: good to keep the dishes fresher, but bad since once a particular dish ran out, the replacement was usually a different dish. So if you want something, you need to grab as much as you want, since by the time you come back, it might be gone and not be replaced. This happened with the fried bangus and the deep fried bagbagis, both of which I wish I had gotten when originally available. The food seemed to taste better than the last time I came. read more

The reason why I'm giving a 4 star and not a 5 is just because some days it takes a little longer to get your table cleared of the plates and bowls after you finished and go for your next plate. The vibe of the place could also use updating to make it feel less grungy. So many people complaining that the food has no taste, I don't know if their taste buds are not working properly or it actually had no taste over a year ago, but I can say for the 4 times we came here over the past 4 months the food was always good. It's been a while since I've had Filipino buffet and I'm so glad my family was up for it. We made our way from the Strip to Chinatown. I live on Oahu, just visited Seattle and San Francisco so the drive, no traffic, wide lanes was a delight getting to Nanay Gloria's. The parking lot was practically empty. Not sure if it was because it was too early. But the other restaurants were not open either. Nanay Gloria occupies two restaurants. When we walked in, there were three other families enjoying breakfast. Before you eat, you pay first, $17.99/person. We were heading to Valley of Fire, so we knew we had to eat. Because it was breakfast at first, they still had garlic fried rice and a few poached eggs left. Now if they had eggplant, I would've been in heaven and if they did, that would be the first to go. Everything there was yummy. Sadly, I got full too fast and I didn't feel like I ate much. But while waiting for my family to finish up, I had noticed that every time they replaced a pan, it was with a different item. And they brought out pork and vegetable lumpia. Although I was full, I made sure to grab and hide a few in my purse for a snack later. And, they had the cantaloupe drink. But we saw it when we were done eating and too full to order. Been here many times and it seems pretty consistent. This spot is with a small shopping center. Parking can be rough at times but when we went, it wasn't an issue. Typical fast food filipino spot. Loved their option for a buffet. You really cannot beat their price. Their food has quality which doesn't happen often when you go to buffets. Flavorful and not too oily or greasy. Great selection that includes the typical dishes like sinigan (which is always my favorite and was so good here), Adobe, kalderata, bisteak, Kare Karen, etc. But thise are just some of maybe 20 dishes or more that they offer. "Please pay first" is the first sign taped to the buffet shield. (See pic) So note, you'll have to walk to the right and walk to register and wait for a staff person to meet you. To the eye, it's very casual with the ambience of a back kitchen with drink boxes under the register, clutter on top of buffet and packaged foods on a side table with shelves of food products (which tbh not sure if it's the restaurants stock or for customer purchase, as you walk to the bathroom. Simply looks cluttered. The main room was furnished with basic tables and chairs and worn out booths on the perimeter of the rooms. The main room had a video of karaoke like singing on one of the TV. This room has the L shaped hot buffet serving displays. I'm going to guess maybe 20 dishes were offered. I saw obvious ones like fried chicken skin, fried fish heads, adobo, cooked banana pieces, steam rice, beef stew (caldereta) and mixed veggie. In addition, the small bowls and metal utensils are in the other (main) room next to the huge rice cooker The side room (on the left side) was an all dining area with another TV, water dispenser, styrofoam cups, "real" plates, an array of sauces and condiments , along with a lidded metal bucket filled with ice. Customers left their dirty plates, bowls and styrofoam cups and metal utensils on the table. The poor worker had to push his cart to pick up the dirty items. It is self serve seating, so waiting for the tables to be cleaned can be a wait, so patience will be a virtue here. The buffet stations were filled well however no labels to identify the dishes. It wasn't just me asking, but I notice others asking. The staff of ladies were not rude but reacted uninterested to answer. I had to ask twice to get a reply. It was a gamble to guess what we had, especially when it came to the sauce or stew type dish offerings. It would be a better guest experience to label the dishes offered especially for visitors who'd like to experience Filipino food. The food was pretty descent tasting. i didn't think it was salty. Later in the evening, a few ppl in my tribe said it was bc their tongue was swelling. Another one said, they felt swelling (and outside temp was not hot at all) For me, only a few items stood out: warm coconut w/ yam dessert, beef caldereta and a bean sprout veggie mix. Their are few tasty ones but again I don't know the names. I was hoping for the peanut butter strew (kare kare), a form of "lechon" or fried or grilled pork belly, fried mini egg rolls (Shanghai lumpia) and my newly discovered Filipino noodle dish Palabok. Don't laugh but bc of Jollibee, I tried palabok for the first x and have been a palabok tasting crazy foodie when I'm in a Filipino themed restaurant. So no Kare Kare, palabok or mini lumpia's :( One thing I notice is that there are no fillers. Fillers are salads or bread. But I'm glad for that. I think drinks are extra. I saw boxes of canned soda (see pic by the side of buffet on the floor) but I was not asked if I wanted to add a soda. They do have two water dispensers in the side room though. I wasn't going to bother leaving a review for this place but because I was so bothered by the lumpia, I had to. If you're not expecting a lot here, it's an ok place to eat. It's a buffet only, so don't expect to take leftovers home. Everything I had did taste good (enough) here. The place needs a revamp. You can tell that management doesn't exactly care about presentation. But my biggest gripe is we ordered everyone's favorite, lumpia shanghai, to go. $25 for 50 pieces doesn't sound bad compared to other places. When we finally opened it at home, the size of each piece was decent. But after biting into a few, we realized it was a sham. It's the least bit of lumpia filler I have ever seen. They took shrinkflation to another level. I mean dear God, the meat represents maybe 10% of each piece. Most disappointing lumpia I have ever experienced. See photos. The place is small compared to typical buffet places but there's a lot to choose from. My favorite was the dinuguan. So good! I also had a yellow curry chicken ulam. I've never tried that Filipino dish but it was good! I also had the bistek, like everything else I tried, it was really good! The price is super reasonable too. You wanna get super local with filipino food? I found out about this place only because I discovered this one dessert at a potluck. It was called Maja Blanca or something like that but it's a coconut dish. I hate coconuts but loved it so much, I hauled my butt there just to go get some. My daughter wanted to have a last minute party and specifically wanted pancit and lumpia. Thankful to Nanay Gloria for a last minute order! I called late night before they closed and they were able to put in an order for a party tray of pancit and lumpia for pick up the next day. I also requested no shrimp due to allergy and they offered chicken only for the pancit and pork only lumpia. We came in to pick up the order and we did have to wait a little bit after our scheduled pick up time but it was ok since they were very apologetic and nice about us being patient. They have catering packages in addition to their a la carte party trays. It is also a restaurant that offers a buffet! Pancit was good and the medium tray was the perfect size . The first few times we went were great. Not too busy, customer service was good. But for some reason, our visit this past Saturday 11/29/25 was different. First, super busy. I get that we got there at prime time (12pm) and the holiday weekend. Anyway, the reason behind my 1 star is the customer service. I was right by the register getting some food. An older lady, let's just call her Tita, grabbed a pair of tongs from the fish dish to grab a different item. She was literally on me touching my arm. I guess she doesn't know personal space. I let it slide since I was getting some soup. Then she leaves the tongs intended for the fish, on the other item. Ok no big deal, happens all the time right? So I grab the tongs she left on the different dish so I can grab some fish, and one of the workers smacks my hand and yanks the tongs from my hand and slams it on the other dish. I told her she was rude. I told her why she took it out her anger on me when it was the older lady next to me that messed up the tongs. She ignored me and walked away. Not sure if she's mad at me, the tongs, or that it was just super busy. Regardless, that's not how you treat a paying customer. I will NEVER return to this Filipino buffet because of this interaction. I couldn't tell who it was because they all look a like and wore the same black outfit. Ayce Filipino food! My friend is not familiar with this type if food before so I'm introducing him to it. The food was somewhat familiar to me being I grew up with neighbors and friends I've worked with that cooked this type of food. I was a little disappointed because just like any home cooking things are not quite the same as I have envisioned. There is a good amount of selections to choose from and they are usually over a heater so it is hot. The prices are great for an all You can eat restaurant and definitely worth it! My family was craving filipino food in Vegas. This was about 10 minutes from the strip. It was buffet style. The beef steak was a little tough. I didn't care for the tosino. The sinigang was not sour enough. The kare kare didnt have the peanut butter taste but it had the color. I did like the fried tofu with pork. The dishes had a lot of veggies but we did come early. I like that they had mini bowls you can pull to put some of the dishes since they have broth/sauce. Place was pretty busy so people must be craving filipino food? read more

We took a chance on Nanay Gloria and we are glad that we did. They offer a full buffet of all Filipino favorites!!! We have since gone back with family members. They have everything from chicken adobo to bangus to pancit to ginatan. The service is self serve. The staff are there but do not really interact other than helping with your initial order/transaction. It's a good size and very clean.
