They had some interesting flavors and we were able to try some samples. I opted for a scoop of apple pie and a scoop of sea salt caramel. Unlike other ice cream, where the caramel is hard, this ice cream had gooey caramel. The apple pie had pieces of apple and crispy bits of crust in it. They were both delicious! If you don't believe me, go try it. On my first visit, the sweet staffer put a paper towel on the counter and provided generous samples of each flavor that piqued my interest. I tried all the cheesy flavors: cheddar, white cheddar, mac and cheese, parmesan and garlic, etc. My work friend tried the green apple and caramel and has purchased multiple bags of the combo -- she swears it's amazing. Sweet blends are the most expensive, savory starts around $3 for a mini bag, and butter is cheaper (see the photo I posted of the menu board for full pricing). They produce the popcorn in their South Richmond location and bring it up during weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the downtown office workers. It's right in the middle of a bunch of lunch restaurants, so there's no reason not to stop in to grab an afternoon snack. [They opened about two months ago, so it's still quite new.] I'm sure I'll continue to return on lunch breaks. The white cheddar is my favorite, and if my waistline and wallet would agree, I'd eat that stuff daily. So glad to know this novel shop is around! Such a cool addition to the downtown area.

Thankfully I went in at a good time, because apparently they prefer you call in to order the minis since they need to be machine sealed. I would have gotten the sampler pack, but it only had half the flavors I would eat. In any case the staff was super helpful and friendly. And everything is super affordable, the minis were about $2/pack. I tasted some new flavors while I was there. Mexican street corn is my go to, of course sold out that day. The double butter was too salty for my taste, but all the flavors i tried were delicious. The butter beer, chicken & waffles, and biscuits & gravy were my new faves.

I was excited when I stumbled upon them at the DMV Coffee and Chocolate Festival. I am starting from my least favorite to the best. This is my opinion and based on my taste buds. 17 Salt and Vinegar - I'm not too fond of how vinegar smells. 16 Spicy Cheddar - It was too much heat for me. 15 Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel - Good, but it made me thirsty. 14 Lammar's Mix - A combo of sweet and savory, but the spicy overpowers the sweet. 13 Key Lime - Refreshing flavor. 12 Loaded Baked Potato - I don't taste the flavors. 11 Cheddar & sour cream - I wish it had more sour cream flavoring 10 Buttery White Cheddar - You taste the butter first, then the cheddar 9 Cheddar - cheesy goodness. 8 Confetti - It doesn't look like it should work, but it does. We headed out early Saturday morning to find this retail space. It's not clearly marked but Scoops2U is also Royal Popcorn. When you see the building marked 5410, go to the door marked Scoops2U. They recently opened up the front office space but their warehouse has been around for over 20 years. Their business is primarily selling ice cream for private events. The friendly gentleman in the office took our order and said he could put it together in a matter of minutes. We placed a small order and said we would return later. When we arrived, our order was ready and those big bags of goodness were tempting to just pop open before heading to the car. I sampled a few bits from the desk and could tell that they were going to be awesome. I'm hoping that the kids at my niece's laser tag party will appreciate these bags of cheddar, kettle corn, and plain popcorn. Pricing is very reasonable at $5-$7 a bag. I'll definitely be adding these goodies to my party foods.
