Never fly this airline. It will only depress you. Anger you. Age you. Frustrate you. Pain you. Make you cry. It is the worst airline on the planet run by the worst people. If you do not take this review seriously and you do choose to fly them, then do not complain when the trip breaks you. You have nobody but yourself to blame. You have been warned. There are so many options. And if it means you pay a little extra with another airline then trust me that's money very well spent. Peace of mind, comfort, and professionalism is well worth paying a bit more for. Again, do not fly this airline. read more

I recently bought a flight , round trip with layover in Rome. I was looking for a better deal and the price was competitive. They are punctual and every part of the flight was on time. I bought economy so there was not much leg room but that was expected. The food was so so but they had really good wine. The crew was polite. So basically I got what I paid for and got safely to where I wanted to go. I would use them again. read more

We were on the way home from Santorini. First flight from the Island to Athens went smoothly. 30 minutes flight on the board of discount airlines. ITA was going to take us home (NYC) thru Rome. Lady checking us in (4 hours to the flight) for some reason tried to put us on the earlier flight in case our flight will be delayed. She was on the phone but her older colleague advised her not to bother. We had one hour between the flights in Rome and our flight wasn't delayed. We took it as a good fortune. Then things turned to not so good. First was a problem with getting bus to pick us up (not an airline fault) then we were sitting on the plane for over an hour to take off. Pilot apologized and promised to try to make time. We landed in Rome at the time of departure of our NY flight. Nobody waited for us and gave us any direction where to go or what to do. Me and my wife weren't alone. There was Nevada track and field team and their coaches with us. About 25 people together. We were running crazy. Our ITA flight to NYC wasn't listed on the screen. There was Delta flight scheduled to departure at the same time. We run to that gate. Long run. We got there and we were told that flight was delayed and we are actually early. We showed them our boarding passes. It made us happy and relaxed.... We thought Delta being partner with ITA ... we were in the right spot. This flight was scheduled at exactly the same time. Unfortunately we were wrong.Minutes later we were told that our ITA flight it's departing from the other gate. We got there to see maintenance lady cleaning the desk. Nobody was waiting for us. They had flight manifest and knew 25 passengers were missing and why! Nobody there. Our plane was sitting still next to the gate. Door closed. Different airline folks next door told us where to find ITA people. Well. ... when we got to ITA stuff they told us we are late and we need to go to the place in the middle of the airport to reschedule our trip home. Plane was still sitting at the gate! When we got to the rescheduling people they couldn't understand our frustration. Actually two ladies sitting there got personal and showed anger. We needed to get to NYC the same day. I needed to go to work next day and Nevada people had to make connections flight from JFK. It was 4 pm in Rome. No good. The only one lady (third one. The youngest one) showed real interest in helping us out. They started to argue between each other at one point. I thought we are going to witness a fight between them. Eventually... me and my wife were told the only way we were going to get to NY is next morning flight. Ok... it is what it is. They offered a hotel and taxi to get there and back. They told us where to go to get a cab. On the way there ... (thank God) we stopped to use the restroom. That's the place where the youngest lady from rescheduling people found us. She told us that we were given wrong directions and taxi company name. She walked us the opposite way. She told my wife she wanted to help us but didn't want to embarrass two other employees who took our passports (!!!). Trip to the hotel took about 40 minutes. We were surprised cuz hotel looked filthy and neighborhood wasn't great. We've been in the Rome before. Our room had broken refrigerator and AC wasn't working properly. It was hot summer day. We were told dinner was included. Great. We love Italian food. We took short walk around hotel. Nothing there except a lot of trash everywhere. Hotel staff told us dinner will be ready at 9pm. Ok. Few times they told us restaurant is busy and (at 11pm) reception lady told me she will bring it to the room. No problem. We are easy people. Few minutes later she showed up with two plates. We got cold leftovers from refrigerator... some zucchini, string beans and spinach from the can.I couldn't believe. It looked like an insult. I returned plates. I would prefer to choose and pay for my food and hotel so my wife would not have to go thru this. There was no place at 12 pm to get food there and she was too tired and upset to go to different hotel. Next day ... we ask (at the airport) if ITA is using one hotel to book passengers who missed their flights. The answer was no. The use any available hotel. They have agency to do so. I guess the ITA personnel wanted to punish us for trying to get home on time. read more

customer service is horrible they changed the type of airplane for my flight that didnt have premium economy and offered me business class for 300euroes more I agreed and when I got the email it was changed to economy called customer service and keep telling me someone will call me i am still waiting read more

Pretty normal legroom and seat comfort compared to other regular service airlines (versus budget airlines). Their headquarters is located at London Heathrow with substantial representation in flights out of London Gatwick. At JFK their flights depart/arrive to terminals 8, having moved since 2022 from terminal 7. They don't have exclusive gates and have flights located in both concourses B and C. The waiting areas at some of the gates in terminal 8 could use more seating, it gets pretty crowded before departure with lots of people standing in the walkways. British Airways is part of oneworld airline alliance which means they have codeshare flights and you can earn points across different airlines if you sign up for their frequent flyer program. The points can be redeemed for flights or discounts on flights depending on the specific airline. You can also accrue points (albeit slowly) via purchases if you sign up for their associated credit card. The 15 member airlines are Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Air, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines. Most of these fly out of terminal 8 at JFK.

The staff at the check in counter are very friendly, and answers my questions about luggage transfer. Flight departs on time and the crews are very friendly as well, the foods on board are delicious, however the entertainment system is a set back. During our flight the system was shut down for around 20 mins before it was restored, and when we are above Mongolia, the flight map in my entertainment system and few nearby passengers' flight map won't load up, overall a pleasant flight. I will consider flying with China Southern again in the future when go to China if the price beats other airlines like this time.
