I followed all procedures in advance to travel with my cats. Before my trip: I received an official email (April 26, 2026) confirming the conditions for pet transportation. I contacted the call center and was explicitly told that my pets were approved. I relied on this information in good faith, especially because calls are stated to be recorded for security purposes. At the airport, however, everything changed. I was denied proper handling and support, and the approval I had been given was suddenly treated as if it never existed. I was told there was no record of my request or authorization in the system. This left me in an extremely stressful situation, with my pets and my travel at risk, despite having done everything correctly beforehand. To make matters worse: My itinerary was accepted and processed without any restriction at the time of booking. The service was allowed, confirmed, and never flagged as invalid before my travel date. Only at the airport -- when I had no real alternatives -- did this issue arise. Now, LATAM claims that the service does not apply because part of the trip involved another airline. But this directly contradicts: The prior confirmation I received The fact that the system allowed and processed my request The complete lack of warning or enforcement before the day of travel This is not just miscommunication -- this is a failure of responsibility and accountability. If your policy did not allow this, then: Why was the service approved? Why was I told everything was confirmed? Why was I not informed clearly before arriving at the airport? Passengers should not be punished for relying on the airline's own confirmations. I have all documentation, emails, and records that contradict LATAM's current position. This situation caused: Severe emotional stress Disruption of my travel plans Risk and discomfort for my animals I am demanding: A full internal investigation, including call recordings A clear explanation of these inconsistencies Accountability for the misinformation provided Proper resolution for the damages caused If this is not addressed seriously, I will escalate this through consumer protection authorities and make this case widely known. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago.
