WOW!! Is the a gem to North Ridgeville, there is truly nothing around it like this!! It's a simple cute cafe - simple decor, tables for 2, a cute little patio when in season, and the nicest staff I have ever encountered!! Their menu is pretty big, so good luck picking from everything because they are all good! They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, & dessert - coffees, drinks, pastries, gelato, salads, pastas, subs, etc!!!! The owner (I believe his name is Benny) makes all the food. Homemade noodles & all!! His mother even roasts the coffee beans herself in Italy and sends them over to him here!!!! (No I'm not kidding) .... To make it even better his wife bakes all the delicious AND BEAUTIFUL treats on display!! - they truly LOVE what they do here!! Me and my dad split the Italian sub & the pasta bolognese ...... and WOW!!! Phenomenal... seriously both dishes were so good we cleaned both plates!!!!! We got a little cheese cake to split a many pastries to enjoy at home... even two days later the pasteurized were delicious!! I seriously cannot wait to come back here and enjoy another meals! Lovely people doing what they love and truly putting their all in their food is what this place is. Truly a gem to the west side of Cleveland! Drop what you're doing and run to Italian Coffee in North Ridgeville! Stumbled upon this quaint location while traveling for work. Nestled in a quiet plaza, with a sign that says "Italian coffee "I really was not in the mood for coffee, so I almost did not go inside, but then I remembered my love of Italian pastries! Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by three staff members, one or two of whom I would assume were the owners. The woman behind the counter chatted with me about Customer and I landed on the Italian sub! I also took three pastry bars home for my family, the Oreo bar, the pecan bar, and the caramel apple bar. When I tell you, this was hands-down, the best Italian sub I have ever eaten in my life! Absolutely huge portion, loaded with delicious Italian meat, cheese, and topping! Italian Coffee is an Italian bakery and cafe hiding in North Ridgeville. It's an unusual find in this suburb. It's probably the only locally owned cafe with such an extensive menu and European accent. Most other local places are corporate owned so it's nice to have something local. I visited this cafe on a couple of occasions - once in May, and most recently today. AMBIANCE: The cafe can be found in the Northview Plaza right next to CVS. The building has non-permanent sign "Italian Coffee" and a few patio tables outside when in season. Inside you'll find simple decor, one open space, and plenty of tables for two. Here you'll find neutral walls, tulle curtains, and simple decor. The atmosphere is very quiet, perfect for a date or work from home day. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu is extensive - breakfast, sandwiches, bakery items, gelato, salads, bruschetta, and a lot more. The menu is multiple pages. You'll also find plenty of cakes and bakery goodies in the case. Similarly, drink menu has it all - latte, cappuccino, cortado, and more. I tried multiple bakery items here, and coffees. My latest order was Black Coffee ($5), Bacon Egg Croissant ($10.99), and Swiss Roll Almond ($5.99). Coffee was very strong but bitter. Same is true for my iced coffee ordered during previous visits. Croissant was very tasty and savory, clearly quality cheeses and bacon. Definitely can't even compare to other local eateries, very good. There was a hint of something mustard tasting in the sandwich that was a nice touch. Swiss Roll Almond was warmed up for me and berries were added as a surprise. I loved this presentation! The Swiss roll has a lot of filling of something nutty that I just loved. SERVICE: Service is consistently friendly and attentive. All staff greets you immediately upon the entry into the cafe. It's a very pleasant experience. I look forward to stopping at the cafe once again when I'm around the area. Next time I really hope to try a gelato and some more fancy coffee. read more

I didn't love the drink I got to try but would absolutely visit again to try other house made flavors. There's a nice selection of pastries and food. It was my first time visiting Italian Coffee. It was difficult to find. It is tucked away a little of Center Ridge Road. I did pass it and have to go back. I met friends and we were all happy with our order. The pastry selection was nice. The Cortado was delicious. I appreciated the presentation. It always makes a difference when you drink coffee out of a mug, not a cardboard/plastic cup. The seating area was roomy. It was not that busy. Some people were in and out as we enjoyed our coffee. This is by far the best coffee shop in Ohio and beyond! Authentic cappuccino FINALLY, served in a REAL CUP AND SAUCER, FINALLY! Pastries are made in house, yes by one very talent lovely lady! The owner cooks with a lot of PASSION you can just tell by the detail and quality of the dishes that come out of that kitchen! My ham and egg croissant was out of this world, the hummus is superb as well! Patronize this fantastic establishment because we need more quality and passion put in what we eat when we go out! Love this place so much! We were greeted the second we walked in and both workers we talked to were so helpful and kind. My husband and I ordered two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches the first time we tried Italian Coffee and naturally came back the next two days to try more options. I was very excited for the sugar free syrup options they have available (vanilla and brown sugar). The iced sugar free vanilla latte I ordered was one of the best and my husband really enjoyed the cappuccino. We recently came back from Italy and this fulfilled our craving! I'm new to North Ridgeville after relocating from California, and I've been on the hunt for a local coffee shop that truly delivers on both coffee and pastries. I've tried a few spots around town that were fine, but nothing that really stood out. I am so glad I stopped into Italian Coffee today. The atmosphere is adorable and instantly reminded me of a cozy café you would stumble upon in a hip neighborhood in Los Angeles. Warm, inviting, and full of charm. The coffee was perfetto. I ordered a cortado, and it was expertly made, smooth, balanced, and exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered a breakfast croissant, which was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. I grabbed a few pastries for the road, but ended up enjoying my croissant and coffee at the café because it was just that good. I could not resist following a recommendation from the lovely woman behind the counter and took home a slice of crème brûlée cake for later. That cake deserves its own praise. The sponge was perfectly executed, the flavors were rich and balanced, and there was an incredible crunch in the middle and on top. Honestly, it may be one of the best slices of cake I have ever had. While enjoying my coffee, I had the chance to chat with the owner and chef, who clearly has a deep passion for what he does. He personally imports and selects ingredients from Italy. The coffee and flour are Italian, and they even make fresh, homemade Italian pasta every single day. I cannot wait to come back and try it. In fact, I loved this place so much that I went back a second time the same day to pick up a couple more pastries to bring to a friend's dinner. The selection of pastries, coffee, and fresh pasta is impressive, and everything is made with care and authenticity. This place deserves a much higher rating. What a pleasant surprise to see this European cafe/bakery right here in my hometown....and right next to Ron the Barber and my doctor's office! Benny and Lydia, the owners are friendly, helpful and amazing in the kitchen. Their menu is quite extensive for just the two of them. I asked if they made their donuts the woman said yes, then why were the cold and stale, I had a cheese danish that was also stale, My husband and I were so dissapointed we like giving new businesses in our area our business but this business will not be there long at this rate. I have been here twice now, both times we got the Caesar Salad with Chicken. It was enough for the two of us to share, it was very fresh the chicken was perfectly seasoned.
