Terrible they had me pay for what I wanted done. Then they said I was no longer covered and refused to give my money back. Total scam

I brought my laptop in with a battery header issue on the motherboard and they charged me $100 just to tell me that can't repair it. I already knew the issue, I just wanted to see if they could do anything about it, not charge me for nothing. I then brought it to Riley over at Computer Reboot and he fully repaired my laptop by installing a new motherboard and replacing the battery and charged me much less. Also only took 2 days! Embarrassing business by ITech. Do not recommend if you need anything done that isn't stupid Apple. read more

Techs did not know how to reset my Apple ID. I got home and my 16 year old daughter was able to do it in under a minute.

Make sure they give you a price for the work you need done before they run an $80 diagnostic test. I've taken my computer here for all it's repairs. I'd get told different prices for the same job a couple times. I'd only recommend if you have apple care read more

Zero stars. Avoid at all costs. ITech downgraded to junk status IMO. Apple should (and hopefully will) drop its affiliation with iTech. Defying Apple tech support's protocol, iTech management insists on charging for a repair to a defective power button on a new iPhone 13 Pro Max that remains under warranty. ITech management states that because the stuck power button can be fixed temporarily with a liquid solution, the warranty cannot be honored. Apple tech support disagrees and sent me back to iTech for a replacement. ITech management still refuses to properly remedy the problem. The phone is pristine and immaculate in every other way besides the defective side power button. This is a $1200 defective iPhone and iTech refuses to hold up its end of the bargain with Apple tech support or its service protocols & responsibilities. Shame on this business. Good citizens of Cedar Valley, please beware of this shady outfit. Do yourself a huge favor, skip this place and go elsewhere. read more

My elderly mother really messed up her iphone good when she was visiting from out of town. She took it to this place to get fix and they fixed what ever problem it was in a quick second. They were do friendly and curtious and did not treat her like the idiot that she is Thank you itech! read more

Pretty disappointed considering I had heard great things about this place. The charger port to my PC broke so I took it in to get repaired. After they ran diagnostics, the technician found that my battery "needed replacing" as well even though I have never had any problems with it. I declined as I was mainly concerned about the charging port. I waited 3 weeks for a repair that should only take a few hours or even days..I called twice during those 3 weeks to ask what the status of my repair was to which the associates told me the technician would call me back to update me (he never did). After picking up my PC, the battery is suddenly shot even though it was working fine before I took it in. Not impressed with the technician's lack of communication and professionalism. read more

I took an iPhone in with a bad camera. Dropped off for them to look at. The "technician" said it was not repairable and that I could buy a new phone there. Bought new phone elsewhere. Gave phone to my son. He took to the phone to a repair shop in Dubuque and they installed a new camera. As far as I am concerned they cost me a lot of money for a new iPhone as they were more interested in selling a new phone and not fixing mine. Would not recommend them for repair anything. read more

I took my 2012 MacPro because it was running slow. They they recommended something akin to a tune up. When it continued running slow after that, they recommended a new hard drive, and they took what I had paid for the prior service off. I continued to have problems, and they took care of them without trying to charge me again. They know what they are doing, but need to understand that many of us do not speak their lingo. read more

While visiting relatives in Iowa I went shopping for cables to attach my Mac laptop to a TV to show pictures from my European trip. I went to a nationally known electronics store in the area (BB) and they sold me the wrong cables. I went to ITech and Ryan sold me exactly what I needed, gave me instructions on how to step the system up and even answered my questons over the phone when I ran into trouble setting things up later in the day. Excellent service.. went in there with and broken iPhone 7 unable too charge, they poked around in my charging port for about 1 minute popped it on the charger and it charged and the "charge" for that service was $0.00 10/10 recommend to all my friends and family. Wrong..the Tech guy worked his magic and it's working just fine now. NO Charge, either. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They do not follow Apple repair procedures which can result in the loss of data or accessories to you apple devices. Recently I took an apple watch in to be examined, they told me they would take a look and call me. They then sent it into apple and I was given a replacement that no longer had the aftermarket screen protector. Per apple's policies they were to notify me before doing anything like this. I could only imagine if this were a phone or laptop, because the data loss could have been much more severe. Instead of offering to fix my problem they just asked me "Well you received a new apple watch right? What's the problem." The problem is that you miss handled my item and failed to have an ounce of customer service when I came back to you with concerns. Is a $30 screen protector really something to throw your customer service away for? read more

Worst customer service I have ever received!!! My iPhone broke and Itech needed to do a diagnostic of the problem...the diagnosis of the problem took an entire day! I had to call them back the next morning and ask what was going on and when I could get my phone back. They informed me that the diagnosis has been done for awhile and that they were sending my phone to the Apple store to get a new one. Thanks for letting me know... In the meantime they did not have any loner phones for me to use until my new phone was shipped to my home. I should have just gone to US Cellular to get this all taken care of immediately and get a loner phone to last me the rest of the week. It has been a week a half and I still have no phone!! Yesterday I received a phone in the mail....an iPhone in a cardboard box (not the proper shipping packaging for a iPhone). Wrong Color. Used. Scratches and Marks. Not acceptable. When I tried to call them asking what this phone was and wondering where my brand new iPhone is I got their voicemail 3 TIMES!!! No one was answering. I called through a different number and they finally answered. I asked for the man that helped me and shipped me the package and he was "unavailable to talk." Next I was put on hold for 5 minutes and then was informed that they shipped me a loner phone rather than my brand new phone. Why would I need a loner phone after a week has gone by...my new iPhone should be here instead of a loner phone. They never once apologized for their mistake. They still have my new phone at their store in Cedar Falls. I demanded that they overnight ship my phone to my home since I do not live in Cedar Falls and they said they "might be able to do that" and it will be in the hands of UPS. They also informed me that the loner phone they sent me cost them $600 and they would not ship MY iPhone for me until I overnight-ed the loner phone I accidentally received and didn't even want. I finally agreed to their terms before I started screaming into the phone and immediately went to the post office to have it shipped....it cost me $17.50 out of my pocket when I did nothing wrong!! My loner phone was shipped back to them and delivered in less than 24 hours. In the meantime I am STILL waiting for my iPhone to get here...even when they said it was overnight-ed to me. Lie. Itech, the "certified Apple store" would be a disgrace to the Apple customer service name. I will never go there again and will tell people to just go to the Apple store in Des Moines or just go through your phone carrier because they do not communicate well with their customers and are not professionals. read more

I would give them 0 Stars if that is at all possible. Took my Macbook Pro in to get fixed when it was under warranty. "We couldn't get the problem that you described to us to produce." So I took it home and it immediately shut off, like it had been doing before I took it in and as they watched me have to restart it in store before they checked it in. Don't take anything in there that is under warranty because they wont want to fix it. I took it in a second time and they couldn't get it to restart again. They didn't want to fix it under warranty because they would rather spend their time fixing stuff where they can make the big bucks. A simple Google search is all they would have had to done. It says right on there that early 2010 Macbook Pros have an issue where the motherboard goes out. But that would be too easy to look at. Thanks for leaving me with a brick. Go to an Apple Store if you want something under warranty to actually get repaired. read more
