a friend with her pup at the tavern bar

I've been in several times, and really enjoy getting my craft beers here. Great variety of stouts on rotation, and they have been great in providing singles to build your own pack. Really nice floor staff who take care of stocking. The Café & shop: The grilled cheese sandwich (we had gouda) is great, I recommend getting the Purity pints here if you want to pick up a pre-packed pint but have your pup with you. Great place to make gift baskets and pick up souvenirs as well. I've picked up 1/2 gallons of Byrne Dairy milk here. The only reason I took a star off is that they don't let you know that the newer membership perks give you 10% off café drinks and other items. The barista this afternoon failed to prompt me and ask if I had a membership, which I did. I didn't get prompted at the bar, either. Perhaps they usually offer memberships and prompt other patrons on the discount, but may not see me as the type to have a membership? I noticed they prompted a white customer, and that's what made me question things. I am often the only visible PoC in this place at any given point, so I may be sensitive to these things here in Upstate NY, especially after years living in Boston and California to provide context. I'm always prompted next door at Triphammer Wines and Spirits, so maybe they don't encourage staff here as much. Otherwise, pretty nice staff, though I miss the friendliest (butch) bartenders who seemed to have moved on. They made the space feel very queer-friendly. AFAIK, it's dog friendly, as I've brought my small dog into the café and tavern without issue. I had also asked staff on separate occasions about their pet policy, and was given approval. Just make sure your pups are well-behaved, leashed, quiet, and don't make a mess (though with the latter, accidents do happen, and the staff was very helpful in aiding cleanup, for which I am grateful).

I was looking for a pretty decent coffee place! This place is really good and has a variety of coffee and different kinds of tea! They also have some yummy homemade chocolate truffles and they tasted sooo good! Not to mention that the chocolate dipped pretzel is dreamy! The mixture of sweet and salt is just delish

Holiday gift card! Cute winter scene!

It's that time of year to buy holiday gifts for my team. We are working remote and don't know when we will return to conduct our business in person. I celebrate the work they are doing throughout the year and at this time of year I give them a small token of my appreciation. Perhaps this year more than past years, it was important to me to support a local small business especially due to COVID. I called yesterday to buy 25 gift cards at $20 each. The person who took my call said she would have them ready when I could come in. I explained that I would be running a couple of errands and then I would be in. When I arrived I was greeted warmly and my order was ready. I just had to pay for them. Service with a great attitude and the attention to detail is appreciated. I'm certain she was smiling but with masks on you can't see it but you most certainly could feel the warm energy. I've shopped here several times and I've had great experiences. From their veggie panini to their vegan blueberry scone to their white chocolate raspberry scone (not vegan) I've enjoyed their food offerings and their hot lattes. During Covid I've appreciated their safety precautions and the guidelines they are following. Additionally, I'm amazed at the variety of items for sale in the small store. I'm thinking stocking stuffers and gifts for friends. While always a strong supporter of locally owned businesses, I will continue to buy local. It was a great experience and I will be back soon! Now I've got to get busy mailing them.

Coffee/Espresso bar closes at 4pm...Seriously? Guess who will never come here for coffee even before 4pm?

I was not in the right here. Over the past 5-6 years the wifi has gotten much better, and the ambiance is, and has always been great :). Thank you ICC

A glass of Pét-Nat from Osmote made for a great start; I'm a huge fan of this winery. Service was decent, and the food came out impressively fast. The patio was lovely, if a touch noisy thanks to the busy street nearby. We shared the broccoli to start, and it didn't disappoint. Naturally, the Thai Green Curry was a must-try -- and a good call it was. Only downside: the portions ran on the small side.

This time (Jul 2026) was like our visit a couple of years ago. The menu was rather short, and we didnt see many middle-of-the-road or ordinary comfort-food offerings. Their local sourdough bread appetizer was fresh and nicely flavored, and we chose the fresh olive oil side just because it's so luscious. We could have had chive-butter. The marinated olives were flavorful and a little spicy. Their NY-cheese board had a tasty selection of soft and hard cheeses. The salads had choices of a chutney-paneer based mix, which was refreshingly creative. And we liked the Farmstand berry-cherry goat-cheese almond salad. These were all appealing. Chickpea salad or stew, tofu or salmon over steamed veggies, or smoked-trout open-face tartine sandwich, each sounded good, but we didnt bite. None of the mains called to us. I guess we just felt that none of those menu items screamed out we-gotta-come-to-this-restaurant. The food tasted like just homemade and fresh, but not exceptional. The food was ok, no complaints, but not a big thrill.
