    Rosemary salt and plain

We went to Collegetown Bagels downtown; as I am with the ultimate bagel teenager. And wow - it was good! My only minor complaint is that there is soooo much cream cheese on the bagels - which of course could be a good thing for most people! I went for a rosemary salt bagel with plain cream cheese and it was so very, very, good. Just right. And my granddaughter went for a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese and couldn't even eat it all! I think the reason I was able to is that I went for water w/the bagel as opposed to a latte. It was quite good - and I'm sorry that I didn't get a pic of the "wheel of bagels" that was over the space where you order! It was fun, good service, and I kind of wish I could have sat for while.

CTB is great! Yummy sandwiches and pastries and great staff and prices! I always like my visits here there's lots of things to try and tons of breakfast or lunch options. There is a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. Great place and well worth the visit!

A huge bagel shop with merchandises, order area and a bar area. We just went for bagels but I can imagine it being a fun place to hang out with some wines and beers that they also sell. I am usually not a huge fan of bagel, but the one that I got with bacon, cheese, egg and hash brown inside just really hit the spot for a perfect breakfast.

On a busy Saturday in September we popped into CT be down on the commons. Nice large space with outdoor seating. They now have beer on tap and happy hour specials. We had a very friendly fast service and enjoyed our happy hour beers at some outdoor seating. Will definitely be back next time we are in Ithaca

Petition to change CTB into Collegetown Booze because the bagels here are NOT it--dense edible hockey pucks. However, they have great desserts, alcohol, and coffee drinks. Get their cheesecakes n choco mice. The pics I attached are of a chocolate mouse, and some beer that I picked out because it represented Leo and Leo season is my fave time of year. (No, I'm not a Leo. ) The beer was good, I'm just not into fruity beers (always been more of a Guinness gyal.)

    Collegetown Bagels. Having fun.

Collegetown Bagels is still a great place! Lots of great bagel sandwiches and new desserts. Also a great place to hang out and enjoy being in Ithaca.

Long Island wheat bagel with jalapeño cream cheese

Got a Long Island wheat bagel toasted with jalapeño cream cheese and I was pretty disappointed. The cream cheese was sooo salty. Yes, I may be picky because I'm from NYC but I had to scrape off the cream cheese because of the salt. The bagel itself was solid but I was confused because I had no idea what a Long Island Wheat Bagel was -- so I was surprised to see sesame seeds. It was okay, not dry, but nothing special. Disappointed because I use to frequent CTB 15 years ago as a college kid. I guess things change! Maybe I'll try the original location by college town next time.

When you first walk into the shop, the crates on the lighting definitely catch your eye. Loved the aesthetic of the place and the chalkboard menu. There was a limited amount of indoor seating, but my friends and I found a table outdoors. I ordered the Sweet Rachel Sandwich. I ordered the same sandwich at Ithaca Bakery (sister company?) and the pumpernickel bread was rock hard, I learned not to make that mistake again. The sandwich had a generous amount of turkey in it and I'm a big fan of the Muenster cheese. The barista in the coffee area gave me the incorrect coffee order, but claimed it was correct. She was not interested in remaking my drink correctly so unfortunately, I just threw the drink out. A couple friends also had errors with their sandwiches and one order came out 20 minutes after the rest of ours. So many friends recommended stopping by Collegetown Bagels, but it did not live up to the hype and had to take a couple stars away due to our experience.

Took an adventure to Ithaca this past Saturday as my partner had never been! I knew Collegetown Bagel was on our must-eat list, and I am glad we headed here for lunch. This location has great outdoor seating for Covid times, and of course the options are plentiful. 30+ sandwich varieties, alcohol, coffees, pastries, grab and go - whatever lunch food you need, this CTB location has it. That being said, if a bagel cafe could be personified as chaotic evil, this is IT. My anxiety was through the roof from the moment I walked in to the moment I was enjoying my bagel sam on the sidewalk with my pup. There's approximately 40 different pieces of signage all vying for your attention. Four different places to order or pay or order coffee drinks or order booze? YES! Unreadable menu? You bet. Panic ordering? Of course. The staff was pretty preoccupied with socializing with one another as opposed to providing direction, but I will say that I enjoyed my tuna melt and everything came out super quick. I wouldn't recommend the rosemary salt bagel with the tuna melt, though the sodium explosion did give me the boost I needed to get through out next planned hike. Overall, a good respite from the more crowded Ithaca commons restaurants and lots of nice shade on a sunny day.

Ham that I found in my vegetarian sandwich ...

Wanted to cap our trip with a good breakfast bagel sandwich. I'm not usually prone to anxiety but the ordering system has left me with lingering jitters. I won't go into it because others have included the details in their reviews. I ordered the California Sunrise sandwich with a Vanilla Latte and my partner got the Lox. After ordering we had a wait (yes it's busy but we anticipated this). When I received our items I noticed how tiny my packaged sandwich was. I opened it to find the main ingredient (eggs...) missing. I went back in and waited behind 4 parties in the ordering line to notify the girl taking orders. She was nice and confused that such a mistake would happen. She spoke with the sandwich makers and let me know they were fixing this. I noticed they could've just thrown in a fresh egg into my bagel but instead remade the whole thing. I feel like they were mad at me for their own mistake. Not only did I get a worse off sandwich (stale bagel, no flavor, flat overcooked egg), but it had a sizable piece of ham in it. I'm a vegetarian but not as strict as my parents so I didn't go back to address this as the first round of mistakes was unpleasant enough. The vanilla latte was not drinkable and tasted of syrup only. And all this cost $30! 2 stars only because my partners lox was edible.

There are 3 Collegetown Bagels in Ithaca. I ordered the avocado toast super and unfortunately was not a fan. It had chipotle aioli which did not pair well with the avocado (in my opinion) and round egg whites that they use for their breakfast sandwiches. I don't think avocado toast is their specialty, so I would just stick with getting a bagel sandwich if you choose to go here for breakfast. My husband ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and he seemed to enjoy it. We ordered online and it was ready by the time we got there given such a short drive! I would order here again and give it another chance, but I would try something different.

The hand-drawn menus all around the establishment are beautiful but the food and coffee is not that good. Service is fast, though.

We went on a Monday, so it was completely empty, which only made it feel more like a secret hideaway for people who appreciate a little offbeat charm. Absolutely -- preferably on a night where there's more life, and maybe I'll finally try the kava :)

It has calming properties that help people be more social similar to alcohol but without the negative effects. It does taste pretty bitter and it has a numbing sensation (similar to sichuan peppercorns) so their flavored options are recommended for first-timers. The apple cider version was pretty good. I did feel the effect, but did I love it? Honestly, not sure. It felt a bit weird. But even if I decide not to try kava again, their tea was also really good and the owner is a super nice and interesting guy. People who come here are looking for something different, so give it a shot! The inside definitely looks like it used to be an elk's lounge or something. But overall, it's a chill and relaxed space with good vibes.

I visited their location just off the north end of the Cornell University campus. It can easily be missed due to the small signage outside the shop, but if you keep a look out for the exclamation point logo on the side of the building, it's easier to locate. They sell a variety of their coffee blends and quite a few pastries. It's such a small place that they do not have any tables to enjoy your food or drink purchase, so grab and go is pretty much your only choice. Service was quick and friendly. We got an Americano, a mocha, and a piece of their coffee cake. While none of them may win any awards, they were a solid substitute for Starbucks which doesn't have much of a presence in town (plus you're sporting a local business). While I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit Gimme! Coffee, it's worth a stop if you're in the area and in need of a caffeine fix.
