Recently our pet sitter through Critter Sitters retired and we met with our new sitter one time. Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. The only "policy" I see enforced or followed here is poor customer service.

This is a long overdue review. I just happened to be scrolling for a specific text and pulled up…read moreold text exchanges with Karen from my days in Atlanta. And realized I owe this fantastic person a review. A very long story short, in 2015 I found myself in temporary housing after a move back to Atlanta to start a new job. It was a very difficult situation with two rescue dogs that suffered from anxiety/separation issues. The day prior my daytime pet arrangements had fallen through. I also had work travel imminent. I was in a panic and massively stressed. The same day I called Karen, she showed up to meet me and the two pups. They took to her immediately, even my ultra scared/shy guy who shivered and shook around people. She confidentially handled them, kindly calmed my anxiety over the situation and had it under control. She could double as a therapist!!! The next day while I was at work all went totally fine with their walk. I even received text photos with details of how it went. The pups were happy, I was relieved of stress and life suddenly became simpler. For simplicity sake I've glossed over a very trying and rough time in life. But for Karen and her team it would not have turned out so well. With a world of gratitude and thanks, I HIGHLY recommend.

The staff are dog owners themselves, not only do they understand the details of caring for a pet, they really adore animals. We recently returned from a trip. Our sitter was AMAZING! While we were away, she gave us updates the entire time with photos and took our energetic lab on long hikes. Our cat was given lots of head scratches and tummy rubs. We came home to a couple of chilled out, happy healthy babies. It's priceless to be able to depend on Buckhead Paws for a worry free get-away. They truly are the best, and we have had some experiences!

Gus is…read morea "special needs" dog in that he's a rescue dog that's not fond of too many people or other pets. He's a loner until he decides he likes you, then you're in! Over the years, the B&B family have gotten to know him and they all have varying levels of comfort with him, Sophie being the stand out and could have easily replaced me as his mom! Despite Gus's lack of interest in most beings that aren't a tennis ball, everyone makes a concerted effort to get to know Gus and his quirks, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience! When there was an issue with another dog, not started by Gus, the B&B family immediately let me know and we solved the issue together, again with their team being absolute rockstars in care for Gus's small wounds before I could get back to him. I mention this story because there's always someone on a review site for doggy daycare and boarding with a bad experience who talks about it, but doesn't go into the detail of how the company made it right. Bark & Board have become trusted advisors and custodians to my dog for 4 years, and we cannot thank them enough for giving Gus a safe, loving, and comfortable experience for over 4 years, and will continue to do so and care for my little buddy. For anyone without a "special needs" dog, they will love your pet like their own and will get much more out of the themed days, photos & videos, "paw-gress" reports. But if your pet is a little more like Gus, rest assured, they will be in great hands!

The facility and the staff were absolutely amazing for our two Great Dane boys. They would match the play group with their personality and activity, which they would come home tired and happy from a fun day. They also loved every staff member and were always happy to see them when they arrive! One of our pups had surgery and couldn't stay home after the first couple weeks due to our work, but their "Day and Play" program is exceptional for needing to be away from other dogs until medically cleared. Despite being alone, he had a buddy throughout the day for low-level play time and enrichment to keep him busy. We highly recommend taking your dogs to Central Bark in Atlanta! We honestly wish we could've picked them up and take them with us to our new home destination. Even if your dog can't be with other dogs for some reason, they will not be bored! We miss them dearly!

We started with puppy assessment and then the no-commitment month of daycare, and Zara absolutely loved it. Given that this was a membership based program and I had to kore or less commit to a day, I took some time to sign up but finally gave in. We even enrolled her in circuit training to get all her energy out when she's there. A few notes: * pickup and drop off is a breeze, as the reception is always well staffed even with a constant flow of people. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. * the facility is clean, staff are friendly and professional and they have a lot of play areas for the dogs * circuit training is amazing. Zara loved it.. we got a detailed report and videos and she looked like she was enjoying herself to the max. * it's been easy to adjust Zara's days as needed through a phone call or email. Since you are charged every week, you can either ask them to fit you in on another day that week if your schedule changes or just have that credit build up - to use for daycare, grooming or boarding. * they offer personal training as well if you want them to help you out with some behaviors, commands etc. Overall, we really like this place. The staff knows Zara when they see her and she is excited to go to CBA. We've even gotten her on to two days a week since she likes it so much. Btw: they have some parking spots around their facility but a lot of place to park on the street (it's not busy so that works out) especially for drop off/pick up at the busy times. They also offer grooming services and a mini store where you can get tags, treats etc.
