It's In The Sauce is just good BBQ. Their sauce is delicous and tangy. I've had their tri tip, pulled pork and ribs. Man, their ribs are great! The smokiness penetrates into the meat and really gives the ribs a great flavor. The meat pulls right off the bone. Both their tri tip and pulled pork is tender and juicy. I love their baked beans. These are some of the best baked beans I've ever had. The mac and cheese feels like a warm hug each time a spoonful enters your mouth and tantalizes your tastebuds. I always get a hot link a la carte as well. You can never go wrong with a good quality hot link. The lunch portions are big, and I always have left overs for a tasty snack later on. If you ever get the chance to visit their food truck I would highly recommend it. Luckily, I work right down the street from their main building, so I stop by about every other week during my lunch break. Their main building is only open for take out orders from 10 AM - 3 PM on Thursdays & Fridays, so plan accordingly. read more

He introduced me to this, and I was instantly hooked with this food. We follow them everywhere. We love It's in the sauce Wayne and his family are so welcoming and accommodating to everyone. You truly feel like you are apart of the family in your moms kitchen with a home cooked meal. Wayne cooks the best bbq, he truly loves what he does. We were so impressed we canceled the food for our wedding, and paid extra to have Wayne cater for us. He was such a big hit at our wedding people lined up for 3 servings. Not a fan. I ordered the Texas special plate with Cali-Tex meat (Tri tip and briskit), chicken with macaroni and cheese and garlic bread for $15. The macaroni was burned and worse than the stuff you get at a school. Honestly how do you screw up macaroni and cheese? The garlic bread was soggy. The Cali-tex meat was paper thin and tasted terrible. The only decent thing on my plate was the chicken. Texas style food they say, if this is what Texas has to offer, then I am forgetting the Alamo. Well that being said, about the only thing barbecue is in their name. 1/2 of a soggy hot dog bun filled with sliced roast beef, supposed to be tri-tip but too tough for that. Ordered a chopped pulled pork sandwich, which was served on a cold, tasteless, buy-at-a-grocery-store hot dog bun. The pork was dry and tasteless. The baked beans tasted like they came from a can. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac...the flavor of the Mac was good, but as someone else mentioned the Mac is burned in some spots (not sure how, but not digging it) the sandwich was okay. Seemed to lack good BBQ flavor within the meat. And the bread they use got super soggy super quick. Definitely not meant for a pulled pork sandwich. Paid $11 since it was across from Ford where my car was being serviced. Next time I will walk to Wood Ranch for BBQ food. They are way better and only slightly more expensive. read more

This food truck has been frequenting Point Mugu about twice a month so far. I have only eaten the pulled pork sandwich, which I would HIGHLY recommend!
