The burger was flavorless and the texture was all wrong, the chocolate milk shake had no chocolate and the fries were just okay. So so good! Had the corn burritos and they were so delicious. Lots of beans, cooked crunchy but not overdone. Lots of cheese too. We ordered the sauce on the side and dipped. I tried the chicken tostada and it too was great. Lots of beans and chicken. Chicken was good and not dry. The sauce on the tostada was nice, not too hot but very flavorful. In fact, I liked this sauce more than the corn burrito sauce. The cb sauce was a little too sweet for me but it had good rich flavor. I agree with a previous reviewer. Girl at the window was great and does have a dynamite smile. They were super busy but she handled it well. Definitely needs a raise and paid vacation. Make sure to bring some cash. Tips not taken via credit cards. I had the Pastrami Sandwich again with cheese only because I can't get enough of it. Its that good. I had the worst breakfast burrito of my life here. And I have had a ton around Ventura. First they are huge but that did not matter. I threw it in the trash. It tasted like stale/sour almost off food and could not determine what it was but the whole thing was disgusting. Bland as hell too not that it mattered. So $15 in the trash. And I do NOT recommend. I just had one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life, and I'm old. I wanted their version of a western bacon cheeseburger, what they call an Old Town burger, but it seemed to only come as a combo. So I ended up with a burger, a huge amount of thick, crinkle cut fries and a nice size drink for $15.99. Most expensive thing on the menu except for the 12 pc Wings at $19.99. See menu pic. The burger was good because of 1) the style, a bacon cheeseburger, 2) it was well done, I like a bit of char and toast on all of it, meat, bacon, bun, and 3) the size, it usually comes as a double, but I asked for a single to better taste the onion rings, bread and bbq sauce, which worked to also make it as easy to eat as a kid in the backseat eating a McD's happy meal cheeseburger. So, excellent consistent taste, bite after bite, without any slippery, soggy mess or hindrance getting in the way. It was fun. And the service was spot on. Thought the wait would be long, but it wasn't, even with a good amount of people there, and I had asked for well done bacon, I saw in a Yelp pic they could do it that way, but when my burger arrived, it wasn't. I had to pull a Karen and bring it back to the window, fearing judgment and reprisal, but the Cook came up and told me he'd take care of it right then, and he did, bringing it back to me smiling, and I smiled too. I should say, I noticed I didn't get a break in price for one patty instead of two, and they had Pepsi, not Coke, and it was really sweet. True, I'm not a big soda drinker, but I'll have a Coke every now and then, and it was never this sweet. Beyond all that, know it's a Drive IN not Drive Thru. Pull up in the small lot, watch out for people walking around and standing by their cars waiting, or park on the curb on either street, it's at the corner of Main and Santa Rosa. There were lots of open spots all around. The outside dining patio is off to the right of the order shack. There were a few people eating there, but I've never felt comfortable on that patio, not sure why, even when it was Fresh Grill which, given the signage on Thompson, seems to have moved to a yet to be opened location there. (I was also surprised to see a little Fresh Grill storefront in Ojai the other day. I'm thinking they may have gone Corporate.) On the left, there is a coffee place with inside tables that shares a kitchen entrance, but otherwise is a different business. The coffee place let us eat in there as it wasn't busy and we each ordered a coffee. We were ready to eat in the car, with YouTube to watch and the sound coming thru the speakers, like an old movie drive in kinda, not really, but someone ended up meeting us there, so the experience would have been interrupted anyway. Thoughts of that incrediburger are already popping into my head, so I'll be back. I'll sit in my car and keep with the drive in theme then. read more

Went yesterday but wasn't able to leave a tip. I felt guilty since....so I went back today ordered a Pepsi and fries so I could, well...so I could see that smile again.....and make sure I was able to throw some cash in the jar. I should've taken a picture of the note on the jar...now I have an excuse to go back tomorrow....don't quote me....but everything you drop in there goes to give girls an opportunity of going to a camp. My experience is not about the food but about the policy. I ordered a breakfast burrito no meat add cheese and they added 2.00 for the cheese and no deduction for the NO meat. Which brought the price to $17 with tax. Burrito with meat is $14 with tax . When I asked if they could just swap the cheese for meat they said no. So I walked to Corrales and got a terrific breakfast burrito with cheese for $10.99. read more

I paid $14 for a pastrami sandwich. I was the only person at the place. It took 15 minutes. The pastrami was luke warm, the Swiss cheese was still refrigerator cold, and the roll was stale. It was the worst pastrami sandwich I've ever had. I ate half and threw the rest away. I had asked for peppers in the sandwich and that part didn't even happen. I love B&J in Saticoy, so my husband and I were so happy this morning when we saw this location had just opened up near our home. Our first experience left much to be desired, but they had just opened and deserve more grace than I gave them while they work out the kinks. The service was phenomenal. The person taking our order jumped to the back to help in the kitchen which was cool to see. The 8pc spicy bbq wings I ordered were so large and packed with flavor. My wife's chili burger filled her up and although she said no cheese, she said it didn't throw off the taste of the chili. An order of medium fries were served in a big bag that could've fed us both. You get lots of food for a really solid price. Someone who got tacos complimented the kitchen that they were bomb. Will definitely be going back to try more on the menu! read more
