Turns out it was a family business, the people who work here are overly friendly and wonderful. The atmosphere is pure industrial park. But lots of indoor seating or you can sit outside by "The Beast" Which is their smoker. On their recommendation I ended up getting the combination brisket and Tri Tip sandwich (the Cali Tex) and a side of coleslaw. The food was excellent served on a bun toasted just right. Plenty of fresh sliced meat with not too much fat. Delicious! By the time I left the place was packed so obviously you know this a hit with the locals. The food is EASILY the best BBQ you can get in all of Ventura county. Amazing Texas style brisket. I usually get a 3 meat plate and always make sure brisket is one of my choices. The tri tip is also great, love the burnt ends and the ribs. The shredded chicken sandwich with a side for $9 is a steal!! They smoke everything in house and you can taste all the love that's put into it. On top of seriously outstanding BBQ the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Got the brisket and tri tip, and couldn't tell the difference. Sauce is great. But scarce. I don't like grey meat. This review is solely based on the service and food quality out of the food truck. I haven't been inside their restaurant as it's closed for the inside portion during this whole thing going on. I'm greeted immediately when I walk up to the window. They take my order quality. The food comes out in a timely manner, can't complain. With that said let's move onto the food! I've tried almost everything on the menu but the desserts. Ribs. seasoned well. Smoked to perfection. Falls off the bone. Great flavor and cooked well. I'd say this alone is worth going for. Especially with the spicy bbq sauce. Hot links. Spicy and grilled well. These are good with the none spicy bbq sauce since the hot links are already spicy. Perfect balance with the normal sauce. The meats were delicious (I think between the four of us we had some of almost every one). We all got different sides to shar! This is my family's go to bbq place. We order takeout for every football game we watch at home together, mainly because my dad is obsessed with their food. We usually order ribs, brisket, tri-tip, mac & cheese, baked beans, hot dogs, bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce. Their bbq sauce really puts it over the top for me.
