Lemon ricotta pancakes
Joe T.

This place has everything you want. Great food, and a great price, with great service. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes, which were huge and very flavorful. We at inside as it was a bit humid and threatening rain, and it has a quaint feeling in there. A great little place if you are visiting the Washington Crossing park.

Wow...The name describes it all...It's Nutts how good the french toast was. I had the peanut butter and banana stuffed french toast. It really is layered between the french toast (makes sense) but it is so delicious. I tasted the lemon ricotta pancakes and they have a very light flavor. Our server checked on us several times and made us feel welcome. If you are looking for a quaint restaurant, this is it.

Family pie with garlic (good)

I've driven by here so often that I think I just ignored it as a family casual ice cream spot. Several friends had mentioned it to me but I still didn't take notice. After enjoying some beverages at a nearby brewery I decided to stop on my way back homeward. My date was in agreement having been there once before. There is a nostalgic feel inside the cute red interior, it brought back thoughts of family vacations and some of the places we had been. There is also a lot of outdoor seating, some under open tents. Based on the reviews I knew to try the tomato pie. As somewhat of snob in this category, I still liked it. The crust was very thin and slightly sweet, sauce was good and the ratio of sauce to cheese was spot on. Would it replace my favs? No, but it doesn't have to with the large variety of other items on the menu. My date tried the vodka rig, and had them add shrimp to it, she enjoyed it too. We finished with ice cream that was better than average. Customer service was friendly and professional, and you can tell that this place gets busy by their demeanor and skills. As a family spot this has something for everybody, plus ice cream at the end! CASH or CHECK only, with an ATM on site. I've heard good things about the fried chicken, so I'll be returning......

We stopped there for dinner after a trip to Peddler's village to see the Christmas lights. We were a group of 8 and ordered a variety of dishes. Service was very good. Food came quickly and was decent. The price was reasonable. Overall, we were mostly happy with our experience.

Awesome Trenton-style tomato pie! Thin and crispy. Fried chicken is super good too! Highly recommend!

First time there and what a blast. If you are looking for casual dining either outside or inside and really good food and outstanding service, this is where you want to go. Lot's of good stuff and some annoying stuff. No reservations! No credit cards. No bar. We were a party of 4 on Saturday night and there were plenty of seating both indoors and outside. I learned to read many years ago so we brought cash and our own bottles. This place will not break the bank.$160 for the four of us and that includes our usual generous gratuity. We arrived at 6 PM and left around 9:30. You bring the food and we'll eat it!

So after an 8 mile run along the Delaware my husband and I need a quick fuel and boy was it delicious! We sat outside and it was perfect. Our waitress was friendly and quick together us coffee and water. My husband had the 3 egg omelet with a side of bacon and I had the spinach and artichoke and feta omelet . Everything was delicious. Coffee was really good! Highly recommend. Definitely go back for the desserts, ice cream and to try the pizza! Only downfall I would say is that it's cash/ check only . ( who carries checks!) In the era of most people using cards, I would say that's a bit of an inconvenience but they do have an ATM .

Chocolate cake w pumpkin and peanut butter ice cream and whipped cream!

Mmmmmm just ate a mint chocolate chip hot fudge sundae!!!! Logan was nice and smiling! Stef, the owner, greets us whenever we are there and sits with us and we enjoy conversation. The place is always packed but Stef always gives us the VIP treatment! Customer service demonstrated 100%!!

When you drive past this place and see Home of the Famous Tomato Pie + best fried chicken... you feel as though you need to stop in, especially on National Fried Chicken Day! I'm glad that we did, because it was a nice and quick experience on our way back home--we had some time to kill and it was just in time for an early dinner. Upon entrance, you're a little taken aback at how the tables and areas seem a little rundown and like it needs a good spring cleaning inside.. I decided not to settle on that and see how the food was, even though the reviews are a bit so so. We were told to seat ourselves wherever we wanted.. we did. Immediately greeted and our orders taken. My daughter ordered the chicken empanadas, and I ordered the fried zucchini, and an order of the cheesesteak eggrolls.. Food came out fresh and quick.. My daughter loved her empanadas! The sour cream, cotija cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes are very plentiful and almost hide the empanadas.. but that made for a very tasty experience. The empanada dough was different in a good way... maybe a corn? My fried zucchini was perfect... egg rolls not so much.. very bland and barely had any filling. Ordered some of the fried chicken on the way out... very pricey at almost $10 for 4 very small wings.. they tasted good enough, but were a bit hard. They serve ice cream, which my daughter ordered and enjoyed.. but she's 10.. it's ice cream. Probably won't return, but it was a decent enough experience.

We drove past all the crowded spots in town and arrived at this more secluded location. They had a small outdoor area with about 4 or 5 tables, so we decided to take advantage of the sunshine. To start, we ordered the calamari and a Greek panzanella salad. Both were delicious, but really loved the sauces that come on/with the calamari. For mains, my husband ordered the meatloaf and I had the lamb burger with beer-battered onion rings. Unfortunately, too full for dessert. Our server was great, didn't catch her name - but she's one of the newest bartenders. She took great care of us and was really helpful with answering our questions, since it was our first time there. The place has a parking lot, but expect Valet at peak times. Regular menu, plus daily specials. Overall, solid neighborhood spot, away from the crowds. Didn't get to look around inside but I'm sure the ambience is nice at night. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered the house salad to share, I got a french onion soup and my husband got the house cut steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. My soup was truly one of the best french onion soups I've ever had and my husband was also very pleased with his meal. The ambiance was dark, moody, but very nice with calming live music. Our waitress was also very kind and attentive. Will likely recommend this place to our friends who have moved into the area.

We will definitely be brining friends back next time. Table next to us ordered chicken fingers...I wanted a taste bc they looked sinfully good. The materials make it look like a public facing pub serving new-american food and beer. I was surprised I had never heard of this place as long as I've lived in the area, and now I know why! If you really want to know what it was like.... Walked in, waited 5 minutes with one to two dozen geriatric sun stroked golfers gawking at my wife (one of three females in the building including the bar tender and one waitress?). Eventually someone in a spiffy polo shirt asked if we are here for "a quick lunch". It was past 5. Anyway, I say "Yea, dinner and some beer.". Now at this point, he does not offer to seat us. Instead he just stands there and looks at us. It was super awkward. Taking the initiative, I ask if we should seat ourselves. He says sure sit anywhere you like. Many of the tables were dirty, and they claim they open at 4pm (so its been just an hour yet..). We managed to sit at a clean table in the middle of the room. Then we waited again. Watched a few more walking viagra commercials try to eye fuck my wife and another girl who had the misfortune of being there. I wink at the wife to signal that we might bag it. Waited some more. Kid started getting cranky. No activity. I see the guy that we originally talked to was still hiding in the corner, clearly he wasn't trying to serve us. No utensils/menu/greeting, no activity etc. There was only one waitress and she was clearly busy trying to pretend that she liked golfers. So we bagged it and left. Other then giving this place a shot I have no regrets about walking out. Not planning to try it again. Would not recommend unless you are the type that needs to drink beer when you tell your family you are golfing.

I wouldn't get the street corn again- it was fine, but it didn't really taste authentic. My sister loved her burger and ate almost the whole thing. She ate the fruit and some fries too. It was definitely a lot of food for her at a reasonable $10.
