    Excellent stuffed clams

I was at my granddaughter's graduation at Hopewell Valley Central high and we decided to try Osteria Procaccini , It was the best move ever after long heated wait for 600kids to get diplomas. It was a beautiful event as to our meal and service was excellent. I had fettuccine Alfredo sausage and Reggiano Parmesan cheese shredded was humongous stuffed clams that were great. This place is a winner all around Service Caesars help with the menu when I asked him a question about how things were prepared. He was on top of. It came out exactly as he said I like to see that. Definitely try this restaurant.

Italian restaurant at Hopewell, NJ Was here Thuraday late lunch around 2:30pm. The restaurant had a plenty of seating with a bar area. There was a construction going on in the back and was noisy and had change our seat. We liked meatball as an appetizer. The mushroom and sausage thin crusted brick pizza was delicious. Romaine salad with feta cheese and tomatoes were little too salty but a good portion. Their lime soda was not too sweet and went well with our meal. We were very full and had left over to bring home. Will be back again.

Nonna Cesina (limp crust, kinda bland)

Came in for a weeknight dinner with a friend. She has recommended this place after being a customer at the former Osteria Procaccini in Princeton. My friend was waiting for me already when I got there, so the host directed me to our table. Our waitress came around in about 5 minutes. I asked for a water and took a look at the menu. The waitress had come back around in about 10 minutes and took ordered for our appetizer and entrees. I still had no water at that point and kindly reminded her that I was waiting for it. Our appetizer of Peach Brûlée and Burrata Bruschetta came out about 10 minutes after ordering. From start to finish, this dish was really bad. The bread that the Bruschetta was on was burnt badly, and the "bruleed" peaches were peaches in syrup from a can. My friend kindly told the waitress that the dish wasn't up to standards, and she took it back in exchange for a Truffle Honey & Ricotta Bruschetta that we requested. Our pizza had come out before our appetizer reorder. I had ordered the Nonna Cesina Pizza. The overall flavor was pretty bland and lacking. The toppings were far too heavy for the crust which made it limp and unable to hold itself together. As we were eating, the new appetizer was brought over. It was better than the first, but it was nothing super unique or special. Overall, this place was pretty much lacking in all of the food categories. Service was OK, and the waitress was doing her best. Regardless, I've tried much better Italian and wouldn't give this one another shot.

    Pesto pomodoro was devine!!!

I love pizza - period! The pizza we had was a specialty one - I picked the most plain one as I don't really go for those w/ lots of toppings. This pizza was called 'pesto pomodoro' and it was covered in diced tomatoes topped w/ pesto and drizzled with balsamic. WOW - a taste orchestra of sensation for the palate & buds! Prior, we started with nice tasty & healthy salad - all spinach leaves w/ blue cheese crumbles and walnuts. Very good and plentiful for the two of us. Lastly, super friendly wait staff, clean and nice decor. It's a shame that I'm so far from Pennington, b/c I think this would be the new pizza 'go to!'

Good pizza in a clean and family-friendly environment! I have come to Osterio Procaccini multiple times and have enjoyed my experience on each occasion. The location in Pennington is somewhat difficult-to-find for the unfamiliar driver like me, but the pizza here is great, as is the service. Personally, I prefer the Red pizzas (with tomato sauce) and my favorite is the Amatriciana, but the wide range of White pizzas available here make it possible to have any kind of authentic Italian pizza you want. The stone hearth gives the crust a truly smoky aroma and taste, and the main dishes are also good too. When I had the strawberry salad, it tasted a little out of wack in its flavor, perhaps too much cheese or too little dressing. The restaurant itself is very spacious, and it's rarely ever too busy or crowded, even on Saturday nights. The wait staff are very nice, although a bit slow, but everything seems very professional on the face of it. Although it is nothing exceptional, Osteria Procaccini offers a wonderful array of Italian offerings in a very hospitable setting.

We had already devoured some pizza before I remembered to snap some pictures.

You can see the atmosphere has an other-worldly feel just by sitting around writing down an idea or two on anything: and nobody will disturb you, but before you know it, your pizza will be ready, piping hot, fresh from the oven as if someone great Italian and Chicago chefs got together and mingled on succulent tomato discourse! Each area is clean and country--friendly while you sense that many a pizza--lover will be ordering more varieties for a home party on a rainy day: perfect weather for your favorite family and friends to share: or, just by yourself. I also didn't realize that a simple spinach pizza on Alfredo or a plain, old fashioned pizza can taste so delectable, every morsel, every bite! The chefs even speak other fun languages and make enough time to share a funny joke or two! Great food. Good people. Nice ambiance! Whether you are a gourmand, or a gourmet--type, this place shall not disappoint you.

I typically never leave negative reviews because I know how difficult customer service and the…read morerestaurant industry can be. We all have bad days, and I truly understand that. However, after witnessing how my elderly father and his group of friends were treated during lunch on Wednesday afternoon, I felt compelled to share this as constructive feedback. My father and several of his friends, all gentlemen in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, met for lunch. There was some confusion about the final size of the party. Initially, they thought there would be six people, but as more friends arrived, the total ended up being eight or nine. One of the gentlemen immediately apologized for the mistake. I completely understand that changing table arrangements can be frustrating. However, what upset me was the way the hostess handled the situation. The first group of gentlemen had already been seated when additional members of their party arrived. Rather than simply moving them to a larger table, the hostess appeared visibly annoyed and began squeezing more and more chairs around the small round table they were already sitting at, repeatedly reminding them that they had said six people. She rolled her eyes, rushed them along, and spoke to them in a curt manner that made these older gentlemen seem like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. What made the interaction particularly confusing was that the dining room on that side of the restaurant was largely empty at the time, aside from people coming in for takeout slices. From my perspective, there appeared to be plenty of room to comfortably accommodate everyone, which made the frustration and lack of patience all the more surprising. As I dropped my father off, I witnessed this interaction myself. I was honestly shocked by how little grace and patience were shown. When the hostess later laughed it off to me and remarked that "they didn't know how many people there were," I simply replied that mistakes happen and that these are older gentlemen who deserved patience and kindness. Before leaving, I even asked that they please take good care of my father and his friends. When my father returned home, I asked how the lunch went. He mentioned that while the server did her job, she and the hostess were both rather rude throughout the experience. I wasn't present for the entire meal, so I can't speak to every interaction, but I can speak to what I personally witnessed, and it broke my heart. If you have an elderly parent or loved one, you understand why this upset me so much. But honestly, this isn't even about age. No one should be made to feel belittled or like a burden. My father taught me to respect my elders, and I was disappointed to see so little respect shown in return. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the food itself was enjoyed, and thankfully my dad's friends have a wonderful sense of humor. By the end of the day, they were actually laughing together about how mean the ladies had been. But that doesn't change the fact that kindness and patience are just as much a part of hospitality as the food itself. This review is meant as constructive criticism. Service is hard, and everyone can have an off day, but I hope management takes this as an opportunity to remind staff that a little patience and compassion go a long way. For the record, I watched these gentlemen arrive, and there was no complaining, arguing, or rude behavior from them whatsoever, just an honest mistake about the headcount. People remember how you make them feel, and unfortunately, that is what will stay with me most about this visit.

I've been going here for over 15 years so you're gonna have issues occasionally with most places, but I just HATE ignorance. I walked in just now to get my food, it's 9:10 p.m. so the restaurant is basically empty, if not completely. As I walk up I see a guy come from the back, and i announce my name and that I'm here for pickup, silence... I then look down and notice either a customer or server left a VERY LARGE amount of cash rolled up in a reciept, on the customers side of the register. I'm honest, so I let the guy know. He takes it, not even a thank you. We continue the transaction, complete silence. Despite this, I even told him " thank you, have a good night ". Nothing. I can't understand how you can hire people to deal with customers who are this ignorant. Just unreal. I still am giving a 4 star because I really like the food, but this isn't the first time I've dealt with a rude person at register, so I can't brinf nyself to give them a 5. The food is good, prices aren't bad, but hopefully you don't deal with the same guy I just did. Straight ignorance. It wasn't showing up on my account. I called the restaurant and they were able to find and confirm. I don't know if it's an Open Table glitch. They were so accommodating upon arrival when our party went from 9 people to 7. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.
