Before moving into our home in Zephyr Cove, Nevada, we needed window coverings. The trick being, we have an unusual sunroom that is part of the master bedroom. We contacted three window covering companies, two returned the call and one followed up--Paul from The Blind Spot. During our first conversation, we explained the unusual sunroom and Paul immediately had ideas to solve our issues covering the windows and ceiling. We scheduled an appointment, Paul and Noni called to confirm and showed up on time! During the visual inspection, Paul listened to us and our concerns, he understood the issues, then came up with a workable solution to cover our windows and ceiling. They were very prepared and brought many samples for review. The creative solution that Paul and Noni put together was exactly what we envisioned. Upon installation, Paul and Noni again showed up on time and worked very hard on our difficult and unusual installation. In fact, Paul had to fabricate some of the installation brackets. The result is excellent, and the finished work completes the cozy feel of our sunroom and master bedroom. After our sunroom installation, we hired them to cover the remaining windows in our home. He did a exceptional job of finishing out the trim, with many angles to deal with. He has been to my house several times with different window treatments. Paul and Noni are fantastic! We wanted to replace our old, outdated curtains with blinds at our vacation home in South Lake Tahoe. The Blind Spot experience was amazing from the beginning. Paul answered the phone when I first called, two other companies didn't bother to return my call at all. They arrived when they said they would, brought tons of samples, discussed materials and colors and spent time helping us pick out the perfect blinds, their quote was extremely reasonable. When they came to install them, it was like a well oiled machine, they unpacked, installed and cleaned up in a flash, they instructed us in the proper way to open, close and care for the blinds to ensure a long life. They repeatedly told us to not hesitate to call with any questions or concerns. The blinds are beautiful and fit like a glove. Paul and Noni do business out of their house. We called them and scheduled an appointment last minute. Our house was not available to get into but we wanted to get the ball rolling. They strongly advised us to not be in a hurry to make a decision on blinds until we were able to get into the house to actually see what certain shades would look like in the house and in different lighting. Showed us some samples to give us some ideas and scheduled for another time to get to the house. The came over with samples and gathered the measurements and gave us a time that they would be ready. The blinds arrived a few days before they were supposed to and asked about coming over on Sunday (Fathers Day) to install. We accepted as we were excited to have them put in so that we can have some more privacy. He showed up when he said he would and took care of the install with no issues. We were scheduled to move into our house at Christmastime last year, and since we were coming from another state, we needed to have a Reno contractor measure our windows for an online window-covering company. Paul Infantino from The Blind Spot was a local contact for this company, and not only did he take care of the measurements, he also accepted delivery of all the shades and blinds for us. He started installation of the window-coverings on the day we received the keys and started moving into the house, so within two days, everything was finished. There were some problems with the online order, and Paul helped us deal with requesting replacement blinds and shades where necessary and came back to re-install. More recently, since we hadn't chosen anything online for the western slider, Paul and Noni returned to show us a variety of options and take the measurements. We are very happy with the motorized roller shades. They are personable and hard-working people who did a great job for us, and I wish we had ordered all our window-coverings through them instead of using an online service! read more
