This is the 4th time I've eaten here. I am a local and word of bad service or declining food quality can hurt your business. Tonight's service and quality was pretty darn poor. Let's start with service. The talk blonde waitress was quick to take an order. When asked for sugar for the ice tea, 5 minutes went by before she placed a cup of Sweet & Low and walked away saying "I can't find any sugar". She never heard my wife say that she doesn't use Sweet & Low. In dismay we stopped another waitress who quickly brought sugar. However, the blonde waliked by, didn't ask if we needed anymore sugar (didn't say anything) but, she just took the remaining sugar....HOW RUDE! The burgers....the best anywhere. ...the fries were burnt and we're rock hard. But, our "wonderful blonde waitress" never came and asked how anything was....I never ate my burger and instead took it home. Moral of my story, things are declining at this place, we won't be back, and when asked...I will recommend one of the many other GOOD restaurants we have here in Holland. I'm usually a good tipper but today, I left more than she deserved simply because people work hard but, far from my usual. However, I didn't want to leave anything. Whenever I think Holland, I think Itty Bitty. This restaurant has such a good vibe with a vast selection of drinks and quality food. During the summer, it's a great place to come and sit in the open area. We went the other day and the waitress was incredibly accommodating and attentive. Food was great. Service was excruciatingly slow and inattentive. Read the previous reviews and hopped in for a sandwich and beer. We went in at 7pm on a Sunday. We sat on the covered patio which has no air flow and it's a hot day but that was our choice. Waiter was helpful and friendly while we ordered. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and 7 minutes for a sandwich and a burger. Once we got our food delivered by someone other than our waiter, mine was wrong. No one was remotely close to us to ask for help. My burger was cold by the time I could eat it. Then our bill was screwed up too. We were charged for a pitcher on one of the pints. If we would have been notified that they were behind, or apologized to for the excessive wait, it would have been acceptable. If someone would have checked on us once our food was delivered, that would have been better too. If the inside was air conditioned or the outside had some sort of air flow, I might have not been as upset by the wait. With all of the options available, I can't imagine returning. read more

***Vegetarian Review*** 5 stars for Proximity- A group of us came in after spending the day on the lake. We were able to get there minutes after loading up the boat. 3 stars for Environment - I'm a sucker for a dive bar. They're my happy place. The interior is cool. Nothing overstated. You notice some cool decorations after a bit. They're kind of like Easter eggs. The environment could be dramatically increased by giving the bathroom a once over. They're pretty dirty and the toilets are barely attached to the floor. 5 stars for Value - The portions are H-U-G-E!!! Problem is, there's no way of knowing just how comically large the servings are till after you get your food. Didn't realize the food is pretty high end for a food bar. Wished I would have known that before ordering. 2 stars for Vegetarian Friendliness - there's pretty minimal amounts of veggie options. I cobbled together a meal from sides, however it was all fried food. Could have used something a bit healthier/substantial. Some icons on the menus calling out veggie options would be helpful. I get there's probably not a ton of vegetarians in the area though. All in all I anticipate coming back due to they're proximity. Next time I'll seek out some recommendations from the staff on veggie options. read more

This is a great local bar. The food is very good. Nice location for Northside locals. However, I'm wondering when their going to renovate the bathrooms? Food at these prices, require a decent restroom! Also, the front entry needs to be power washed a couple times a week! I think all of us would enjoy this bar a little more!! read more

This is the best "dive bar" in West Michigan. Best burger around and fast, friendly service. Good selection of craft beers and knowledgeable servers who can describe each one. Fish and chips was also very good. You can definitely bring the kids too. When we were there on a recent Saturday, a whole group of little kids were there with their folks. It's tons of fun in the summer when you can sit in the outdoor patio, but since we were there on a cold winter day, it was great to watch a basketball game and have a beer and burger. read more

Itty Bitty described itself perfectly. Definitely 5 Star food. Never been disappointed.

IBB always has a fun menu with a nice variety of traditional and "different" gourmet dishes to satisfy any taste. The menu isn't huge and can change quite often, but includes burgers and pizzas, which or both very good. This is not your typical bar food. I think our favorite thing on the menu that we almost always get is the nachos - the chips they use and toppings are da bomb and great to pair with a few drinks and some live music. The salads are really good, too. The atmosphere is upscale dive bar with mostly 30's and up crowd. We always have fun at the Bitty. read more

This little itty bitty bar was great! We tried it on a fluke based on Yelp! reviews and were so pleased. The food was upscale bar food and exceptionally done. Service was spot on and I wish I remembered our waitress' name because she would make it in a much more top-end steak house with the service she provided us. I loved the Itty Bitty Bar. The kind of place my mom liked. A bar that serves food. Granted it takes awhile to get the food but there is a disclaimer right on the menu that says there will be a wait because everything is made from scratch. I had the burger and it was great. I have had burgers that cost three times that price that weren't as good. My brother had the meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. He said it was good.The menu is quite eclectic for a dive bar. Service was fine. World class gorganzola salad dressing. read more

Being from Chicago and now West Olive we were intrigued by the comments but also got a recommendation from our builders sub contractor who is doing some painting for us. We tried the bone marrow appetizer and it's very rich so good for sharing. I had the pork shank with mango and sweet potato cake and it was awesome. My wife had the meat loaf with roasted garlic, she was very pleased. Atmosphere is casual but the food quality is near fine dining level without the high price. This used to be our favorite place to eat. We would regularly travel the 20 miles to have dinner and drinks. We went twice in the last two weeks and both times waited over an hour for our food, and when the food finally came, it was ice COLD. The waitress apologized and said she "hears that a lot lately." "Five Star Dive Bar" is a great description. The chef is indeed right up there with the best and I've lived in NYC and LA and travel a lot. The Lobster Mac is always a winner. Went there last night with friends and sat in outside bar, bartender greeted us, we asked him I being we have food sensitivities if they can make accommodations, he replied yes. Then a women came to table and began taking order, one of our friends asked for olive oil with her salad and waitress said we don't have olive oil in a rude tone, then as she was taking out order she went to take from the opposite side of the table being now we had to speak over our friends to give orders, my husband wanted a substitution and she shook her head said we don't do any substitutions here, order like it is. Wow, I was so disappointed being I know itty bitty has good food, this server was terrible and very rude. We should have asked for manager, we will try again, but there will be a complaint toward server. read more

The food is amazing. The service is awful. The waitresses are pretty consistently rude. We have a few that have been nice but each time I tell myself I should go back I'm met with service that's way beyond desirable. I had a friend get charged for more drinks than they ordered and the bartender denied it and disputed it. This was at 10 pm...sober...with family. I wish I could love this place but I can't love any place that treats their patrons like they're all idiots. Eat here. Had the daily special last night- Grilled mahi-mahi with white cheddar cauliflower casserole, sautéed green beans and almonds with jalapeño tomato relish and romesco. Every bite was an adventure. Perfectly cooked fish, fresh tomatoes with a hit of fresh basil, tad of heat from the jalapeño, crunchy almonds and fresh green beans and oh the cheddar cauliflower casserole - move over mashed potatoes and forget french fries- this casserole was plate licking good. I'm 65 year old gram who has eaten in Italy, Spain, Germany and Michelin star restaurants in California and this is a meal I will remember. Good to last bite. Attentive service too. Went there for dinner. Spent 30 mins waiting for appetizer, and another 30 mins for entrée. The waitress was friendly and the taste of the food is fine. I am not much for the noisy night life, but I love fine dining! I go for an early dinner or even after church on Sunday. It truly is a 5 star dive! The food is not of the mainstream but not so out there that you wouldn't try it. I haven't had anything that was less than exceptional. The early quiet atmosphere suits me just fine. Itty Bitty used to be a sure thing for great food. IT IS GOING COMPLETELY DOWNHILL!! I ordered fish tacos at the bar last week on a Sunday afternoon - once a tried and true favorite dish. What I received was Dried Fishsticks (really!) on hard and stale tortillas. The tortillas broke when you tried to fold them. Dried out refried beans with a handful of cheese on top. Who serves this?! The bartender was far too busy and preoccupied to ask if the food was okay, and I was too hungry not to eat what parts of it were edible and be on my way. We spend summers in Holland, and live in the Chicago area. Itty Biity Bar is our home away from home! We look forward to each day when they post the evening specials----one fish dish and one butchers choice. It seems each year the dishes get better and better! I personally love how the chef's incorporate the best and freshest ingredients into whatever fish or meat dish they are serving. We love the seasonal menus, too---can't wait to try the new winter menu. We also like the new beer menus that change regularly. The bands are pretty wonderful, too. read more
