I really want to like this place, but unfortunately that's where the good ends. I understand understaffing issues--but we were one of two tables when we arrived. We ordered an olive burger and a chicken strip wrap with fries immediately upon being seated. 35 min later still no food--and only one more party of two came in within that time period. 40 min we got our food--cold burger, and the fries were double fried--very overdone. As was my strips inside my wrap, burned and dry. The bacon was shockingly undercooked. If you've got the time, come for the stuffed mushrooms because they're where it's at! I like the ambiance overall foo--staff is not masked, nor guests when they come in. Just a heads up.

You can go to their website to get on the email list for the password each week or you can go to the host stand at Butch's and ask if there is available seating "downstairs". The two times I've done this, the host always understands. They pick up the phone and call downstairs to see if there's any open spots and let us go down there. There are stairs or you can take the elevator to the basement level. After you've arrived downstairs you can find the door with the black lock symbol and KNOCK THREE TIMES. They will let you in and welcome you to find a seat. They have a water station where you can help yourself and some tables and a couch and bar seating. The menu is pretty fantastic. I haven't had a drink that I dislike yet! The prices are a bit elevated but that's okay for a fancy drink imo. Hope you check out this gem if you're ever in Holland and want to go on a little adventure to find this place! My only complaint is the basement area smells a little funky but inside the bar was fine. But otherwise it's totally amazing and worth the experience! The people working here are great too! So kind'

The five of us all tried something different, from cocktails with absinthe and flaming sugar cubes, to vodka infused fruity drinks, and even a simple red wine. Our bartender had been working here for a couple years, so he knew the specials and was quick with his work. A real mix of customers from a college student to a couple of workmates, our family, and another group of friends further back. It's a small place which makes it cozy but a little hard to get into at times; we had to wait 20 minutes for enough free seats. We'll be back; it was fun!

But never received service like today. We get there there is a table available but they don't seat us there they ask if we're ok sharing the back long table. Sure I don't care. What got me annoyed was when they asked us to move to accommodate a 20 top. Who comes with a group of 20 at 530 expecting to be seated. I understand the motive behind asking us to move, but thought that was really rude. I asked for my bill. No comps. Will I go back no absolutely not. The location is behind the boat storage garage and is almost like a maze to get too. I have tried replacing South Haven as my beach town but Holland will not win, nor will LoLos.

Poor management and what turned into unfriendly vibes. $$$/$$$$ Monday Margarita Special - $5 regular or $8 premium ; add strawberry for $3.00. It was pretty empty outside on a Monday, especially Happy Hour. Happy Hour consisted of a $ amount off on appetizers and margaritas. We got the beef nachos, tempura shrimp, and salad. The 5 regular margaritas total and the food totaled to be $81 between 4 people. Regular Margarita: 9/10 - perfect mix, served in a 12oz plastic cup. Felt like the cup was filled halfway with ice before liquids were poured. I had over a quarter of a cup of icecubes left after 40 minutes of dining. Beef nachos: 8/10 - $17 - feel like there was one ingredient missing. There was queso, pico de gallo, lettuce, peppers, jalapeño and got the protein choice of beef. (Protein choices - beef, chicken or pork) Tempura Shrimp: 7/10 - $22 - Tasted like a japanese hibachi restaurant. The flavors took me home, especially with the picked diced cucumber. I loved the details and plating. There were 5 shrimp on my plate, totaling $4.40 per shrimp. Great flavors and pretty big, just pricey imo for an appetizer. Salad: 9/10 - $15 - the bowl was FILLED. No room to mix well without another plate. Croutons were unfortunately soggy. Dressing was delicious! Best caesar salad I have had in a while. Serving wasn't the greatest. Our waiter was super helpful when we asked the difference between the regular and premium margaritas. We were asked if we needed anything else after our food was served, but not anytime after that. For it barely being busy, I would have appreciated being checked on at least once even if we didn't need anything. We were waiting for her to come over because we were done and waiting for the check. It looked like mainly teen servers running the show with the manager present. (Who I think is?) The manager was sitting with a guest with two dogs. The golden retreiver came over to our table a few times, no bother, just smiles. The other dog was chilling on a chair taking in the paparazzi. When we were finished paying, we walk past the gentleman with the two dogs. I was petting the golden, and my mother was too. There was little conversation exchanged between the gentleman and my mother. After we walk away, my mother looks...confused. She informs me the gentleman said to her "I know you Asians love to gamble." Like. What? We were 2-3 tables away from him, not talking about gambling once.

We had to go around the block multiple times before we found a space behind the parking lot behind the restaurant. When we got into the restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night. It was good but coming from Chicago there are several burgers that I feel are better. Places like Au Chaval & Little Bad Wolf to name a few. My wife ordered a Mediterranean style pizza. Again coming from Chicago the pizza was very average. How can you compare this to Pequods or Lou Malnati? Hops draws a large crowd and really packs the people in. As someone with celiac disease, eating out can be stressful, but when I informed our server, he immediately reassured me that they take cross-contamination seriously and ensure a safe meal. While they do offer outdoor dining, we opted to sit inside, and the service and food were fantastic from start to finish. To drink, I started with the kiwi pineapple margarita--they offer multiple types of rims, and I went with sugar, which was delicious. The summer sangria also sounded amazing, but I stuck with the margarita since it was guaranteed gluten-free. For food, we shared the ricotta with gluten-free toast, and for my main, I had the Beyond Burger on a gluten-free bun with a side of chips that were confirmed to be safely gluten-free. Finding a place that is this accommodating, knowledgeable, and delicious is rare, and it made our trip so much better!

I found myself in Holland at dinnertime and asked Yelp where to find curds. Yelp has delivered. Goog's is an intriguing place. It's attached to a meat market. One of the menu options is to pick a steak from next door and they'll prepare it for you, which is honestly a good deal. Their whole menu is a good deal, honestly, for the quality and quantity you get. The cheese curds satisfied my craving - okay, admittedly, many of them were monterey jack squares, but I didn't want to push them and ask for "all curds" - and they were willing to sub queso dip for the standard ranch. Very nice of them! After that, I was rather full but wanted some nutrition. They prepared a side salad, which isn't on the menu at all - your standard lettuce/tomato/cuke/etc. Again, generous portion at a good price, and very nice of them. Other perks: rotating root beer of the month if you don't want to drink, a ton of customizable burgers. Goog's is really customer-oriented and they want to work with you to get you exactly what you're looking for. Doesn't get more 5-star than that!

Because of her caring attitude, I have bumped up my rating from 3 stars to 4. The atmosphere and vibe is really fun with funky artwork and bright colors everywhere. It's a little noisy but not uncomfortably so, it feels maybe more lively than noisy. The menu was good and varied and I think you'd be hard-pressed not to find something for everyone in your group. We were a group of four and split an appetizer sampler. I enjoyed a local pilsner with my meal as the beer menu was good with a lot to choose from. Our server unfortunately was horrible and developed an attitude with us during our meal when we apparently had the audacity to ask for our waters to be refilled and one of our party received the wrong food item and asked for the one she ordered. After that, the server was snippy and short with us which was a shame on both parts because our experience was hampered and her tip reflected that. The food in general was good but not excellent. I would have given the place 4 stars for the logo (awesome), the vibe and the food but the server knocked a star off. Still worth a visit if you're in Holland especially if you're with a group with varied tastes and picky eaters.

The service was extremely slow, and when we first sat down to eat, it was not busy. It took a while for someone to take our drink orders, then a while after that to order our food. We were told the tator tots had a new seasoning that had lime with it, and that we could get them without the seasoning, so we opted for that. Our meals took a very long time to arrive, and the tator tots had the seasoning on them, lime and tots do not go together. Neither my fiancé or I liked them. We asked to get fries instead, and ate our burgers while we waited. The burgers were great, we both enjoyed them. We waited a while longer for our fries, well after we finished our burgers, and decided to just tell our server to omit them from our order and give us our bill. They did take them off our bill. My fiancé ended up having to go up to the bar to pay, because no one came to our table in the meantime. Overall, just okay. We decided to eat here based on the fact we were staying at the hotel it's in. Also, $1 for a side of ranch and other condiments is a bit pricey, in my opinion.
