Delish! Pretty quick with making food. Steak is pretty bland, but also plain and simple. Hashbrowns were buttery.

Was a line at the door for lunch time service( opened for breakfast and u til 2p). Two of us didn't wait long for seating at counter which was fine. Really extensive menu of many breakfast favorites and lunch terms. Service fast , efficient and courteous. Price really reasonable in diner atmosphere.

Got some of the recommended like the hash brown omelette and the deep fried cinnamon roll. The eggs Benedict was my favorite here. Also got the windmill pancakes which are just regular pancakes so I would pass on that. Definitely recommend the other things we got. It was also like a 30-45 minutes wait to get in but food came fast. Overall, had a great experience.

Worth the wait outside on the sidewalk. Seating is first come first served. After taking in the town and enjoying Tulip Time, we had a quick walk from centennial park over the the windmill. Quick service, constant drink refills, and fantastic food. The cinnamon roll was recommended and is crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The omelet was a unique item. I had turkey bacon as my selection of the meat and it really hit the spot. Plenty of food to share if you wanted. Put this spot on your list.

Everyone needs to dine at Windmill Restaurant at least once in their lives for a stick-to-your-ribs kind of breakfast. You can't go wrong with any option, especially the egg-based dishes and homemade breads...and THE CINNAMON ROLL. It's an icon. Try it deep-fried because you only live once. Also: waiting outside in line is part of the experience. Don't let your impatience get the best of you. You're just minutes away from a meal you won't forget.

We were in Holland to visit Hope College for a tour, and I'm so happy our hotel recommended the Windmill for breakfast. Anna was the sweetest server around, and she took great care of us. This feels like the perfect small town cafe with friendly service, hot coffee, and fresh baked thick cut bread used for their toast and French toast. Prices are great and the food is great - I feel like we found a gem on our short visit. The place fills up quickly so if you're not early you may have to wait...

Love this place. The line looked intimidating but it moves fast. I was here the last day of the Tulip festival so I'm not sure if there is always a line but the 30-35 min went fast. Great food. My only caution is to carefully read the menu. I got the hash brown omelette thinking it was hashbrowns wrapped around an omelette but the hashbrowns were a sub for the eggs. That was my mistake but in case you don't want a pound of potatoes and little protein, be my guest. The homemade bread was my favorite. Such great food

Lovely little restaurant right off of the main Street. Looks like a lot of locals come here but we saw quite a few tourists too. The menu has a lot of options on it. Primarily breakfast but there are some good lunch specials and lunch options. I had the Turkey club and it was very traditional, very good. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable for each of the entrees. Would definitely come back here again.

The pancakes here are just amazing! My daughter loves the pancakes here, shes obsessed. The service here is pretty good, the staff seem really friendly. They had some really good recommendations. The ambiance here was amazing, it might be a little small but its okay! It has a good vibe inside and I love it!

Hearty Breakfast. I had the 2eggs sausage , hash browns and home made bread for toast. So good! especially the hash browns. My friend had the homemade cinnamon buns. He did not leave a crumb. He said it was delicious. Service was excellent. She was friendly and attentive and the place was cute with a friendly atmosphere. It's a small place so you form a line outside the place to see who goes next.

The service was quick but I got the hashbrown omlette and I could barely eat half. It was very bland no amount of salt could help it. It was also covered with grease. The highlight of my meal was the crispy hashbrown bits and the raisin toast that was slathered in so much butter I had to get a napkin to dab some off.

If you are in downtown Holland this is a must go place. They close pretty early (2pm most days) & they go first come first serve, no reservations but if you arrive when it's busy check out the neighboring shops and pop back over! We really enjoyed our visits to the Windmill Restaurant during our vacation. The decor is adorable, service was great and we enjoyed every dish we had. The philly burrito is great, and they do serve breakfast all day - the french toast was delicious!

One of my favorite breakfast spots. Hate to recommend because it already has a wait, but love the hash brown omelet and fried cinnamon roll.

Their menu has a massive selection of GF and GFO items clearly marked, which is always a relief. We visited on a Sunday and joined the online waitlist ahead of time. The wait was about an hour, but as soon as we checked in, we were seated within a few minutes. The inside of the restaurant is really cool with a great retro, 50s-style vibe. The service started a bit slow, as the server took a while to greet us, though she was very polite and apologized for the delay. I started with a fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was absolutely to die for, even if it was a bit pricey at around $7. When ordering the Eggs Benedict, I made sure to tell the server I have Celiac disease. She was very knowledgeable and informed me that they could sub the regular English muffin for a gluten-free one, or use white or whole wheat gluten-free bread. When I asked about the sides, she reassured me that both the hash browns and home-style potatoes are prepared on a dedicated allergy cooktop, so I safely opted for the hash browns. The food did take quite a long time to come out. When it arrived, there were a few inaccuracies--my Benedict came with corned beef instead of ham, and it was served on the gluten-free white toast rather than the GF English muffin I had requested. However, it did come out with a reassuring allergy stick in the food, and because we were so hungry, I didn't question the mix-up. The food itself was excellent. Wrapping up the meal was incredibly convenient since you can pay with Apple Pay right from a QR code on the receipt, and our server even kindly asked if we wanted any drinks to go before we left. Overall, the Celiac protocols and dedicated allergy cooking spaces make this an incredibly safe place to eat. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, and double-check your plate when it arrives!

The food is good, but not usually worth these long wait times imo. Today, was a cloudy and cold Wednesday mid morning. The place was busy, but no long wait times. The food is always good. Everything I've ever eaten on the menu is good... but I have a special affinity for pig 'n the blankets, banket, and any Mexican inspired breakfast item in the menu. Today I had the chorizo Benny. It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. Make sure to peruse their bakery for some goodies to take home. Salud.

Bowerman's on 8th is a love letter to the humble blueberry, written in the language of warm lattes, fresh pastries, and shelves overflowing with jars that seem to bottle summer itself. As someone with a dairy allergy, coffee shops can sometimes feel like places built for everyone else. But here there was kindness in the details--different milk options, thoughtful choices, and the feeling that everyone should be able to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Traveling from out of state, this was one of the places I circled on my map, hoping reality would match the stories. Somehow, it was even better. The blueberry latte was the kind of drink that slows time. Bright and refreshing, sweet without trying too hard, tasting like a morning walk through a Michigan orchard after the rain. Around me were cases filled with treats and shelves stacked with jams, syrups, and every blueberry creation imaginable, each one carrying a little piece of the region's soul. There is something beautiful about a place that chooses one simple thing and perfects it. Bowerman's does not merely sell coffee--it celebrates harvests, local traditions, and the quiet joy of gathering around a table. You leave with a warm cup in your hands, a bag of blueberry treasures under your arm and a feeling of satisfaction. Some places are worth the drive. Some are worth the hype. Everything sounded great so I'd love to come back for lunch. The pastry case was calling me, so I got one blueberry donut and a blueberry lemon donut to take home. They were fresh and lightly glazed. The lemon was my favorite. There is a seating area and this looks like a really nice place to enjoy an afternoon. I will hopefully be back soon!
